There appears to be no more country music stations in the toronto plus area of southern ontario. 95.3 just got bought out by the same head banging music supporter that killed the last country music station some 15 years ago. It seems like all you get any more in this area is either head banging crap. so called dance music or asian music. I love country music and I love early rock and roll but nobody seems to want to play it anymore.

I just love my 83. Went from Ottawa to NH with my son and we had a blast. My old girl never once gave me a problem and still is great to ride. Thanks for all the help to get the small bugs out. I found a 85 in North Bay Ontario with more chrome and shine for a fair price so I just had to have her as well. No shortage of parts now. To tell the the truth, I just can't start tearing either one apart. They are a beauty and should be on the road. Yep I love my bike!! Dam snow!! Sorry for the delay in becoming a paying member but its worth way more then what is asked.

Its been 10 years today since my lovely wife said I do. I cant believe shes kept me around this long. Just wanted to toot my own horn . 10 years together and she rides her own bike too. As I said I;m a lucky man. LOve babe David

Tina and I are headed to springville on saturday to look at a motorhome and we were wondering if anyone in the area could recommend a good restaurant where maybe we could have a small meet and eat. I know that there are people in the area that LOVE to eat. (especially ice cream) any takers ? I know I said the magic words so no stampedes please. Thanks Mike

Personally, I prefer the 1st gen ventures because im more into the full dress touring style of the honda, over that of the harley. My next bike probably will be a second-gen venture(i love this motor). But in my opinion, i just like the 1st gens the best.

:farmer:Thanks to this group I determined my left bank exhaut at the Y was cracked and will soon be repaired under warranty. For the last 7K miles I have been smelling exhaust more than normal, but I could not pick up the odor close to the head connections. Put my hand under the Y and low and behold the leak showed its ugly head. Had no other indication, ie noise, etc. Hope others will check as I did. My bike is an 05 liquid silver. Love it, love it. 14k miles and this is only warranty work.

David it was great to talk to you but how come every time I called the house or Minis cell you answered is there something I need to know? Words cannot begin to express how I feel that you went out of your way to fix the electrical problem at the house for me. You know I LOVE YOU like a brother and I would do anything for you.Thank You for going out of your way to help Margaret out of the dark.I owe you BIG TIME and I will repay you whenever the opertunity presents itself. When I get home the first 12 pack is on me while we catch up. I Love you Man see ya when this trip is over take care and give the girls a hug for me. Jeff

Just a little background.... I ran Car tires on my 2005 wing for 30000 miles or more and loved it.... So I had researched before buying the 2009 Venture. Heard a lot of folks on here talking about the Avon and Kumho so I decided I would "like" them on mine.....Not a chance.....Not only do I " like" this tire combo...I "Love" them. The ride is drastically greater. The handling is superb compared to the previous with the Bridgestone Bias tires. If you are on the fence about this .....Jump on board....JMHO

I picked up this old custom built truck to haul firewood for the camp,haul weed eaters,chainsaws, and make diesel fuel runs for the tractor. Actually I drive it most of the time making the 1 mile trip down to the camp for the weekend. It has a 3/4 ton frame with an added dually kit. A steel flat bed with an 87 1/2 ton cab. 350 V8 with a 4 speed manual transmission and I love that granny gear for working. My question is on the 87 cab what is the color code on the temp gage wire coming through the firewall harness. I need to hook it up to the block sending unit.

Horrible Gravel ............................... Squirrely Hard packed with gravel........ very good to a point where I love placing the rear end 90 degree to the front around corners Im having this scoot

I ordered my Kumho today and was wondering does anyone on the Darkside have the smaller front tire on with the C/T? I love the way the smaller tire feels on the Venture and wondered if it will be trouble on the Darkside.

While we were on holidays this week our daughter was going to stay with one of our best friends. We just recieved this email. At Andy's right now, turns out we(I) couldn't've picked a worse time to visit. They're suffering something(understatement) of a family crisis. At something like 6:00-30 some drunk driver crossed the center line and killed three family members- I don't know all the names, but it sounds like an Aunt Rita, a grandmother, and an uncle. Two were killed on impact and the uncle died in hospital. I didn't think I should call at midnight, and I don't think I could've stung the words together anyways. My wife and I are planning a ride to do some 14,000 foot mountains in Colorado this summer but I do not want to have my Venture give out on me nor overheat doing so. We love the bike and have riden the Blue Ridge Parkway without problem but, of course, they are not nearly as high as some of the roads in Colorado. We should live to never regret the experiences we have not had. -
I am going to be on vacation at St. Simons Island, Georgia during the first two week in July. It is just off the coast from Brunswick. I haven't ridden a 2nd GEN Venture. I'd love to rent one for a day or two. What are my options to rent? Iowa Guy

Have an 09 Tour Deluxe and have a rattle noise coming from the clutch. Kind of sounds like the noise you would hear from the engine from using low octane gas. Asked the dealer about and their answer was that it is common with these bikes. Said something about the plates in the clutch blah blah blah he started talking over my limited mechancial abilities. Was wondering if any one else has this noise and if they did what they did to get it fixed. Love the bike but would love to quite down the noise. Attached is a tech notice about 07 models about the primary driven gear damper changed on 08's from a rubber cushion to a spring type to reduce and I would assume they stayed on that course for the 09's or should I? Any suggestions?

Stuck Valve on 2007 Royal Star Venture

My bike has been at dealer shop now for 5 weeks. They say I have stuck valve and should be using ring free or techron with my gas and use premium gas only. They have agreed to fix under warranty. After all, they are the only one that has serviced my bike and never mentioned this when I drove it off the showroom floor. I love my bike but don't want this to happen in future. I don't see where I have done anything wrong but I have not been putting additives in gas between fill ups. Has any one else had this issue? -

OK...I jsut got off the phone with my father. He was in Erie, PA and saw in a parking lot a Steeler themed Gen 1. unfortuantately he didn't get any pictures but the description sounds like a real cool job (cusom paint and custom seat with Steeler Emblem). I was wondering if the bike belongs to anyone here? I'd love to see some pics of the bike. It does combine 2 of my top 5 favortie things you know. bob
