Lynn, how do you keep the staples from penetrating through the pan? looks like the ends of the staples could cause leg injury, if they protrude . just jt

i have taken my seat cover off the '86, and did some major "whittling". now the recover question::what do you use to reattach the seat cover to the plastic pan? i seriously doubt that i could find 1/8 inch staples , this side of Japan, so i am open for suggestions. just jt

If you use it in your riding mower, or push mower, BE VERY STINGY with it. i used it in my john deere rider, and NOW i have to do a complete overhaul. seems to have cleaned the internals up TOO GOOD! just jt

OH MY LORD! Don, i am so sorry that i didn't see this and acknowledge it sooner! seems like i have pretty much just dug a hole, and crawled off in it. right before Christmas last, my "give a damn " broke, and it hasn't worked at all since. thanks to both you and that "skinny kid" that calls himself GRANPAW GAK! well , Gary, the "skinny "part , will happen in no time at all! thanks for remembering me. just jt

First, i have never been big on riding two wheels. when i found my '86 v.r., i wasn't even LOOKING at buying a bike. both my brothers had recently re-started riding, so i thought "what the heck". i spotted this bike in a friend's renter's yard, and asked him to find out how much the guy wanted for it. the next day, i bought the bike AND a "smitty built" trailer for $5oo.oo ! so far, in the past two years or so, i have ridden it less than 250 miles. i expect that mileage to increase, now that i don't have anything but time. just jt

J.B. sorry to hear about your "misfortune". i do hope you heal quickly and correctly. OH! if you need a "scooter chair", i have one you can use. doesn't even have 1 mile of usage on it. let me know if ya need it, and i'll get Ron to bring it up to you. just jt

same problem, different thread, and different location. if ANYONE has a "fuel petcock assembly" for sale,PLEASE p m me a price and an address. mine has started to "weep" around the gasket, and i have tried everything i can think of to "fix" it. nothing works. just jt
-
I've been awful slow about checking the threads. i just checked the scales, and at 135 pounds, i can't afford to lose , even an ounce. i will , though, make a pledge to pay .10 per pound , lost. might even start going to work everyday, and up my pledge to a dollar a pound. after all, there isn't a better cause, that i can think of! just jt

i don't know how to thank every one of you guys and ladies for all of your support, love, and well wishes! yesterday would have been our 34th anniversary! i am making it one day at a time, lots of choked up throat periods, lots of tears, but i also have lots of fond memories! you guys have "carried me through this", even though i have not acknowledged it! my our God in heaven bless each and everyone of you! just jt
