I'm thinking it would be fun to have the same engine as my VR in a different ride. Does anyone have any experience to report with these bikes? I'm thinking of an an older model, maybe even a 89 so they match.

My 1984 Venture Royale has a model designation of XVZ12, but I've noticed there are other letters like DKC2 or DL or KC2 so.... How do I figure out what my Royale is w/o a build sheet? -
When I was 16 I had a big Yamaha 650 (I think it was 650) it was Red and White and it did not have a strater button it had a lever with a cable that went down to the starter. Does anyone know the model or the year I would like to find one to restore.

Just bought an 08 RSTD last Sunday, So far so good love the bike. got a buddy has an 06 model. Are there any major differences in the two model years ? Now I need to research tires as well as I dont like the Bridgestones on it ? Suggestions?

Hi all I'm just new to the site and have just posted an introduction. I am from Ireland and I drive a Royal Star Venture 2001 1300TF and LOVE it! There are not many here so parts are hard to come by. I am currently looking for a new full exhaust system, not slip ons. My pipes underneath are corroding and although there is only 35,000km on the clock, I would like to keep the bike alot longer. I was quoted by Yamaha Europe for a brand new set of OEM pipes at 2,800dollars. It's crazy money, can anyone recommend a full exhaust system for my model that they know will definitely fit. I really can't afford $2,800 (€2,000) but I don't want to lose the bike. The bike is running great other than a rattling exhaust..Please help! thanks for the time. Gar

Hello all I just bought a 1984 Venture with 26,000 miles from a guy who left it in the back of the garage and went to look up parts but don't know what model it is by the VIN. Could some one help me out please. Thanks in Advance. Al VIN# JYA41V007EA002580 options when I look up parts are (XVZ12DKC2) (XVZ12DL) (XVZ12KC2) (XVZ12L) Also what should I look for when I tear this bike down to inspect it. -

yes, thats right my sweet little wife has said to get the gps I want she knows not what she has done. I know some people have bought new ones lately and I am looking for the best deal. so where to buy and what model do you recomend? been looking at the zumo 665.

Looking at a rear fender luggage rack. It says it is for the 96-2000 model. Anyone know if it will fit the 2007 model. I recently purchased a 98 Royal Star, the dealer told me it is a tour deluxe but I am not so sure, it does not have all the extra that I seen in the pictures I've looked at. Does any one know where I might be able to look up the vin# to find out for sure which model of Royal Star it is? I always come up to this question when trying to purchase accessorie for the bike. I was wondering if anyone noticed that their speedometer on their RSV is not accurate? I've noticed when I take my gps with me, my speedo is 5mph slower than what the gps says. I have an 08 RSV. Is that normal for this model bike?

Our youngest son, Jason, showed up for Thanksgiving on his new ride... He just got home from Afghanistan and couldn't wait another day to get a new ride. I tried to get him to buy a new RSTD, but as you can see, it didn't work. He still wants a sporty model with SPEED. If only I was younger...

I forgot to put in the year model on my Sportser ad, which loaded just fine after I reduced the picture size. (Thanks again, Freebird!) Any way of modifying the ad? The bike is a 2000 model. If one of the admin folk have the computer power, they have my permission to make the change, or give me instructions on how to make it myself. Sorry for the hassle. As you can see, I am NOT an electron pusher at all.

Does anyone know the Clarion model numbers for the radio mcu and cassette player on a second generation Venture? I am to old,slow and tired to pull the fairing for a look see. So I am hoping someone knows the numbers. I am trying to locate Clarion service manuals for them. Thanks Mike

Hi all. I own a 1996 Tour Classic with quite a few miles on it and I'm considering buying a new bike after the winter. I looked at the Yamaha website and was surprised to see the Venture still has carburators. Does anyone know if there will be a fuel injected model? I hope so cause the next option is gonna have to be the Kawasaki Voyager if not. -
any suggestions on places to winter in the south from the Mississippi west? Wife doesn`t like humidity so Texas is questionable...looking for something like a park model trailer to rent for a couple of months in a safe location, smaller cities are better than large, good riding roads a must:301:

Hi all: What is the specific number of the Elite 3 rear tire that should be used on the 2007 Venture. Looking on line there appears to be only one (MV85HB15). Is that the one? I am running Avons Venoms at present and I know when I ordered it I had to specify which model as there was more than one that would fit Thanks for the help. JR

I have a 1983 Venture that I am trying to rebuild and the rear brake caliper was missing. The question is will any other year or model brake caliper work or do I have to find a 1983 model caliper? Thanks! -
We are looking at buying a '96 model Time Out trailer. It does not have the A/C opening, but otherwise appears to be the full sized model, not the Easy Camper. Does anyone have any knowledge / recommendations / warnings around these models? Thanks! Don

Any 1st Gens have a Voyager kit on their bike? I would like to talk to you about them. Pros and cons, used vs new, and what would be a good price for a used one? Yep, I have my eyes on a used one. OK, OK .. I know this ain't about motorcycles but where else can a guy get the greatest feedback about almost every topic under the sun? Nina's Kenmore cannister vac c/w powehead finally packed it in after (according to her) 35 years of use!!! Imagine that... only 35 years! Anyhoo, we're looking to buy a new vacuum and are contemplating a Dyson upright model DC 14 or DC 25. Been reading good stuff about these but the price tag is a little hard to swallow. Anyone got any alternate suggestions/recommendations -or- do you have a Dyson and what's your review on it? Tks for your feedback.

I need a A-Coil for my Nordyne piece of JUNK. House A/C furnace Unit. Don't want to toss whole thing now but have leak in A-Coil. Only name I have ever known it by. AC coil that sits under the furnace in the inside unit. I think this is a bolt in item and could probally save bucks just to replace it myself. Going to have to be recharged anyway but I can't find the thing anywhere. The coil itself is Model # C30A-O24U-B Serial # C309902-57709 Furnace is a Nordyne Model #M1GC070ABW Serial # M1G990200397 Anybody Know anything about this? Getting hot here!! I've had to cut chasing the Warden in 1/2.
