    Beautiful pics. I love the area. The smokies and the Ozarks look so similar, we are all fortunate to live in or close to these places. I feel for those who live in cities or in the flat lands!

    I know I need to get in the 21st century, but still carry my PPK as an off-duty. I have been looking at the Ruger LCP. A little smaller than my PPK, but seems a bit beeter made that the KelTec.

    I've never trailered until a trip to CO this year. A buddy and our wives went and there is just no way my wifes back could ride 850 miles one way and then do 1200 miles in CO. I wanted her to go...the end. If it is just me, I'll ride everytime, but the co-pilot just can't do 2,000-3,000 in a week! Some day I plan on taking a 7,000-8,000 mile trip from MO to all the National Parks in the west and Canada. I'll do the whole trip and fly her to Seattle, have her ride the Pacific coast highway to San Fran and fly her home. Come on retirement!

    Another vote for RAM mount. I use my GPS on the bike and in the truck. The ram is FAR more stable that the mount for the truck. Very Secure.

    Man that's tough. I work at the managment level and know the difficulties of the current economic situation. However, doing the right thing is still the way to do it. You'll get a great reference and you'll leave the better for it. Besides, God knows what you've done!

    plus 1 Co-pilot couldn't ride with the stock shield. The buffeting would give her a headache, no complaints now.

    I've been running E3s, mainly because I had E2s on my wing. I got caught in a toad-strangler in Hot Springs last year, with probably 3-4 inches of water on the road. While that was in town and going relatively slow (30 MPH), I had a jerk pull out in front of me in that deep water and I had to do an emergency stop, pulling my trailer. The braking was terrific, albeit a straight line stop. Could hardly tell it was in water. FYI

    I had a 76, but it was a different color, so I'll go with 77. By the time I sold mine you could hardly see the speedo due to the plastic color turning milky white. Back then I had no garage.

    Last year we went to the Smokies and we actually stayed a little longer than expects, so we did about 705 I believe. My rear was fine really, but I ride to relax. If your working that hard at it...it aint relaxin'!

    I don't even want a new one, but I sure would like for them to get on with it. I will want a new one in another couple of years and I want the first year or two out of the way.

    Mine are on all the time too. I've replaced with Halogen and really don't need the high beam.
