Skid replied to badluck73's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
On average on the interstates I'll get around 42. On my trip to Vogel this year my best was 47 mpg running easy to and from the Dragon..... -
Hoping for good news in November.....

The summer just isn't long enough to fit all of the meet & eats in. The last weekend in June was all I had open. You and Kim are always welcome anytime you want to come down.

I hope to make it this year myself. I always had the Skid-In the last weekend of June, but I'm going to cancel the Skid-In for 2010. I doubt if it would be worth it.

When ever you decide, I was hoping for May myself since the Skid-In is the last weekend in June, but I can cancel it this year to make Maintenance Day.....

June may be a busy month.....

I did the same thing this past June. Went from my 86 VR that I owned for 13 yaers to a 2002 Midnight. Definately two very different machines. Each one has its advantages. I really enjoy the 2nd Gen, but when its comes to performance, handling and power, the First Gen will win hands down. When I want a big comfortable cruiser, back to the 2nd Gen.....

Next Vogel will be August 2011, but I figure there will be some Meet & Eat going on near Asheville again next year....
-
But the Midnight is hard to beat...

Yeah I had my 2nd Gen a month till someone else walked over and showed me it had a clock too....
-
All my vehicles are paid for, and I like it that way...
-
August 2010? Are you sure?
-
Thanks for the updates, If he keeps busy it will go by faster...

Have we decided which tire is better for these big machines? Before moving up to a 2nd Gen, I never worried about my tires....
