  1. military .com also has a pretty good units section. I found alot of my old shipmates there.
  2. USS Portland LSD37, best darn pickup truck in the gator fleet! At lest it was the best. Now it is at the bottom of the Atlantic. Very sad.
  3. I'm doing the same thing with one of my ships. I started a facebook group page and have found over 55 shipmates so far. we are going to keep it simple, I hope. just setting up a place to meet for dinner then play it by ear. we are doing ours at our home port in VA Beach.
  4. ?
  5. for a couple of years, while on our way to town, we would see a wood chuck on a noll on state park land, that would stand there for hours watching the vehicles go by. I swear sometimes it looked like he was doing the Cady Shack dance.
  6. Hey Don, does your's pull a tad to the right when riding on secondary roads?

    Keys

I have two 99's and both use two keys. one for ignition, one for the bags and helmet locks. Both have stock ignition switches. Maybe the ignitons were changed out on both, but I don't think so.

    Keys

Dealer told me the early models used two keys, but they can cut a single key to do everything.

Whats this one key fits all stuff? both my "99"s use two keys, one ignition, one for the gas and bags.
  10. If you install the ez steer on the voyager you better not plan on removing the trike kit and ride 2 wheels. It will not handle worth a darn.
  11. One thing I forgot to mention, The voyager trike kit now handles all most as good as my Motortrike venture. All trike builders will tell you the samething about the voyager kits. After all they want to convert your bike to a trike.
  12. I had the voyager kit on my RSV.It takes a while to get the setup right.First thing is to make sure it is centered. Then you have to play with the pre-load. I found that if you increase the pre-load to 3/4 inch, it works really well on our bikes. This is very important,MAKE SURE THERE IS ON AIR PRESSURE IN THE REAR SHOCK when setting the pre-load. after setting the pre-load pump up the shock as desired. My bike handled much better when set up this way. another thing is the trike tire pressure,I set mine to around 15psi. You can play with this to improve the ride and handling. as for the loose nuts, use locktite.
  13. Brake pads and rotors probably not covered.
  14. SMART MAN!
  15. pinwall has discs,$39.95 plus ship. puts you about $53.00. No charge for my caliper.
  16. I think I have a rear caliper, but no disc. It's off a 99 rsv. I can't do anything till monday. I'm going out of town. Let me know what you want to do.
  17. How did I miss that? The "99" venture trike I just purchased was noisy,Did a carb synch front 2 cyl.were way off from the back 2. After the synch everything is much quitier. and smoother. Love my carb tune.
  18. 460LBS total here. Went from a Vulcan 900 to the Venture. Wife loves it. Or you could get a better seat.
  19. Oh yea,you don't need loctite. Just snugg down the screws and all will be good in the world.
  20. It's very possible that it was not installed properly when the dealer did the initial set up. Several folks here found that out upon there first time spliting the fairing. Including myself. Mine was held on with two screws, all the rest were underneath the windshild not through the windshield. Everyone should check there's if you've never split your fairing before.
  21. Some noise when idling is probably normal. Both of my "99" have some clutch noise until I pull in the clutch handle. My lt900 kawasaki also made a little raddle noise . but then it was a Kawasaki.:crackup:Maybe Goose or Freebird will add to this, they Know this bikes inside and out. Heck, everything I know about my bikes i picked up here. Great bunch of people here.
  22. There's a clock on these things? I never check for the clock. Just the trip settings.
  23. From one M/T rider to another, OUTSTANDING!!! Now go ride!
  24. does the noise go away when you pull in the clutch?
