The NARR group had it's October meeting tonight and we have over 1000.00 pledged for next years St Judes event! No competition next year but I would like to see these two groups get together and present at the same time again. We had so many members who made their first visit to the hospital and were deeply moved by the experience. We had the drawing for the handmade quilt that we raffled off as part of our fundraising effort and a lady whos adult daughter is fighting cancer was the winner.

Ok - there'll not be too much of an estate to fight over, we just spent it on our vacation of a lifetime. Linda, myself, Linda's brother Larry and his wife Shari and friends Joe and Carol took a 14 day vacation in Spain, Italy and Croatia. Finally paid the $12 and here I am looking for advice on a dream that I had when I purchased my 83 Venture oh so many years ago. I am planning on doing Route 66 this spring and am in the process of getting the Venture in tip top shape, new Wheel bearings, hoses, filters, carb cleaning and the like. Has anyone done Route 66 and can offer any advice? With 40K miles on the Venture I am confident that she will make the trip. I guess I'm looking for some real life experience from any other long distance touring riders. way back when BC (before Children) my wife and I did the New York to Florida trip and a couple of NY to North Carolina trips, so we have some touring experience. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have a spare rear wheel off another RSV and I want to strip the clear coat and polish the rim edge leaving the black spokes. Does anyone have experience at this. If it works out well I will do the front the same.

I have a 2005 Honda St1300. I have put 12k miles on her and she is a great bike but not as comfy on longer trips as my wife and I wish. We are thinking about switching to the Venture for long trip comfort. So I am looking for your experience and advice. Has anyone made this or similar switch? What is the comfortable top freeway speed? Wind buffeting?

OK, the 29 Year old, Honda CX -500 sitting in my garage, started leaking fuel from the tank last night. Seeping fuel at the lower edge of the tank. Anyway, don't want to put a lot of money into this thing, for a new tank. I see on the web, there a re several products on the market for makeing fuel tank repairs. Anybody here have any experience with any of the fuel tank leak repair products ?? IF so I'm all " Ears " as they say. Any reccomendations, or horror stories ?? Thanks for any tips

So, I am experimenting with FileMaker Pro 11 and Filemaker Server 11 as I may be building a Web database app and FileMaker seems pretty slick in this department. After only 2 days of experimenting tho, I am bumping into a few limitations. Anyone out there have any experience with FileMaker and what's your take on this program? Myself, I've been developing professionally for 20 years in a variety of environments with Visual Basic, VBA, MS Access, and MySQL being what I've been using for the past several years. Unfortunately, I have very little Web development experience and that is one of the reason's I'm looking at FileMaker. Maybe someone has another suggestion?

There have been lots of discussions on the best oil to use, and every one has an opinion, but very few has said why they think their choice is better than anothers. Just what do you look for in your oil? Is your choice based on independent research reports, personal experience, smoother shifting, price or (like me) just what my daddy used? With so many opinions on oil brands, surely there are good reasons for making those choices.

Just wondering if anyone has put a big bore kit in their venture. I have a 2003. Is there a kit for the Ventures? If you have put one in, what has the pre and post install experience been in comparison? Thoughts on should it or shouldn't it be done. Thanks.

After I installed leveling links it seem that my Venture has become very sensitive to the wind. Anybody experience this?

Well boys, I had a short run on the dark side...about 2500 miles total. I had the Kuhmo on the rear and enjoyed 95% of the experience. The traction was superb, the rear wheel braking was awesome, i didnt notice any difference in the twisties...BUT, where i had the bad experiences were on freeways. Out here in Cali, we have some pretty deep "rain grooves" that at higher speeds could cause a bit of an unpredictable experience. There were somedays i could be travelling at 80 to 85 with no issues then others I would go into a wobble. I checked and maintained the tire pressure often as well as the air pressure of the rear shock so i am certain there were no "outside" influences on my experience. Bottom line is, It just isnt stable enough for my personal riding style. With that said...I have a Kuhmo 165/80/15 with abt 2500 miles on it that is up for grabs...just pay shipping and its yours!

Getting ready to purchase a Premeux Fairing. Looks like a good product but I have never seen one up close. If anyone has had experience with one, let me know what you think. They have the detach set-up like stock.
