    MP3 Player

Bubber Thought this might be helpful A cassette tape MP3 player 1) inexpensive 2) No wires - stays hiddden in your Cassette player 3) You can use it as a portable player with headphones 4) Uses standard SD memory cards Thought some of you might be interested in this. Its posted at "thinkgeeks.com" http://www.thinkgeek.com/images/products/front/standalone_or_car_cassette_mp3_player.jpg http://www.thinkgeek.com/images/alt-image-zoom.gifZoom http://www.thinkgeek.com/images/alt-image-more.gifMore Images Will the cassette tape ever die? In between the beloved LP record and the now familiar CD, there was another music media format - the cassette tape. It was very popular during the 80's and one thing that definitely made it standout was that, unlike a LP, you could easily record onto a cassette tape. Before that your recording options were primarily limited to reel-to-reel tape machines, which were usually pretty large and sometimes not so friendly. Being able to record onto cassette tape also lead to the ever popular "mix tape" - which was usually a collection of kick ass songs you'd give to your wannabe girlfriend or someone else you were trying to impress. http://www.thinkgeek.com/images/products/other/standalone_or_car_cassette_mp3_player_embed.jpg This MP3 player is built into a standard cassette tape, letting you use it as either a uniquely old-school-style MP3 player, or with any car cassette or cassette player to play your music. You will have no problems listening to hours of your favorite songs via the built-in SD card slot, and you can easily change to different songs if you have multiple SD Cards. If you are into retro style looks but with a new technology upgrade, this is a MP3 player worth adding to your gear.

    Sunglasses

Rek58 I am trying to buy some 7eye prescription sunglasses in Canada. Best price is around $700-$875 for a Diablo with a prescription lense A HUGE rip off up here. Was wondering if anyone knows of a reputable place for an online prescription order of these glasses? I have tried the Wiley-X and there are no prescription units available here on the west coast of Canada Any advice on other less expensive prescription sunglasses?
  3. Krispy Great offer. thanks - but I am not sure I am going this route. May look at the "floorboard" highway pegs as a more comfortable option. Thanks again however for the offer.
  4. Anyone added the heel rests to their Kuryakyn highway pegs or other pegs? Wondered if some models work better than others and if the heel rest really does help make those long trips more comfortable? Any pictures of these work? Would a highway floor board work better than a peg with a heel rest ? Appreciate all feedback!
  5. I thought about installing a combined turn signal/brake light bar. Seems that defeats the purpose that the main message is "I am stopping" to the person behind me. I now plan to buy the Signal Dynamics 15" LED light bar with high and low intensity. I recall there being installation instructions somewhere as to how to install this light bar under the rear trunk? Anyone completed this installation and have some tips, instructions or photos for me to use for installation ? Appreciate the help.
  6. I plan to install the 15" light bar on the rear of the bike this winter. This site has some good instructions on how to do this and several good sites to buy from. I see the lights have high and low intensity - so they are wired for driving lights as well as brake lights. I thought during my web searches that there was light bar that also did turn signals? The entire light bar goes high intensity for the brake The left side of the light bar flashes on a left turn and the right sides stay intense The entire bar stays at low intensity while driving Is it possible to buy a light bar that can offer driving, brake and turn signal features?
  7. On a 2005 RSV
  8. Road Warrior What grips, brake and shifter covers did you get from Kuryakyn? Have you looked at the HDCH-990 3 pouch windshield bag from Sierra Elctronics for $85. I read in most places this is the best fit with no alterations for a Venture.
  9. Not sure what bags you are referring to? If its a windshield bag - I have read that the J&M 3- Pocket Leather Storage pouch works the best? HDCH-990 - available in studded or plain Not sure about the tool pouch - as I am looking for one of those as well. No recommendations on any other bags Not sure that helped.
  10. Midnight I see there is a nice new black Trekker (to match your 2007 Midnight) on Ebay in Quebec from the manufacturer for a good discount. With the Canadian dollar trading at 78 cents USA- the USA products are all pretty expensive - or will be once current stock runs out.

  15. If its not too late I would also like to view Vancouver (Canuck)
  16. I was wondering if anyone can provide any recommendations around a good full face helmet. I have been reading a lot about the value of a full face versus the 3/4 and I am thinking about changing. Some areas of concern for me: venting wicking material liner removable liner headset capable liner sun visors weight safety rating I would appreciate any recommendations or any links to some good helmet review info. Thanks:confused24:
  17. The posts on this site seem to lean towards the J&M headsets and additionally that the least expensive ones work quite well. I wanted to but an inexpensive set due to limited two up riding. Asked the vendor for the JM-HS-8154 -FF for my wife's full face HJC helmet and the and the JM-HS-8154 -OF for me. Vendor responded that the mic on the open face was not long enough to reach the mouth?? Anyone using the JM-HS-8154 -OF model? Any feedback on performance?
  18. How difficult are BUBS to install on a 2004 Venture?
  19. Interesting timing of this post. I have a 2004 (with new tires this week) coming thru the Rocky Mountains yesterday in heavy winds. Felt a little unnerving. I thought the narrower Avon (as recommended on this site) might have created a lighter tracking?
  20. I need some help. I ordered a new set of WWW Avons in March from a Western Canada dealership. After repeated promises of April 4 delivery - I was informed today that my $135 Avon MT90HB16 WWW (the narrower unit suggested by several people on this list) will require a few more months of waiting. Would anyone have any ideas where I might purchase this tire for a western canadian ? I appreciate your suggestions and ideas. Thanks in advance for your help
  21. I purchased a 2004 RSV in the Fall of 2007 and just recently joined this forum. I am planning some add ons for the bike to prepare for two up riding once the Canadian winter leaves. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations around any solid wireless communications options? Something that both riders could listen to an ipod/communicate/ and know if the cell was ringing? Any luck with Bluetooth? Thought I might try this before buying wired technology. Appreciate any advice
  22. Thanks all I am going to go with Maineyak's recommendation Appreciate all of your offers and recommendations.
  23. Thinking about buying the Yamaha tank Bib Leather Tank Bra STR-4XY49-10-01 Its the dual pocket studded version Big bucks from Yamaha Any recommendations on where I could get the best on line price? Appreciate any other ideas or recommendations as well!!
  24. So we agree that the 130/90HB-16 works out to a MT90HB-16. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where to buy a new set of whitewalls in this size for my 2004 RSV? Anyone have a recommended supplier?
  25. I am new to this forum as well as the Venture itself. My 2003 does not have a set of driving/lights - just a single headlight. I was wondering if there was a "best" alternative for buying a set of lights and a bar that would be of high quality and that could be installed with no modifications. Appreciate any direction on this.
