I drive truck part time and go into Canada every week, it's a real pain. In fact somtimes I wonder if customs are going to let me back in. Now I work full time as a police officer. In the last few years there have been several illegals move into the area. I have had to deal with several of them. One of them we had to fight with and he ended up kicking out a window on one of our cruisers. The kicker is INS wanted nothing to do with him, even after we discovered his fake ID, and green card.

I wish I had her money. It must be nice to be loaded because of what your parents did. This is a person that has nothing to offer to society.

I have a 2008 Ultra do in first week of Dec. I went with it mostly because it fits better. After owning an 05 RSV I found it to be a bit large for me. I really, really hope I don't regret. I'm looking foward to post my thoughts on the difs between the two.

I have a good friend that had the same problem. It was so bad and he was always tired from not sleep at night he could fall asleep anywhere, and when I say anywhere I mean it ie...we were in a strip club in KY one time. The place was hoppin, he fell asleep twice. we nearly got tossed out because of it. Several years ago he went thu the sleep test and got the machine. This changed his world around. He feels better and ever looks younger. Here's his emailgreg@independencedata.coml if you want to talk to him for advice. good luck Ken

Last week I started a thread about my neighbor who as nearly mint 1300 that he never rides, he just starts it up, lets it run and shuts it off. Well the day after the thread he took it for a ride. I'm now wondering if he follows the forum.

This is what I'm leaning toward after getting a call from Break Pad. Did you use any sand for a non slip areas. Can I do it in 40 degree weather. I got a new bike comming in Dec and would like to get r done before it arrives.

Defiance Ohio (northwest ohio). Just a few miles from the old canal locks where you can take a ride on an old canal boat draw by a set of mule. Lot a state parks within a short drive. Harrison State park is one of then, good for camping, swimming, and fishing. I about a two hour drive from Cedar Point, that about the only place in this area to find any twisties

I have this neighbor, he's an older guy. He has a mint 1st gen 1300 parked in his garage around 8,000 miles on it. I've lived in my house going on four years and only saw him ride it once or twice. He will go out to his garage and just start it up, let it run for a bit and then shut it off. I feel sorry for the bike, it sound great and I'm sure it just want to get out there and run.........

$2.00. I'm pretty cheap so I dont' go out to eat very often, but when I do I almost always leave $2. There are some exceptions. I took a ride down to Brown County IN and stopped at Cheese Burger In Pardise (great food) We got seated and sat there in the middle of the place, waiter and waitress walking by like we were not even there. I was almost to the point of leaving when a waitress walked up a asked if we had been waited on. I did not get upset with her. I just explained we had been waiting for about 20min. She apoligized and took our order. We were almost finished when she came out with the manager and told use the meal was on the house minus drinks. So here is what I did. Drinks were like $10 and the meal was $30. I paid for the drinks and gave the waitress $30.

On Fri there were two crahes in my area. In one of them a rider was east bound when a west bound vehicle tried to pass another west bound vehicle hitting the rider head on. On the other crash the rider was hit from behind on forced into the other lane where he was hit by oncoming traffic.

I've been a police officer going on 17 yrs, and have been driving truck part time for the past four, it's great extra money for buying toys. I get paid by the hour so I really don't mind sitting in traffic, but it still sucks. I travel to OH, IN, MI, IL, PA and Canada. Just a word of warning about Canada. They have different rule then the FMCSA and will shut you down in a heart beat, been there done that. If your looking for a seven on seven off I think Roehl? does this for about $30,000 a year.

I had an 05 that I put a set of red running light on just under the trunk. The light were double filiment so they also worked as brake lights. I think I still have them in my garage, along with the bracket. When on the bike they looked factory.

I'm sure there has been a post on how many riders have the chirp/whine and how many don't. Were can I find it? Is the noise there from the start or does it appear over time, can it be heard at idle. I ask because I'm looking at a new one tomorrow and scared I might be pay for somthing I don't want ie..the whine.chirp.

I had an 05 without the Chirp, and like a fool I sold it.

Ok I did this on my 05 Midnight, and let me tell you it looked cool!. It's been a couple of year now but if I recall it was pretty easy to do. 1) you have to remove the radio antenna. 2)unplug the CB 3) remove the bolt that hold the truck on, be sure to have help so that the truck does not slide down, or fall over. 4) once the truck is off you will see the wires that run to the rear and metal clips that hold the wires in place. 5)I just bent the clips over and broke them off. 6) Go to the dealer and pic up a rear finder bib. My had studs on it. 7) get some really good velcro to attach the tank bib. 8) get so rubbing compound to remove small circles left by rubber mounts on the bottom of the truck. 9) make an "L" bracket to hold the antenna to the finder 10) EXPLAIN TO THE BOSS WHY SHE CAN'T GO FOR A RIDE. and that it. It took me just a few hour to chance the look. I know this did not change how the bike rode and handled, but somehow it just felt like I was on a different bike. Oh ya, I did not take any pics and have since sold her. I think there may be some pics of one at venture.org
