  1. the Withdrawal of my Membership at Venturerider.org !! !! NOT !! You won't get rid of me that easy !!! :whistling: But i'd like annouce the newest Addition to my Stable .... a brand new 2009 VMAX. http://wkhost.webkicks.de/squeeze/Docs/09/Foto292%28Medium%29.jpg http://wkhost.webkicks.de/squeeze/Docs/09/Foto294%28Medium%29.jpg http://wkhost.webkicks.de/squeeze/Docs/09/Foto295%28Medium%29.jpg http://wkhost.webkicks.de/squeeze/Docs/09/Foto296%28Medium%29.jpg http://wkhost.webkicks.de/squeeze/Docs/09/Foto297%28Medium%29.jpg http://wkhost.webkicks.de/squeeze/Docs/09/Foto298%28Medium%29.jpg http://wkhost.webkicks.de/squeeze/Docs/09/Foto299%28Medium%29.jpg It was last Tuesday. My Wife gave me a ride over to the Dealer where i've ordered the Bike on 07/18/2008. My Wife dropped me at the Dealer and they have had everything preped as it was spoken over the Phone. My Payment went over the Bank the Friday before, so all we had to do was inspecting the Bike, get first Information's from the Sales Guy and off i go. My Wife left a bit earlier, because she had another Appointment at the Office. I said; i'll be there in two Hours or so ... When i took of the first Time, it was a strange Feeling. The Bike is fairly high, but the Pull this Motor produces is noticeable even at off Idle. When i had accustomed my self to the Seating Position, i was out of Town and riding over some wide and not too cornery Back Roads. The Asphalt was cold, it was only 4 Degrees Celsius that Day and with new Tires and cold Roads, you gotta take it easy. I was only revving up to 3 or 3.5 k because i don't want to ruin my Ride on the first Encounter. I stopped in front of the old Church to take the Pics and have a Smoke and grin onto my new Bike. After i took off, i was more encouraged and getting more on the Motor. I revved up to 4.5 k and some more but only with slightly opened Throttle. This Motor is awesome. I'm sure it will pull my Arms out soon. I arrived at the Office were my Bikes are sitting after 1.5 Hours and 35 mls ridden. My Wife said i was grinning all the Way from left to right Ear. I think she's right, i have some Problems with the Muscles in my Face since. The Bike will sit another 4 to 6 Weeks until the Weather clears up and i'm able to give it the Treatment it's ought to. Please refrain from Comments about how ugly this Bike looks. I know, and i don't like some Aspects like the Head Light and the Signals myself. I didn't buy it because of the Look, this will change anyway. I bought it for the Motor, the Frame, the Suspension, the Brakes. Everything else will be changed anyway sooner or later.
  2. But too lean will make big Holes in small Pistons.
  3. This can be outgunned by Spiders. This far best Solution so far seems to create a small Pic and post it
  4. Now, what did you expect ?? Making up a Challenge for other Persons ?? :stickpoke: Why don't you offer a Challenge to the Winner of your suggested Contest ? Now, that yould be fair. I don't know if i would be generally up to the Job, but Heineken ?? That's is a Challenge on its own for me. If there would be a Bitburger or a Andechser dark Beer on the Table, that'd be ok for me, but Heineken ? Jonas, i'm working on 2010. Let's hope you and your Country will come through that Mess in a good Way.
  5. Besides that Menu Field, most of the Keybaords have some Keys which allow to hit Top or Bottom by hitting that respective Key. Works fine.
  6. Earl, the Needles are sitting in the bottom of the Carb Sliders, behind a fairly big plastic Bolt. Be carefull, there will a Spring, a Piece of Plastic and a Washer come out with the Needle. If you want to lower the Needles, you have to undo these and move the Circlip one Notch UP when holding the Needle at the Tip. IF there are more than one Notch, that is. Not all Needles have adjusting Slots.
  7. Yes, they're all the same from 1983 till 1989. Those Bikes from 1990 to 1993 are single Pickup and different to the two Coil Setup of the earlier Models.
  8. Nope, i'm just adapting to your lower Level !!! :rotf:
  9. If i'd live in Fear of any Person, Women or Men, i'd actually start to believe icelandic Beer is better than most of german Beers also ... :bluesbrother: Sorry about my "political Statement". If one would see it that Way. I'm willing to try to do better. Glad to hear that the Things are on the better Side you so far. Keep up that good Work and stay on that Path.
  10. Jonas, do you live in Fear until MD ?? :rotf::rotf: Maybe that's why i wrote my Comment ...... btw, where have you been the last Days, too busy protesting at the Althing ?? :scratchchin:
  11. Now, what did you expect us Men to do ?? Sitting back and keep the Feet still while seeing some fellow Members sent to Doghouses and constantly stirring Provocation against us male Members ? Don't expect us to do so. We as Men surely didn't get this Gender Thing started, but we can retaliate with full Force if necessary ... Besides that, it didn't mention or relate any VR Women to that Video Clip, nor did any other Member, at least as far i read the Comments above. This was the same in the last Gender related Threads. Once a Women smells something "against the female Gender", there's where the Fun starts, for 5 or 6 Postings, but then this Thing goes South fast. I admit, i had some Fun on other Members Expense also. But it's getting old seeing and starting a Fight in every Thread which may have a such a Subtone. That's why i say stick with the Threads which are already to fly and don't turn every Thread into crying "Revenge" and "sent to the Doghause" ...
  12. Steering Wheel tat is .... watch that small Video Compilation. My personal Favorite is around 2 Minutes http://www.chilloutzone.de/files/09012401.html
  13. Any 12 Volt Source is good for jump starting the Bike. But if your Battery is "DEAD", you might not be able to keep the Bike running. Because the Battery acts not only as a Source of Energy but also as a Buffer for the Voltage and Current which is delivered by the Generator. If the R/R doesn't sense less Voltage any Voltage at all, i may shut down all Energy produced. The Voltage in your System will go down and the TCI might no be able to function under this Conditions. To avoid this, you could keep the jumper Battery 5 Minutes connected to the Bike and by this, provide proper Voltage and keep the R/R open. Running the Bike on elevated Idle (1800 top 2000 RpM) will help to charge the Battery during that Time.
  14. I see a bad Moon rising ?? :crackup::crackup:
  15. Sure Lynn, i just wanted to clarify that Dimensions for 1Gens and for 2Gens.
  16. at least 3 headed, at least !!!!
  17. I don't think you will hear any early buzz ... Yammi admitted the Existance of the new VMax on June, 4th 2008 on their Website and immediately started their "special Order" Program. Yes there were Rumours on the Net before that Date, but these were just that, Rumours. And a Lot of them Rumours proved wrong or only half of the Truth. Everything they showed before the offical Release was just Study or "Artwork". Regarding their future Plans ... i don't think the downfall of the Economy will affect their Schedule. The Base is already there, R&D Costs shall be little in regard of what they put into the the VMAX(10 Years of Development). The new Base is created, they WILL make the most out of it. Besides that, they will have to pull the Trigger, because i seriously doubt that they can sell a 2010 Model RSV unchanged, regarding the more rigid EPA Regulations. They will drop the 2010 Model and bring on the 2011 based on the '09 Max. I bet 5 Bucks on that. That's because i don't think they're willing to give up the upper End of the Long Distance Tourers. A big V2 Motor just wouldn't cut it. And while Honda is creating a new Wing, the Cards can change. I'm in no Doubt that Honda is willing and capable of presenting an outstanding new Wing, but not all Tourers like and prefer the Wing.
  18. Those R1 Rotor are 298mm in Diameter. They won't fit on 1 Gen MKII, which has the smaller 282 mm Diameter. And they are solid Rotors.
  19. Two Hours ago, i came back from a Ride from a Ride on a '09 VMAX. Even tough this Beast is brand new and i didn't go over 4.5 k, I can tell you, this '09 Engine in a Venture won't disappoint anybody. I can't get the broad Grin off my Face. And i had a small Ride for 50 km's, which was a big help against PMS anyway.
  20. clean the Carbs completely
  21. Git to www.wunderground.com Choose Town to display and Ticker Face you like to display, click on the Button. There will show up html Code which you copy and insert into your Sig and whalla ....
  22. and to me too !!! :happy34:
  23. Aint gonna happen. There is a Actuator/preloaded Spring Mechanism on the Output Shaft which prevents locking up the the Drivetrain if either the Wheel or the Motor locks up. I never will forget the Sound of the Actuator Cam disengaging, but it works fine.
  24. Sorry, it seems i misunderstood your first Posting. Seen from the mechanically Point of View it's still a bad Habit and a Waste of Fuel. You're right, blipping the Throttle helps evening out Differences between Road Speed and RpM of the Motor. I agree, the Clutch has to take more Burden of those Differences without keeping the Motor on a higher Revelation. But these Clutches are designed to do so and the the additional Wear on the Clutch Parts involved may be ... 2 or 4 Percent ? This is mostly because our Motors don't have a big Displacement and therefore they don't bring up as much Engine Braking Force as a i.e. bigger V2 Motor. The bigger Consumption does outweight an earlier Replacement of the Clutch by far. The smoother Operation is a valid Point.
  25. George, my Automobile Career started up with Opel's, a Lot of them and i can tell you those Engines were Bullet proof, just like our V4's. I ran the Heck out of them and much more but never got one ruined. 4 or 6 Cylinders didn't matter. The only Motor i lost was an used 1.9 Liter, 90 hp in my first '69 Opel GT(poor Man's Corvette). I replaced the original Motor due to frozen Water Damage and this Engine from the Garbage lasted only 3 Months. I put another one from The Garbage in and sold the Car 30,000 mls later, still going very strong.
