Thanks for all the good information guys, this really helped. Hopefully the new tire gets of the wobble I seemed to developed.

I'm looking at replaceing my front tire with an E'3. I'm running an Avon on the back now, will this cause any problems? Also, where do you guys buy your tires? Thanks for help.

I installed their HID light, worked on and off for two weeks before I took it out. Some times it would light, some times it didn't. Some have had good luck with them, this is just my opinion.

Happy Birthday Larry! I hope you have a great year ahead my friend.

I would like to ditto the above post. I just got back from a 2700 mile trip, with 840 miles the last day to get home. Never a comfort issue the whole time, well maybe a little on the last day, but that's a long time in any saddle. Thanks Rick for working me in before my trip. Best mod ever!!

Yes Larry it is, I wish you and Joyce were the other Venture parked next to mine.

Who's parked out front of the Microtel in Robbinsville NC?

Buddy you are right, I followed some wires back to a part that was connected to the old HID light. That must have been the controler you were talking about. Untaped it, and there was the 3 prong plug I was looking for. Thanks everyone for your help, I'm the kind of guy that knows just enough to get into trouble when doing this stuff myself. I just got ten times my money's worth in membership dues. Thanks Again!!

The HID light from HID Country has the light bulb attached to the plug that plugs into the light housing. It has 3 other wires attached to it. I don't undderstand why the 3 prong plug it not there anywhere.

I didn't cut any wires, I just unpluged the old light and pluged the HID light in. The HID light came with it's own plug to that pluged into the light housing.

I'm leaving for a trip Sat. morning and I don't trust my HID light any more, so I'm puting the old Silverstar back in. Well, I took the HID lightbulb out, and I can't find the power cord for the headlight to reinstall the Silverstar. I thought I just left hanging when I put the HID in. I know this sounds crazy, but I can't see it anywhere. Where would the cord be coming from? I will be greatful for any help? Thanks

HID lighting problems
BigD replied to fw2000's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I bought my HID light from HID Country a few months ago. Switching back to my Silverstar today. Got stuck again with the light not starting last night, my buddy rode beside me so I could get home. So far, not much help from Jason at HID Country. I love the light, I just can't trust it. -
Thanks for all the help on this problem. I will start working on all these suggestions this weekend. I love the light, I would hate to go back. Thanks again, BigD

I installed my new HID headlight setup from HID Country a few weeks ago. From the start I'm having a problem with the light not always lighting. I turn the key off, and turn the key back on and it's fine most the time. I got caught a few times with no headlight on during the day. Has any one else had this problem? I talked with Jason from HID Country, but he has not responded yet. Thanks for any help.

Thanks Goose, this was something I was going to ask someone about this year. Please add me to your list, I want to learn how to do this.

I use the Road Toads also, never a problem.

I see a lot of people talking about this up-grade. What improvements dose it make, and how dose it change the stock seat? Thanks
