1. [i was so happy when i found out this morning i started crying....!!! At least this time they were tears of joy. Very happy to hear your good news. I hope that is just the first of many silver linings you find through all of this. Hope to see you at Bills this weekend. Until then, we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers as well.
2. Thanks for the post. I got the same virus last year and Spyware Doctor found it and isolated it. I tried Bit Defender, which found it, but couldn't do anything with it. It even got onto one of our computers at work yesterday, and we have a good anti-virus system in place. It took our I.T. guy a couple of hours to clean the mess up. Like you said, the warnings look official. The warning that came up on ours had the work "Windows" in it and looked like it was straight off a Micro Soft website.
3. Do I need to install the pontoons before we leave Arkansas??
4. Can't understand why a guy named "Frog Man" has a problem with a little water. Don't wait too long for that 1st ride though. Our forcast is for 10 days of rain and it will then be going your way. Supposed to be high and dry here just in time for Snarley Bill's M & E.
5. Mike, nice to see you back on the site. What happened, is the honeymoon over?? That's right, we are starting up right where we left off.
6. Jeff, just want to add to what everyone else has said, you be careful, stay safe, and check in from time to time. We will miss you on here, but I'm sure wifey will keep us all posted. Prayers lifted up for your safety.
7. Okay Bill, I am hereby confirming that Patricia and I will be there!! Booked our rooms today and they are non-refundable. Looking forward to a good time with good friends. Maybe, if you will take me under your "Wing" and make me behave, I'll make some more new friends along the way. Send me your contact info just in case you get lost up there. Jim
8. Good luck Cindy. Our thoughts and prayers are still with you and the family.
9. They must have heard you were coming. :rasberry: Seriously Mike, looks like you're having a great time. That's one part of the country I haven't had the opportunity to visit but definitely want to some day. Enjoy the trip and send more pics.
10. Ozark

Boned again

Now that is one shady transaction. It may not be illegal, but definitely not right. Call the better business bureau and file a complaint. They don't have much pull, but at least you may feel a little better.
11. Nice job and the price is definitely right. I especially like the "flames" coming out the exhaust.
12. My lovely wife only wants to know one thing... What's for desert ? ? ?
13. "Cruising Slowly" is synonomous or equal to "Riding a 2nd Gen". I knew I would have to explain that to all 1st gen riders. :rotf:
14. It's for cruising slowly while the 2nd gens are trying to catch up!!
15. Just wanted to say welcome to the group. Hang around a few days and you'll hang around a few years. These people not only know bikes, they know people and food. Be very careful, the Surgeon General has declared that this site might be addictive, but it's a very good addiction.
16. You, Eileen, and the family are in our prayers. Hold fast to GOD and he will see you through this journey as well. May GOD bless you all. Jim & Patricia
17. No promises, but I get my bike out of the shop today and Patricia has already hinted that your ride sounds like fun. I'll confirm in a few days. Hope it works out this time. Jim
18. Good to hear that you are up and out. It sounds like everything is going well with your recovery, so have FUN..
19. I'm agree totally. Further, if they decided to take a two or three hour joyride and then decide not to buy the bike, just pick a dollar amount and deduct it for rental charges. Telling them ahead of time will probably remove most of the phonies.
20. Don, glad everything has went well so far. As "Eck" said, I Have Faith. We will keep you and your family in our prayers as well. Jim & Patricia
21. Dan, really sorry to hear of your situation. It sounds like things may be looking up since you and Lina are both back into being gainfully employed. Hope it all works out well for you. Hope to see you back on the rode soon. Jim & Patricia
22. I just take Eck with me. Problems solved. Moderators rule!!
23. Man, I can't believe Don would say something like that. I seem to remember a couple of 1st gen owners having to push start our illustrious leaders bike at a Vogel rally a couple of years ago. Now regarding the toolkit, my '88 model doesn't have any straps to hold it in the saddle bags, but it is a fairly good kit. Like someone said, you could buy a pretty good set of tools for what it will cost on ebay. Maybe someone has a list of tool supplied with a 1st gen. As far as the dipstick it concerned, I think most check the oil level with their little finger.
24. It looks like it's worth checking into. I know the neckwraps you put in the freezer help for a while. Down here in Arkansas, when it gets really hot on a ride, we just look for a center pivot irrigation system that over sprays onto the highway. A slow detour through that COLD well water will keep you cool for several miles.
25. Looks like someone had a handsaw, a stack of 2x4's, and lots of time on their hands. THEY WASTED ALL OF THE ABOVE!!
