Annie we carried you home with us to take you on a bit of a tour. I'll send all the pics I have once I finish taking pics. Muffinman is taking you to Afghanistan oh and Quickstep I think headed to Canada. That is as long as Charlie took him, otherwise he may be kicking back at Don's still. So you are taking separate vacations if you consider Afghanistan a vacation. But you will be well traveled. Thought it might be a bit more fun to continue your trip. Margaret

Guys/gals ... I'm contemplating buying a Valk. The one I'm looking at is Red/Black, has 23,000 miles (yes miles as it was imported to Canada from the US 3 yrs ago), has new rubber, new battery, mustang seat with driver backrest, passenger floorboards, a few chrome goodies. Looks very clean from the pics and the price is $10,500 Canadian. Any feedback would be appreciated. What mechanical things should I be concerned about with these bikes? (could I join the Wing section then? ) EDIT: Guess I'd better learn to spell Valkyrie properly eh? LOL

Angel and I just got home about 30 minutes ago. We parted from B2 Mom & Dad in Murray, Ky. We had a great time, except for the heat. We're sure enjoying the air conditioning right now. I'll have some pics and a few small videos of the ride home, a little later. It was great meeting everyone! Monty & Angel

Here is the basic install of the HID lighting system. Also tossed in a few pics of the Argus Battery Bug location and the future Digital Gauge location. Didnt have enough time to finish it today. Also my new LED lights in the rear....Also the SkyDoc R1 conversion and VMAX splitter along with the SS lines. And the reason why I dont need an alarm system..... -

At work here I have a whole slew of pics from my trip 2 years ago that I'd love to share, but I can't figure out how to transfer pics here from anywhere else but Photobucket and it would take forever to transfer the pics from where they are to photobucket then here. Is there an easier way?

in Decatur Alabama this past week. Because of this site, a couple of great people came to my rescue by getting some pics of a piece of equipment in Decatur Al. I'm in Ohio and murph35640 in Decatur bailed me out by getting the pics and emailing them to me. As luck would have it, I had to go to Tennessee and Mississippi this week so on the way back I stopped in Decatur and met Murph35640 and his wife. Timing was perfect, I got in town just in time to take them to dinner at O'Charleys, the best steak in town. Bottom line - you meet some of the nicest people on the Venture Rider site !! Most of us know what factory paint looks like and i think Yamaha has some good colors . Buuuuuuuuuuuuut you know their are a few of us that can,t leave well enough alone . so i would like to start a thread on pic's of our after market paint jobs and why we can't leave well enough alone , i'll start , sense i have painted mine 3 time in less than 3 years ! when i got mine it had a ruff life and looked pretty bad , my so called friends that i rode with where at the same feeling as me - don't care what you ride as long as you ride - until i showed up with my faded brown 1 gen , very faded brown , it was the same color of a well fed dog leaves behind . the day that i made up my mind to paint her is when i was following a friend and a another rider came up beside my friend and told him he need to change his diet because he is leaving ruff looking turds behind him , enough said , my bike got the 1st paint job ! this is the only pic's of it when it was brown . the pic and a lot of wax made it look a lot better than it was than the Met. silver with ice green next it blue and a few mods , that was after a nice lady backed over it , at present 3 stage Met white with Met. blue I showed y'all mine , now it's your turn !

I came across this First Gen while surfing ebay this morning. I thought I would pass the info along because frankly, if I cant buy it, I'd rather see someone who loves and appreciates Ventures pick it up before someone buys it just because the price is low for a "like New" cruiser. The pics are amazing, the listing says the bike has under 3k original miles on it. I already have cabin fever. If I organize another Gettysburg Spring Meet & Eat, who's in? Had a great time last year. Would love to see everyone again!
