Hello: I owned the above tandem before I purchased my RSTD. I would like to equip the trailer to haul bikes. Looks like etrack is the way to go. Any suggestions on the etrack/wheel chocks and placement of the track? Thanks.....

I have a friend that just bought a '93 Gold Wing trike. He had been trying to get back on a bike for several years but is slightly paralyzed in one arm and had to go with a trike. The front tire is a Dunlop EIII 130/70R-18 and is in need of changing. Are there any alternatives that he could use? It looks as if the trikes mainly upright stance wears out the center of the tire prematurely. Any suggestions? Thank you! Don

I got a PM asking me where the nearest campgrounds are to my house. Many camp here and anybody who wishes to do so is more than welcome. There is also space here for a few travel trailers and we have always had plenty of room so far. There are no hookups though so if you need a place with hookups, here are a couple of suggestions. Leaving the ATL on Friday for Jacksonville and want to stay off the interstates for as much of the trip as possible. Thinking of getting off I-75 at Macon and getting on US 23/341 to Brunswick and taking I-95 the short rest of the way. Anyone familiar with that route or have any alternate suggestions? Being a holiday weekend, I really don't want to deal with interstates all the way.

I recently just purchased a 2008 Rstd that was brand new left over with no miles on it. I drove it back from Arkansas to ohio which was about 800 miles and dumped the oil and put Aims oil in it. Immediately i noticed i tick noise when the motor was cold and when it warmed it didnt notice it as much. So took it to a local Yamaha dealer and he heard it as well and notified his rep. and they answered him that the covers around the motor enhance the motor noise sound. They took notice and wrote it down as a complaint of mine but thats as far as i got. Does anyone have any suggestions of what to do beyond this? I know that manual says 26,000 miles valve adjustment is needed but i dont want to pay for an adjustment if i have too? any suggestions or thoughts about this? -

Looking for some assistance. I am looking for paint source/supplier that is a match the '05 Liquid Silver of my bike. I have a rear spoiler that is black, needing to paint it to match the Silver Grey of the trunk before mounting. Any suggestions? Spray can likely is ideal, but not sure the quality finish it might produce. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

I bought the blockers from buddy rich. The velcro on the left one sticks fine but I can't get the right one to stick. I almost lost it riding home from work yesterday. Any suggestions?

My starter button feels like it wants to stick a little and feels a bit stiff. It is still cold here but it feels gummy when I press it, any suggestions?

First, a little background. I ride a first gen. Mark 2, and I've racked up a respectiable number of miles, riding one up, with full luggage and camping trailer. I don't ride fast or agressively, and prefer secondary scenic, when possible. Currently running Elite 3's. My life changed, when I found a lady who wants to share the experience. I should mention that we are both in our 70's, and not as spry and goofy as we once were. Also, our combined weight is 390 and falling (dieting). I recently added a Voiger Conversion, for stability and ease of trailer towing. I'm now looking for advise and suggestions, pros or cons, related to switching to car tires, both front and rear. What car tire size is recommended? What modifations are required or suggested? Looking forward to continuing the journey and would appreciate any input. Thank you, for your time and help. I stored my 2006 Royal Star Venture in my outside garage in November for the winter. I went to start it today, it would not let me turn the key in the ignition. I tried spraying WD 40 in the ignition but I still can not turn the key. Any suggestions on the cause? I am sure it is the right key.

We are planning on being in Oberlin for Maint. day this year. After we are taking the week off to ride on over to Va. and ride Shenandoah Valley down Blueridge Parkway, to Smokies, maybe down into Alabama. Any suggestions on where to stop, eat, places to see ????:confused24:Look forward to seeing and riding with some of the members from those areas.

I bought an intercom from Sierra Electronics and I love it, but even though it mounts under the seat out of the way there are wire connectors hanging out from under the seat and it looks awful. I'm wondering if any of you guys who are more creative than me have come up with a way to make it look like those wires belong there instead of looking junky. The wires I'm speaking of are the ones your headset plug into, and that the Ipod plugs into. Thanks for any and all suggestions. JT -
I have a 1983 Venture Royale. I believe that I have a stuck float on the front left carburetor. I tried a can of seafoam but no success. When I turn the bike over the fuel runs out a hose that is just below the tank. Anybody have any suggestions. Any help would be appreciated. Cant wait to get back on the Highway.

Hey all, just trying to get a lot of supporters for this. I think that in the forums, if you see a post you like, but dont want to quote it to show you agree with it, they should have maybe a Like button, or a Thumbs Up or Down to show that you agree with them. Given the choice, which is the better tire EMO the brigstone or dunlop 404. Have only got 10500 miles and need new rear tire after 12 months. Open to all suggestions Thanks!

Looking for a reasonable way to use a CB on my RSTD. The Midland 75-822 looks possible, but I use a half helmet and can't find any good way to mount it. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I have on ly had my 06' venture for a week. Today I put my Garmin gps on and went for a ride(I know my Garmins speedo is accurate) It showed anywhere between 3 and 5 mph to slow, it also is jittery instead of smooth, like a real needle would be. Any suggestions.
