  1. Good stuff !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,,,,, don't forget to pack a lunch,,,, and oh,, get up in time.
  2. Now that you ask,,, I'm really not sure, I have a 4G in mine, but I checked the web site and the owners manual and it doesn't give limitations, so I may have this info from a former GPS and it just stuck with me,,, so it may take something larger. It is a Micro-Card though.
  3. Oh you uninformed person you,,, my daughter moved away from you about 2 years ago,,, guess maybe she heard about the goings on over there, she moved to Brechin ON, now she has further to drive,,, but she comes regularly. And yes, you is getting older, hopefully so,,, and one day soon you may also be 'retired' then we could ride together if you can find the time.
  4. Have you tried looking to see if it's on the light still???? Don't ask.
  5. I got the Zumo 660 by mistake,,, don't ask, long story. I'm glad I did. It's: Waterproof MC compliant Reads fine in sunlight Works the way it should You can download routes planned on Map Source Has a SD card slot up to 4G Does back track so you can see your back route and make it a custom route. Names, addresses and phone numbers Blue tooth Lane assist,,, nice item You can put 4 different info displays on the screen, such as distance to travel, speed and whatever other info it tracks Comes with mount for car and MC and knows where it's mounted Keeps track of your fuel level and you only need to push a button once to find a fuel station when it shows up. Easy to unclip from mount,,, really easy and that's nice. It drops onto pavement and keeps working. Along with all that, it does what a GPS should do,, all the basics. What it doesn't have is an FM transmitter, so you need a patchcord for sound in the car,, the bike is hard wired.
  6. Well if you are coming through Ontario, stop by to say HI. Enjoy your trip.
  7. Once it past 4X then it becomes a TENT!!!! Right Tom????
  8. Sounds to me like you should be replacing the rear bearings, then also take a look at the splines between the pumpkin and the wheel,(you would only need to replace the wheel half) and while you are all down and dirty anyways, take apart the swing arm and clean it up and put in new bearings and spacers. It's all gonna cost a few bucks, but when you got it done, you'll have peace of mind, and be set for as long as you own this scoot, except for the splines, which if they run dry again may have to be replaced again. Also you should tend to the drive shaft to make sure both ends have not gone dry. That's a fun job, but if you are waiting for parts, you'll have the time to fool around.
  9. Doesn't work? my foot!!!! Just for your information, I am married, and if that isn't enough she was pregnant 6 times and each time one came out, so that makes 6 kids,, all with their needs and wants and wishes,,,, ya and then there is always the business to look after and help them out to catch up. Ya I do have time on my hands and go riding around the country when I got nothing better to do,, just to visit friends,,,, have you seen me lately?
  10. I tought you were there,,, so where are the pictures?
  11. OK so now I got mail as well,,,,,,,, hey, not the offer I expected, but if Squidley gets the same offer, no wonder you ended up in a cruiser,,,,,,, ya that's right, I do believe I have an actual offer for a MASSAGE. Now the question is, do I dare take this offer?????
  12. How come the rest of us don't get mail??? Don't we rate????
  13. Wizard765 and Marcarl are PMing just fine,,, maybe tooo fine,,,,, nahhhh
  14. All right, it's back to leaving our place at 6:30 pm. I edited the first post to read correctly. See you all tonight,,, most likely destination,,,,, Woodstock.
  15. I had thought about doing that,,,, did it help???
  16. In Canada we have a product called 'Seal All' made by Eclectic Products Inc, Pineville LA 71361. Phone 800.767.4667 for info. No I didn't spell it wrong. This is wonderful stuff, clean your tank, rub some on and wait about 5 minutes, cover the area with a cigarette package type material, and do it again, wait 15 minutes before you fill the tank. I have fixed leaky gas tanks with this stuff, holes in oil pans, sewer pipes on my motor home and what ever else needs to be leak proofed. You don't even need to drain the tank, just hold it there with you finger for a minute or two, and the leak is stopped. http://www.eclecticproducts.com/sealall.htm
  17. Got to hold your tongue right!!!!! no if's and's or but's, it's either right or it's not going to work. Actually, the spline fits into the u-joint 'just so', it needs to be lined up to within 0 degrees tolerance, at least that is a good assumption. Close will not be good enough, so patience is a virtue. One time you'll get it right, right off the bat, and the next time it may take 4 hours! YA!! Just don't go nuts and use a hammer, won't help none at all.
  18. got it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a new trick, post it on VentureRiders, threaten to take down the swing arm, look at your wife with,,,,,, never mind, that didn't work,,,,, Actually, what I expected to happen a long long time ago, like last night,, just happened. Now to install the rest of the stuff. Yahoooooooo!!!! Thanks Guys,,, you're the greatest bunch around,,, don't know what you did,,, but you didded it.
  19. Tried all that so far,,, even slept on it,,,,, just in case somebody thought that would be an idea. Thanks so far. Carl
  20. I needed to grease the splines, so I also took the drive shaft out,,,, not a biggie,,, I done this before, even wrote on how to do it the easy way, without extra tools. Now it WON"T go in,,, it just won't go in,,, I mean it just won't engage. I can wiggle the u-joint, turn the U-joint, see the u-joint, get the shaft started into the u-joint, but it won't engage. Anybody have any ideas???????? 4 hours at this, and I'm a little frustrated.
  21. Opening your big mouth once too often??? and not for ice-cream?
  22. If you haven't taken the whole system apart to clean and refurbish it,, then now is the time and add the stainless lines as well, it would be long overdue!!!!
  23. Take the whole system apart, clean it all, install new seals etc, add stainless lines and you'll be surprised when you hit those brakes!!!!! You'll also be surprised at all the crystals you'll find in the system, you'll wonder that you manged to stop at all. Do everything, front and rear, and don't forget the stainless lines. Takes a little time, but boy the results are awesome. And oh ya,, put in the stainless lines.
  24. Just a thought,,,, a little thought,,, maybe we can help out here somehow,, so here's the question: What sort of bike would Quickstep want to ride when he's over here, there may be one in the 'junk pile' we can resurrect for the occasion, or maybe we can even find one that runs half descent, with tires and all. So the question is: does it need to be bigger than a scooter, as big as a Wing, does it need to rock like a HD, how many bags will be required if any, does he want to tow a trailer? Just tell us what might be in store, can't make any promises, but we have time, so ideas can be worked on.
