  1. Thanks for the help Iz, I believe I have the same 'bag slash' pipes as you do. The 4-2-4 look great..not sure if they have baffles in them though but very unique looking pipe
  2. Hey guys and girls I recently replaced my full exhaust sytem on my Royal Star Venture (I picked up a full system on ebay for 189dollars which is amazing) My old muffler pipes were rotting inside so I had to change them. The only prob I have is that the pipes are LOUD! Not harley loud but louder than what I would like. They are original Yamaha pipes but the mufflers are aftermarket Baron Pipes with the clamp(I think) Does anyone know of a way to quieten them down, I don't live in an estate so no neighbours but I'm heading to France and Spain this year and I heard they crack down on loud pipes. They have a baffle but it's not great...I think they sound great but that's another matter altogether... Does anyone here have baron pipes? If so, any suggestions on quitening them down! Thanks
  3. I've just found this set http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-Royal-Star-Venture-1300-EXHAUST-MUFFLER-SYSTEM-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem1e5fe8b061QQitemZ130458103905QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories Anyone know if the 2004 pipes changed in anyway to the 2001 pipes?
  4. Hey everyone, I posted here last week regarding exhaust problems. Basically, due to the lack of Ventures in Ireland, it's proving a headache. The pipes on my 2001 RSV are corroding badly (underneath only, chrome is fine). The mufflers are rotting away from the main pipe and I'm getting barking noises and losing pressure. I wanted to replace the whole exhaust system but Yamaha Europe are quoting me Eur3,500 to replace the full system! I was dealing with WestendMotorsports in the states and they said that the "Bub 4 into 2" system is an option BUT the end tips are currently being redesigned because of blistering. This could take forever and with alot of touring this Summer planned, I need the pipes fixed. Has anyone you know ever replace their full pipes? With the Venture, it doesn't seem that easy. I heard certain Harley pipes fit the Venture? Ebay have two or three exhausts for the RSV but I don't want to be stuck with something that will let me down in three months. Any help would be great. Thanks
  5. I checked this out thanks, I took a look at the video before disassembly and it looks like shes been crashed..okay for 189 I shouldnt complain but the exhaust sounds really 'barky' if you get me...
  6. Okay, I just got a reply back from Westend Motorsports and he said the 4 into 2 Bub system is "That is a complete exhaust system, including headers, mufflers, and any hardware needed for mounting" Can I take from this that if I buy these pipes at $895 that the bike will be road ready? Sorry for the dumbass questions!
  7. Thanks for the help on this..I found this online, anyone know about these? BUB 4-Into-2 Exhaust System for XVZ1300 Royal Star Venture 99 up
  8. Hi all I'm just new to the site and have just posted an introduction. I am from Ireland and I drive a Royal Star Venture 2001 1300TF and LOVE it! There are not many here so parts are hard to come by. I am currently looking for a new full exhaust system, not slip ons. My pipes underneath are corroding and although there is only 35,000km on the clock, I would like to keep the bike alot longer. I was quoted by Yamaha Europe for a brand new set of OEM pipes at 2,800dollars. It's crazy money, can anyone recommend a full exhaust system for my model that they know will definitely fit. I really can't afford $2,800 (€2,000) but I don't want to lose the bike. The bike is running great other than a rattling exhaust..Please help! thanks for the time. Gar
