B.C. vs Saskatchewan Premier of B.C. Gordon Campbell is jogging with his dog along a nature trail. A coyote jumps out, attacks and kills the dog. #1. The Premier starts to intervene, reflects upon the movie "Bambi" and then realizes he should stop; the coyote is only doing what is natural. #2. He calls animal control. Animal control captures coyote and spends $200 testing it for diseases and $500 to relocate it. #3. He calls veterinarian. Vet collects dead dog and spends $200 testing it for diseases. #4. Premier goes to hospital and spends $3,500 getting checked for diseases from the coyote and on getting small scratch wound bandaged. #5. Running trail gets shut down for 6 months while wildlife services conduct a $100,000 survey to make sure the area is clear of dangerous animals. #6. Premier spends $50,000 of Provincial funds implementing a "coyote awareness" program for residents of the area. #7. BC. Legislature spends $2 million investigating how to better handle rabies and how to possibly eradicate the disease. #8. Premier's security agent is fired for not stopping the attack and for letting the Premier intervene. #9. Cost: $75,000 to train new security agent. #10. PETA protests the coyote relocation and files suit against the Province. Saskatchewan: Premier Brad Wall of Saskatchewan is jogging with his dog along a nature trail. A coyote jumps out and attacks the dog. #1. Premier shoots coyote and keeps jogging. #2. Cost: Premier has spent $0.50 on a .45 ACP hollow-point cartridge. #3. Crows eat dead coyote. ----------------- Any wonder why B.C. is going broke????

Got me a centerstand
friesman replied to Beau-Kat's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I was kinda wondering if anyone thinks this would be adaptable to the G2 bikes. I like the look and it wouldnt be such a pain getting it up on the stand. http://www.latus-harley-davidson.com/Chrome-Display-Stand.htm Brian PLus it may be able to be used as highway pegs if it was designed right. -

hmm not sure, i think it was just an H4 Bulb there really arent too many differences. I would just take yours out and go down and compare it. Brian -

I have the Sylvania Silver Star Bulb in mine. It does help somewhat, but I didnt notice a huge improvement. Your experience may be better as your headlight isnt in a dark black tunnel like my 85's is. Brian -
That Loop was kinda on my agenda too, but its not quite as far outta my way as it is outta yours...lol Brian

I was there years ago in summer and the going to the sun hiway is a must, Logan pass is great! I like the Kalispell, BigMountain area as its kind of the way the old west used to be in the area. (We spent quite a few winter vacations in the area when I used to ski, but skiing got way too hard for this old fat guy, lol!) I am kinda planning on making a trip that way next summer after Cody to circle around and then go home, if ya want to make a trip of it, let me know. Brian

Ive found using those disposable plastic gloves like the restaurants use while preparing your food work great as a glove/mitt liner to keep you dry, and if your skin is dry, youre usually warmer. For years ive also used just regular grocery bags on my sock feet before putting on my boots and it seems to work for me when going out to ride on a damp, cold day. Brian

Anyone looking for a First GEN???
friesman replied to bluerstd08's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Sorry to hear that you had to go thru all that, Earl. I hope guys that try to scam others get theirs one day. I am wondering if its possible to start a list somewhere of scam artists names somewhere so we could just have a quick look before we buy something off ebay, or CL. I guess there would just be too many to keep a list like that up, and thats just too bad thngs are going that way. Brian -
I dont know what youre really asking here, youre confusing me...(its easy to do...lol) BUT I always butter the bisquit on the side that looks like it will hold the most amount of butter in the little holes or creases, of course on the top and the bottom half after splitting....heheh Brian

Ive been told that you should just stabilize (or Seafoam) the fuel and make sure the tank is full to prevent rusting then store it. Mine has sat from mid August one year until April next year full of fuel and it started and ran just fine. Ive been told that running dry is hard on the rubber seals etc. I am running a battery tender from time to time on mine throughout this winter. I screwed up a couple of years ago and stored the bike with no charge in the battery and it wouldnt take a charge in the spring, so I had to replace a battery that was less than a year old. (expensive lesson.) brian

I have lights on my G1 but i picked the bright yellow (brighter than that yellow fog-style light) so they would stand out in the traffic. I run mine a lot of the time, but in heavy stop and go traffic i turn them off as I worry about battery charge as they are 50 w bulbs. Brian

Jardine Rumblers
friesman replied to FROG MAN's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
If ya need em, and ya thinkin the price is ok, i think you should go for it. As I understand that Jardine isnt makin exhausts for the G1's anymore. And neither is MAC so we G1 owners might be outta luck unless we could adapt the RoadKink exhausts. I love the sound of my jardines, nice and rumbly until you twist, then they sound kinda like a chevy small block under load at full throttle. Brian:mo money:- 1 reply

Sorry to hear that, Rooster, i hope it turns out for the better for ya. The same happened to me about 14 years ago, I decided to take some computer networking classes, found out the govt had programs for older guys like me to retrain me and it has been great ever since!. It was a win from every angle! I hope that you find something that you like to do to take the place of your old job. Brian

You may see us (and the scoot) in a soup commercial
friesman replied to SilvrT's topic in Watering Hole
Ive looked on you tube and havnt seen it, youtube only has the first in the series uploaded. The group of ads are under the umbrella " its amazing what soup can do". If you find it please let us know. Brian -
Rocket showed me that a turkey baster works too, just pull the bulb off the top and make it fit into the hole and youre ready to bleed. BUT please remember NOT to fill it up all the way, leave some space at the top for expansion. brian
