  1. He has the model number in his post. You must be blind too :rotf:
  2. It is 12 noon according to his earlier posts. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?p=310771#poststop
  3. I have used both Avon and E3, currently E3 (just to see the difference between Avon and E3, so far no difference and happy with both), and neither tires had indications of rubbing.
  4. I did have the same issue with the guys at work that rode HDs, until I actually got them to come out and take a look. They didn't realize Yamaha made a bike that was looked and loaded with goodies.
  5. I agree with setting up an award. Maybe just a little selfish on my part, but Mechanic and I are in Huntsville/Athens area a lot on the bike and I do not need this SOB trying to kill Mechanic. So maybe, Freebird, we can use the donate button and put in Eck's Reward and this way no one has to setup a special account. Money then could be transferred to Huntsville. Just a thought.
  6. I am a Yankee, but I will be coming in gray:cool10:
  7. That's why they are always parked in front of the local bars, can't go to far on a tank of gas.
  8. She hasn't even made it to Augusta yet, and we have been on the phone at least twice and will be shortly when I am on my way to work. No eating out for me, my cherry pie awaits my teeth.
  9. That bike is still under warranty and you should have it transferred to you immediately.
  10. Well, for the bad or good news, depends on your perspective. MECHANIC left me :crying: Since she has left me, she is now available No more apple, blueberry, cherry or coconut cream pies for me. ONLY FOR the WEEKEND:rasberry::rasberry:
  11. I currently have AllState, did start with Progressive, but progressively went down in price until AllState. Progressive is the most expensive insurance I have found for SC, with AllState being one of the lowest. Hopefully never have to use the insurance.
  12. You ride your own ride, plain and simple.
  13. You didn't see anything you haven't seen before, right
  14. Paul Mechanic and I, and maybe Sledgehammer, we are staying at the SleepInn in Gettysburg Friday evening. We will be touring the Battlefield Friday afternoon, just not sure what time we will be there as we are leaving early from Sledgehammer's place that morning and taking the back roads to PA. Hope to see you and your wife that evening.
  15. There is no 5 year warranty on the Strat
  16. The only time you want to be accelerating in 5 is like never There are several threads here about keeping these bikes wound up, with 5th only being an overdrive gear. You can do 80 in 3rd no problem, about 110 in fourth, after that the rev limiter kicks in around 115. Wife has a pic of that someplace as we were just tooling down the road with Muffinman.
  17. Take it back and tell them too put a new fuel pump in. That is what the warranty is for.
  18. Here are the part numbers from Yamaha Replacement Rubber (Left) STR-4WM27-11-21 $28.95 Replacement Rubber (Right) STR-4WM27-11-22 $28.95
  19. I ran Avon on the 05 and I am now trying the E3 on the 08. I have no problems so far with the E3. Between these two, I feel nor see any difference in wear or tear or riding in the rain. I am running the standard size tires for the E3. I have run the smaller front with the Avons and have no issues including the wind buffeting some experience with the smaller front tire. What I am waiting to see is the mileage I will get on the rear E3, if it exceeds the 14000 miles I got on the Avon rear tire, then most likely will stay with the E3. Currently have 12,000 miles on the rear, and the tread looks good for another 8,000 miles, but will have to wait and see.
  20. Yeah right she made you do it. :rasberry:
  21. You know the rules, where are PICS :whistling:
  22. Again, bike week will be held in the MB area, but not in the city limits. New Bern was the HD association going there, not the ones that actually sponsor the event. The local HD shops are still sponsoring Bike week outside of MB.
  23. Yeah I can see where that mod will not work if the bike is not triked out. I been looking and waiting for someone to come up with something for our long legged women. This mod would hit the back of the my calf sometimes, even her foot gets me now and then. Somehow the mod must be done to the original floorboards allowing them to drop down and/or slide forward, sort of like the pegs mounted to the Goldwing bar that allow the pegs to be moved forward or backwards.
  24. This is why we are coming up Friday, staying at the SleepInn motel in Gettysburg. Mechanic and I going to the battle field and take few pics
