  1. Maybe a support somewhere on the back isn't doing it's job and putting more stress on that part of the bike.
  2. I'd say bleed the clutch. Maybe if it needed fluid and you opened the reservoir, a little air went into the line. Stranger things have happened.
  3. I have one from Givi that came with my bike. I bought the bike used
  4. It's interesting that the problem is gear lash. It may sound stupid, but what about something like a carbon fiber primary driven gear?
  5. Why did I automatically click when I read the title of the thread??
  6. Are the RK's considered a good muffler for high performance like a Baron's or Bub's? I've posted a few times recently about trying to get more power through exhaust, re-jetting, etc. and I'm kinda new at all this.
  7. Will the road kings fit on a '99 tour deluxe?
  8. Would I need to raise the fuel tank to put that on? Maybe Peg can make a bracket for it!
  9. I was just on there and saw some for an '84 venture but that was it. Oh well, I'll keep looking. Thanks again
  10. Thanks . That helps a lot. I'll check out those carbs and will be talking with you soon.
  11. Has anyone tried this kit? I want to re-jet my carbs, then I saw this this. is it any good? Thanks
  12. Anybody have any tips on how to get more power out of a '99 Tour Deluxe? And can a VMax engine go in these bikes? Thanks
  13. I've worn one over my motorcycle jacket for cold and wind protection. Works fantastic. Columbia ski jacket with a velcro collar blocks out all the wind around the neck.
  14. Did you leave the parking brake on?
  15. I have a '99 and I think the clutch problem is the clutch slipping once in a while when I accelerate like a Vmax-throttle wide open or when the oil is cold. Other than that, it's not a problem for me and I don't plan to replace it because of those to instances. Sooo.. I don't accelerate like it's a crotch rocket and when its cold I take it easy. But as far as reasons to not buy one? When I think of one, I'll post it. Don't wait by your computer! I love mine.
  16. And is it one "T"or two??????
  17. Thanks guys. Is that rotella T 15-40 diesel oil or 15-40 motorcycle oil. is their a difference?
  18. I read somewhere here that diesel oil is OK to use in these engines. Is that 15W40? And is it true? I have a '99 Tour Deluxe and it's oil change time. I thought maybe 15-40 would get rid of the clutch whine seeing as it's thicker oil. If not, I plan to use synthetic. Bike has 31,000 miles on it. Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  19. I got an idea. Stop dropping your bikes
  20. If everything you said in your feedback was true, don't recind at all. If they didn't have the product when the auction was over, shame on them.
