I would like to make a proposition if I may? I would hate to see this posting die and all the hard work that sgn and dingy have done to date. May I suggest that the donation be set at a minimum of $10.00 for the cause if that is acceptable to sgn and dingy. With that said let me be the first to order a copy of the second gen latest version of the wiring diagram. sgn if you would let us know how and where to send the donation that would be great. Maybe put that info in the original post???? Thanks to both of you for doing this for the membership of Venturriders. Bubber aka Steve I will send my address via PM

I agree, not hard to build but cost of 1" sq tube is a killer. It could easily be fab'ed up but how many would need or want one. Back in the day, I took a Harley bent up frame and cut off all the tubes except for around the mounts and added legs. This held the engine up and steady to be able to work on it on the bench. Turning it over like on a car engine stand was a whole different animal. I would be willing to try it with some guidance and financial backing. I am only familiar with the 2nd Gen so I have no need for the stand. Bubber

WE won't get to ride for 6 more months....... what was the problem again????? Weather has just sucked for all of October only 3 days above average, all others were significantly below average. I rode the bike once all month and it ain't looking much better in the near future. LOL You will just have to ride for all of us for awhile. Bubber

"Ozlander, One of my friends works at City Blueprint." Did you ever get a chance to check with your friend? Could or should this be done on a plotter? I would like a copy but not at $30.00 ? Steve

Well I learned about a whole bunch of stuff today. Now I can tell my wife I am not the "know-it-all" she said I am cause I am still learning stuff. Will wonders never cease? Thanks Condor. It is all your fault too! Now I could be more dangerous that she said I am! Steve

Actually I use that when I try to find a subject that may have been discussed earlier. Heck I may be the only one........ LOL I also use the feature that finds posts that I have replied to and I have found stuff that I knew I responded to but couldn't remember the details about the post.

So from what I gleamed from the threads is that motorcycles should use the AGM type battery, is that correct? And you need the correct battery charger that matches the type of battery you have? Steve Copied from battery site: Determine what type of battery or batteries you will be charging. Maintenance Free, Wet Cell (flooded), AGM (absorbed glass mat), Gel Cell or VRLA (valve regulated lead acid). In most cases one charger will work for all types except for Gel Cell. However, some of our Gel Cell chargers will work well with the other battery types.
-
I have a question or multiple questions maybe. I keep getting the impression that there are different styles of battery's Gel..... I assume that they have a gelatin type liquid in them Lead acid.... typical automotive lead with acid configuration. AGM ....???????? Are there others??????? Does someone have a good handle on these to give a much better explanation than what I just did? Thanks much! Steve

Question ! Can this be sent out electronically when it is done, and we can have it printed locally at Kinko's, Office Max or where ever? Does that work for people? Then they can pay the going rate locally. Saves on postage. Everyone can still make the donation per the original post. Just a thought NOTE: Out of curiosity I called Office Max and Office Depot and they were about 30 buck 2' X 3' color. I find it hard to believe that it is that expensive to print a sheet that size for $30.00
-
Your idea is a great one. Could you give us an idea what Kinko's was going to charge? It will give all of us that want one an idea what is fair and reasonable to donate. I for one have no idea what it should, could, aught to be worth. It will give us a fair staring point. PS: And BTW I would like one also
