No mention of an amount? might be scam, but might not. As far as rescue shelters, before getting a dog from one, research it.. There is money involved and there have been many cases of rescue shelters doing such a good job of placing dogs that they run out and import more homeless dogs from other countries to keep their cash flow, instead of working with other shelters and splitting the cash. Personally I cannot believe it is not illegal to import dogs to rescue shelters.

They are a species sea bird. More than a dozen sub species, tons of them in Florida. Mostly the smaller ones here in Northern Florida.

I have been asked where to get lowers for a 96 Royal Star, seeing as they did not come with them. Anyone know of a set of lowers made for the early RS.

I added a chrome ignition cover and then added a Clearview windscreen.. Had to switch back to the stock black because the angle of the Clearview reflected the chrome cover right into the middle of my viewing area in the windshield. Also lots of people have added tachs, but the bottom line is the engine can safely rev over 7000 rpm, and the stock rev limiter is around 6300, so you can't hurt the engine by reving it, you can't even reach the bike's peak HP which is about 6700 rpms. About the only thing a tach will tell you is you are shifting too soon.

Wow, all the great links and resources that have been mentioned here over years seem to be in this one thread, maybe it should be stickyed as a resource thread. -

OK, I really hate watching all these news videos, I can read faster than news casters talk, and I can skip all the parts that are just hype. Is there a text version I can read of what this is all about? -

bias v/s radial
hig4s replied to warriorhoneybee's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Avon does make a 160/60R-15 scooter tire, that would probably fit, but the load rating is a bit low. -

I added the tail light from Custom Dynamics and the quad light license plate frame, with the LEDs on the top and bottom brake/tail and the ones on the sides extra turn signals. -

You mean Avon doesn't list a radial in the Royal Star size? -

I was sitting here thinking, aren't the back rims smaller than the front, but I hadn't gotten around to checking yet. -

I have not flushed and changed in my 07 RSV yet, but when I do I will switch to Propylene Glycol. It is much less toxic, and runs cooler. I used it in all my water cooled MX bikes. If money is not a big consideration, get Engine Ice, premixed Propylene Glycol and de-ionized water 50/50.. Other wise get Prestone Lo-Tox and mix 50/50 with distilled water.

I have never drank coffee, and over the last two years have given up all carbonated beverages, so I drink a lot of tea, mostly Iced tea.. I use a french press to make Ice tea by the picture and use all decaffeinated teas.. I usually use two or three bags Luzianne, two bags Celestial flavored tea, and one of the Lipton pyramid bag teas.. My favorite is with Celestial Blueberry, and Lipton Blueberry/Pomegranate. I heat the water in my tea pot, (it fills the french press about a time and a half) let it steep for about 5 minutes and poor into a picture half filled with ice and then add about 8 to 10oz of sugar water. Mary makes sugar water and keeps jugs of it in the fridge just so we canmake sweet tea with it.

At the moment I have an 07 RSV and an 09 Sportster 883. If I ever replace the RSV it would be a hard choice, between the HD Ultra, the Victory Cross Country, and the new BMW GTL. If I replace the Sportster, it would probably be with a Dyna Fat Bob or a Soft-tail Cross-Bones. But I a BMW GS or a Yamaha Super Tenere are interesting possibilities.

If I lend my bike to my son, who has a cycle endorsement, do I have to worry about any legal issues if he decides to take a passenger? I know my motorcycle insurance will cover lending the bike to someone legal to ride, as long as it is not more than a certain number of times a year to the same person, after that they need to be added to the policy. But is there any other things I need to be aware of?

I am 5'9" and cannot not see over my XXL clearview, but not really a problem, it is more sloped and allows rain to run off much better than stock, and I keep it cleaned with Pledge so water beads and flow off once I get moving. On rare occasions I need to lean to the side and look around it, but not often enough to bother me.
