I'm usually one of those nut jobs that insists on riding the bike in any temperature provided the roads are free of snow and dry\free of ice. So it was 19 out when I left for work this morning. Jumped onto a frozen stiff seat. The mustang seat on my volusia would do this in cold temps as well, but was never more than a less comfortable ride. With the pillow seat of my RSV, it was a major pain in the a$$ in more ways than one. Not only was it not the usual comfy ride it, but it resulted in me being about an inch further from the ground than normal. Being just shy of 5'7, that extra inch really put me on my tipy toes. I hate winter.

What is "everyone" using for Bluetooth communication? Is one brand better that another? Has anyone used the Chinese brands from Ebay? They're far less expensive and the reviews are positive. I use my RSV for business as well as pleasure so I need to have phone access when on the road. Don't want to miss that important call from a client. George

Looking for a set of stock handlebars from a 99-11 RSV. Does anyone have a set laying around after a Flanders conversion they would like to get rid of?

Just inherited this. Found out it was made between 1899 and 1902.

OK, bought the 2001 RSV back in September... I am so hooked! Even have a friend that I convinced and he now has a 99 RSV... I am now an Official Supporting Member as well... Have found tons of very useful information already, and have enjoyed stalking everyone for the last few months. Hope to possibly meet some of you soon. Merry Christmas from Oklahoma! Rod

Will the rear wheel off a RSV fit on the front?
-
I need a new rear tire for my '07 RSV and want to try a CT. I want a 165/80/15 but the Kumho that everyone seems satisfied with is no longer available. Ponch dissed the Nexen and I respect that. That leaves a Nankang or maybe a Federal. Anyone with experience with a Nankang?? I really don't want to go with a 155 such as the BFG TA. My speedometer is off bad enough as it is. And, I don't want to run higher rpms for same speed. And, I don't want the bike lower. I already have leveling links to raise the rear!!! I've not seen many posts since the Kumhos became scarce. I even did some lurking on the darksiders.com forum and no help. What is the popular tire now? I want to get what the general consensus of the users on this forum think is the best CT tire for the RSV and give it a good shot. Your experienced comments are very much appreciated. Jim

Am I the only one that has a rear shock on the oil side go out on my 2001 RSV??

My RSV has had a backfiring problem, since I went from aftermarket back to stock pipes. It has been my number one priority to resolve this issue. Well, my sync tool came in yesterday and I synchronized the carbs. What an easy job! They were way out of adjustment. I rode the bike to work this morning with NO Backfires! Unbelievable! On to the next project... When I bought my 2000 RSV three weeks ago, the helmet speakers and mic booms and cords were in a bag and the guy said he never used them. When I inspected them, they were majorly dry rotted. (must have been stored in a hot garage.) So, I would like to buy new helmet speakers and mic booms and associated wiring and a couple of helmets that this equipment would fit comfortably in. Can you guys point me in the right direction? Thank you, kindly... dana

I have an opportunity to purchase an 8x12 2010 enclosed trailer for $3k tomorrow. (distress sale, used once) Is this overkill on size to haul the Hannigan. What (I know, no one trailers their RSV) size trailer do you use?

Do you have any of these items collecting dust ? I'd be interested in helping you clean out the parts bin. Looking for chrome parts to dress up a 2008 RSV trike. Also looking for mic-mutes (4) Buddy Rich cable (1) Lower Wind Deflectors, chrome rear fender tips

I know I saw something somewhere on here about trailering a RSV. Damned if I can find it though. After 3-1/2 months, my bike may finally be fixed after I got hit. Still can't ride due to my injuries, so she needs to be trailerd home. I haven't done this before, so I'm not quite sure if I need to do anything special to the bike. Any advice would be helpful. I am planning on using a U-HAUL motorcycle trailer if that helps with the comments. Thanks. Kevin

So ...exactly one month ago I had a bit of a fall on my road bicycle. To make it short, I broke my left hip. Fortunately the break was far enough from the joint that no replacement was necessary. I did however, end up with a titanium shank and 2 bolts, one on the bottom stabilising to the femur and one at top into the joint stabilizing across the break. I was on my feet with a walker the next morning and have since graduated to two ski poles. I figure end of this week I'll be on the home bike-trainer and in another 3 weeks or so I ought to be able to ride. But an uncomfortable thought keeps creeping in; Will I be able to hold up the RSV with that left leg and how long that's likely to take. So on the chance that some of you may have had a similar experience , I thought I would ask - what should I expect?

Anyone have and old RSV stock windshield they want to get rid of. I will pay for shipping of course. Can have scratches but no cracks above the mounting area please. Thanks

First, let me introduce myself. I am Walter McGarr from Hoover Alabama. I just purchased my second RSV, a 2007 Midnight. My first RSV was a 2000 model. Rode a VTX1800 for four years after I sold the 2000 RSV. With introductions out of the way, has anyone stayed at Two Wheel Inn in Robbinsville? Heading up that way next week and was wondering what to expect. Thanks

I am in the market of buying a '99 -'03 RSV. My price range is 4,000 to 5,500 dollars. In that price I will be getting a RSV with 50,000 to 75,000 miles. To me .....that's higher miles on a bike.....but I know these Engines/Trans/Drivelines are good for 200,000 miles plus.....so I guess what I am asking is since I will be buying a higher mileage RSV.....what are the big problems that I should be watching for when shopping for an RSV with 75,000-100,000 miles? I am really beginning to like the look of the RSV Millinimum Edition......very different.....buy very classy in my eyes. Thank You.

If anyone has replaced their stock windshield from the RSV and want to get rid of it, get in touch, I need one bad, and Oh by the way, dont ever, ever, ever use any of that headlight lens restorer on your windshield, I did and it has ruined mine, cant even see through it and it wont come off, have tried everything including a buffer, just one big blurred peice of plexi now.
