I am just throwing this out there. My clutch seems to be slipping just a little bit. Now it is too late for ordering and replacing at this stage before we begin our journey east. I was wondering if I somehow got a hold of one if I could get it changed out at the International and would there be anyone willing to help? Can this be done there? I do pull a camper so I expect that if its slipping a little now it may become alot worse by the time our trip is done. Feed back is greatly appreciated!

Celebrating Canada Day with some VentureRider Friends
sarges46 replied to Evan's topic in Watering Hole
Thats some impressive loading there let me tell ya! I just would have bought a bigger trailer....mostly cause I am not the sharpest nail in the bag. It was a great Canada Day here too. Spent the week-end at the lake with friends and nearly fried ourselves to lobster done colors! -
That is a major drag but we are glad that you are better and able to do what you can. I remember when your name was drawn for that trailer and I thought dang....didnt win again. I have a trailer so wont be bidding....hope it goes to a member of our "family" here.

Well thats a relief! I thought it might be wasted. We cant miss the rally as we are heading to the east coast and this is perfect as it is on our way....sort of anyway! If its late at least save one ice-cream for me and the misses please!

Wow! Have a great trip....we are envious and this is something I have looked at for some time now. But our thoughts are to drive all the way from here. I do hate the gravel part though. Have fun!

I got me everything crossed that my registration is gonna make it in time. Honest....the check is in the mail!!!

Sorry to hear this and also glad that its not worse! I think the most value for the wrecked bike is through parts distribution. Is the plastic all thats wrecked?

Shock year compatability?
sarges46 replied to straycatt's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Who knows!! But the vented one is the newer one and those vents are supposed to make the shock last longer. Fitment is the same. -

Can't get her off it long enough to check the wiring! It's a 02 1100 vstar custom. Mine is a 07 RSV and my buds is a 05. I will see what I can come up with regarding a pic. Thinking about it I sure don't remember this plug in on her bike when I wired the trailer lights....but it was a hundred years ago and I can't remember this morning so......

I've been thinking of this and your new items have just about sold me. Gots me a question though.....are you going to be at the International? I would get you to bring one or two for the rsv and one for my wifes 1100 vstar. That would save some gas and shipping costs.

Dulop 404
sarges46 replied to hunter 1500's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Last year I blew out the rear tire on our way down to Cody. It was replaced in Bismarck with a 404. 3000 miles later I need a new tire. There are a couple factors that will contribute to this poor performance but not this much me thinks. I was towing a camper trailer, rode some 30 miles or so in gravel. Terrible mileage. -
Nice Tom! I can stop looking for one now. I was peeking around the net trying to hook you up with one. Lucky getting a match color too....
-
I'm thinking if he is looking to buy it from the dealer then that dealer should do it. Oh....it doesn't cost anything either so don't let them charge him or use that as a bargaining tool.

Congrats to all of you! Those grandkids are sure neat....we had our granddaughter over just today!

You got it Dan...or should I say she has got it. All the best to her. Some infections are just plain stubborn....I wonder if that one is related.....
