  1. Big Tom, you know Robin. Do you really think I could ever get away with turning off the intercom? She would just use hand signing......and you know what her favorite sign is.
  2. I just turn off the intercom.
  3. wish we could. don't have the time off for this one.
  4. Any word on how tbbrider is doing?
  5. to much plastic on the Kaw. It is a nice looking bike. I spent a lot of time looking at it before I bought my venture. The first year they came out, I think 09, they had a heat problem. This was fixed on the 10. A lot of people had problems with them stalling out when down shifting to second gear. don't know if that was fixed. I would go with the cross country full tour if I had the $$.
  6. Maybe the problem is the slave cylinder. What Yamaha calls the push lever. The bike has been sitting for 2 years.maybe the cylinder is full of crud and is holding the clutch in the disengaged possition. The same way a brake cylinder can hang up because of old fluid and poor maintenence. after all most everyone here agree's that it seems strange that the clutch would be burned up with only 5000 miles on it. I have a trike and I had 33000 miles on it when I had to change out the clutch. Mine also did a lot of sitting over the past couple years. The clutch felt like it had molassas in it. Had to change all the fluids. Just a thought.

  12. WAAAAYYY upstate.
  13. Tom, Robin is already working on the Registration. She is using the Cody registration as a templet. She will put together a sample for everyone to look over at our first meeting. Give us a couple weeks heads up on any committee meetings so we can work our schedules around it.
  14. It ain't done right if u don't have something left over.
  15. We got us a rally!
  16. Hey Tom, is there anyone on your list that actually volunteered? Or have we all been shanghi'ed?
  17. And waste good wine!!
  18. One idea that we are thinking about, would be a winery tour in the fingerlakes. We would set it up with a limo tour company. The only issue with this idea, is alcohol. Trust me when I say, after a couple of stops for wine tasting most everyone will be feeling no pain. Not good when you have a 100 plus mile ride back to camp. Will have to look into this a little more.
  19. Tom I'm with you on the Pioneer site. I think that would be a great ralling point. Be great for those on a budget. The only problem I can see, it would be during the week. How would Terry be with that. Definetly would need port o pots and showers. Also a nude beach. OK maybe not.
  20. OK, NYjerry,pb&j,Bull Lets go, we need help...boy do we need help. A ride in the fingerlakes would be cool.
  21. Ok,I just looked up the registration info for the last International. It's not much different then our rally, just bigger. Do you think Pioneer can handle this? I got to go out for a while will check in on this later.
  22. Tom, I pm'd my reply. Lets do this thing:starz:
  23. Tom, sounds to me like its about the same as putting together a mini rally. You know the thing you do every year in Chaffee. If Pioneer had more room and more facilities, I would say combine the two for next year. Thats why I aked if anyone had and stats on how many people and bikes where at Cody. We need to get an idea of how big this thing is.
  24. I picked up my new to me 99 RSV trike couple months back. The guy I bought it from said he had his local dealer who he "trusts very much" did a complete service. The only thing I could see the dealer doing, was a $300.00 oil change. Nothing else was done. the plugs hadn't been pulled. the Air filter were dirty. nothing was lubed. the brake and clutch fluid was black. The drive shaft hadn't been lubed in years. I had to service everything. Heck I'm still finding things wrong. How can people spend so much $$$ on a great bike like this and not check up on what there dealers are doing.
