  1. Nah, that a women's ride since Eileen drove it. I would need a black one anyways, or a red one,,, grey is just nondescript.
  2. Nope, didn't buy any lights from you that I can remember,,,, brackets, yes, but no lights.
  3. She regal enough, doesn't want a trike. Oh you don't know what you're suggesting, don't even go there!!!
  4. What???????? you haven't sold it yet,,,, you're asking too much I bet.
  5. And here all along I thought mine wasn't working, because when I turned on it nothing got damp, not even me!! I looked for a place to add the damping juice, but could only find the blinker juice reservoir.
  6. You should have seen what Squidley put on his scoot one time,,, he liked them, and nobody else decided that they needed to comment,,, or dared to comment. Your's look good, no question about that, you can keep them on!
  7. How did I know that was coming:whistling:
  8. Marca says she's still too young to put out to pasture, so she's riding again tomorrow. So now I'm being limited,, no more u-turns, no more scenic routes, no more gravel roads, no more farmers' barn yards and now no more going out to pasture,,,,,, what's this riding thing coming to:think:
  9. It does happen, well it seems to anyways,,, and it's not the first time she went and did this,,,can't blame me really, I mean I was trying everything and I really wasn't looking forward to do any straining or hard work. Ya I know, I should have been more cautious out there in the farmers' field doing a slow turn, but crap happens and it happened again yesterday. And then the smoke started coming out of the wires,,, oh no, that means I might have to walk home,,, not a good thing either,,, but hey, all is well that ends well,,, right???? Now the story. Went for a nice ride yesterday to Wainfleet ONT to enjoy the times of yesteryear. Lots to see and do. Followed our fearless leader over hill and vale, around curves and corners, dodged pot holes and road kill and finally ended up at our destination, but alas there was limited parking for kickstand bikes, but if we did a u-turn in a field we could park on some gravel... good thought,,,,, until,,,,,,,,,,,,, well that's where it happened, doing a slow turn, unable to give much throttle, through pasture, the front wheel decided to head further left than it was designed and Scamper did a slow roll over. All seemed to be ok, except for Marca who decided not to stay put,(can't say as I blame her) and put her foot out and promptly fell over and hurt her shoulder, (it's ok now). She says she knows better, we have been down before and she stayed put with absolutely no damage at all,,, interesting to see that,,,, bike on it's side and Marca sitting there yet like it's going somewhere, but not this time. Got help from Wayne and Steve to set Scamper back up and view any damage. Not much really, a broken air wing, a mirror facing the wrong way, hiway peg not in the right spot and just a little smoke coming out of a wire,,, life was good, could have been serious. Turns out, the smoke was coming out of the running light wire, right where it attached to the fuse block,,,was a loose connection, but rode home with the 4 ways on until I could get it fixed,,,, ready to ride again,,,, 10 am Monday. Freebird will want to keep me as a member,,, I pay well.
  10. Always use new seals!!!!!!
  11. You need to pull the wheel, then drive the bearings out from the opposite side. The spacer in between the bearings moves over to allow you to set a driver tool on the bearing inner race. Not all that bad of a job. Bearings are available from your local bearing dealer and at a lot better price.
  12. Depends on the grease you used for the splines. If you didn't use good stuff, they could be dry by now, for the time it takes, take a look.
  13. Check the vacuum line on the left front of the engine. Make sure it's connected to the left front carb and that it is in good shape.
  14. Next I see a bigger garage, best get started on the footing and foundation soon, I hear it takes about a year to get that done,, after that though, it's a piece of cake, unless you decide to go sliding.
  15. My 85 could use some engine cover inserts,,, I'm just saying, and wishin
  16. Maybe it's: where do I begin, and do I get to finish?
  17. Marcarl

    Confused

Don't worry about it,,,unless she plans on coming back.
  18. There's a line going from the petcock to the fuel filter. It runs under a seam in the tank. The seam has a protector on that spot where the line goes under it, so that the line isn't cut by the seam and the swing arm. If you lost the protector, then you may have a little bitty hole in it there. You should see wet if that is the case.
  19. Try Dalton Timmes, or the insurance broker you have for your house or car. I found a much better deal with my broker for my car, but it will depend on whether they handle MC insurance. I didn't think mine did until I asked again, and sure enough, they had just changed their minds and were now dealing with it. Dalton Timmes uses Kingsway, as do some others. Get some quotes even if they all use Kingsway. One year I found a $300 difference from 2 brokers both using Kingsway.
  20. If you just hit the light with a hammer it will go out, don't think it will help any with the starting\running thing, but it will make the light go out. As an added bonus you might find that you have 'fixed' some other things in the process.
  21. So just exactly where is it that you need support? and why is it that you need a whole crew for this job?
  22. So much for trunk space. One thing to keep in mind, if you really need a horn and use it, do you want somebody looking for a train, semi, or a motorcycle. It's just that sometimes you may want the other person to react, but they WILL need to know what to react to, and it might take them a while to identify the issue if they are looking for the wrong thing.
  23. Just glad my passport expired, now I got a reason not to go over there!
  24. Check all the panels, inside and out. They should all be tight to the underlay. If there is looseness, that shows signs of leaking. Don't forget the ceiling, especially around any vents and other protrusions through the roof.
