  1. Sorry Seaking - have not found any in Canada - as these are pretty size specific. Bought mine from J&P
  2. I was wondering if there was any "trick" to seperating the existing relector from the plasctic mounting unit - so the LED can be taped in. Apply heat etc? I dont want to wreck the plastic housing. Thanks
  3. I was wondering if anyone had any more info on these slipstreamer windshields? I have email Slipstreamer several times with no response and I cant find any info on their website (or on the web in general) about these new products. Anyone else been more successful in getting info? Appreciate the help
  4. JC Whitney just confirmed in writing that this item has been discontinued. Anyone know where else someone might get a trunk bib? Seems like an opportunity for someone to make a pretty basic leather accessory and make a few dollars. Unfortunately - I have no such talent.
  5. No such part number that comes up at JC Whitney
  6. I am looking for one too Cant see anything at this link http://www.bigbikeparts.com/Inventor...hes&catalogNo=
  7. Clearly this picture is not from India - note the plates There are 71 million motorcycles between China and India - so they know more about bikes in India than most North Americans will ever know - including how to ride with a family of 3 on board and repair them with no formal tools or training. Not sure who made up this story - but it just perpetuates stereotypes of people in India -which are not true speaking as one who has worked there many times - but it also perpetuates stereotypes of North American bikers who make up and believe such stories. I fail to see the humour.
  8. Saw one of these the other day. Seems like a great addition to any bike or car. Could come in handy some night out on the road. Thought it might be a good stocking stuffer - one I would like to have Any other "stocking stuffer" ideas out there for the biker ? Christmas is just around the corner. http://lighterlight.com/
  9. I have not used these - but with my short legs I feel these would wok best for me. When I simply place my boot heel in different positions on the existing floor boards _ i feel it is more comfortable than the engine guard peg I have attached another option as well http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/detail.cfm?model_ID=0&Category_ID=6&manufacturer_ID=6&product_ID=7600
  10. Just bought one last weekend The guy I bought it from said it was amazing. Got the 52 inch wider wheel base model Need to modify my hitch as the trailer hitch pin (not a ball type hitch so the trailer cant flip) which gets bolted to the vehicle needs to be a maximum of 13 of the ground level The former owner said it tracked great. The wheels and axle are pretty large and he was towing at 120 KPH (around 70mph) with no problems Need to buy some new tie downs and maybe some reflectors to better define the trailer at night

  13. Freebird Money/Paypal sent for one mug Birin
  14. I am trying to order some leather pieces from Chilhowee leather during their 15% off sale. Problem is that the cost of shipping these small items to Canada is worth as much as the leather. It would be helpful to send to a USA site and then simply have it mailed to me. Anyone care to help out a Canadian member? Birin
  15. Ok I understand the 2 antennas, the base and the fold over adapter. The "part" i am missing the the cable ends. If you don't buy the 18" coax for the CB and the 12 foot Coax for the radio - but you simply cut the ends off of the existing coax very close to the existing attenna mounts - what type of connectors (part number and installation) do you put on the now bare ends so they have a new screw pin mount to attach to the new base? I have never replaced an end on a coax before? IS that complicated? It seems most people get away with the trading of the coax ends rather than the full (and very time consuming) coax replacement. Appreciate the help
  16. I am. If there was a nice clean way to modify - I would do so.
  17. http://www.acehighleathers.com/web-content/Pages/Other_fun_Stuff.html Water bottle holders like this especially made for the Venture?
  18. I have an 04 RSV- Midnight - and thought a tool bag might look good on the front as well as give me some additional storage. I realize the bag must be the right size to span the forks as well as not hit anything when the shocks are compressed. Anyone have any recommendations on a front tool pouch/bag? Anyone installed a tool bag on theri RSV? Appreciate your input! BIRIN
  19. I was wondering if there was some specific units - part numbers - that replace the front and rear side reflectors? Birin
  20. I was wondering if anyone has tried these? They are leather cargo pockets that attach to the front of the saddlebag rails? http://saddlebagsbytalisman.com
  21. I agree with CDNDAVE. Regular bike shorts are a bit over padded. The triathlon shorts would be better for the motorcycle ride.
  22. I purchased the 15 inch light bar with turn signals and brake and running lights from Chrome Glow. Had to buy a 5 to 4 wire trailer converter to get it to work on the Venture. Good delivery, very bright lite and good pricing. Birin
  23. I bought the unit from Chrome Glow and they have not responded to my request for assistance. I think the suggestion to buy and install a converter is accurate. I need to find a 3 to 2 converter. It takes the Ventures individual right turn, left turn and brake wires and converts that to a two wire out put. When the brake is applied - the converter really just applies the left and right signals simultaneously - in effect producing a single bright light. In fairness - the Chrome Glow - website does state that the light bar can be used for showing signals or showing brake lights - NOT BOTH. Thats the problem with the light - it now needs a seperate electrical fix which makes the light very expensive to provide both functions. I am debating buying and inserting the converter - or simply wiring it for brake light only. The bike is apart - so I will look at the converter price and availability and make a choice this week before closing it all up
