I'm fairly certain both the Seca and XS 650s came in red in 82. prospektbild_von_1982.jpg caferacersociety.blogspot.com 400 × 295 - The alternative: The Yamaha XS650. I prefer the Phillips Motel http://www.phillipsmotelonline.com/ and Tuskeegee Motel. http://tuskeegeemotel.com/ Nothing wrong with Two Wheel Inn except all their beds are twin beds. ALL the motels up in that area are motorcycle friendly.

I love to run 28 from 129 to 143. It's one of my favorite rides. It actually runs all the way to Augusta but remains a great ride all the way down to Walhala SC. I like to take Warwoman Rd. (another great rd) out of Clayton Ga. to 28, take a left and go up the mtn. to Highlands NC.

Thanks flb but Extreme is still cheaper. I've spent the last few weeks searching for the best price while waiting on the insurance co. to pay off. I now have check in hand an ready to get down to making her pretty again. I've never dealt with them tho. Just trying to make sure they are reputable before pulling the trigger.

I'm shopping for parts for my damaged front fender and have found the parts at Extreme Powersports http://www.partforyamaha.com/pages/OemParts?aribrand=YAM to be cheaper than Parts Shark. Has anyone here done business with Extreme? Good experience or bad?

Rear wheel pins
Motorcycle Mike replied to 22lyons's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
The easiest way to find anything is to buy a replacement. The old one will magically appear. There are a few tools that I have spares. -

What pins are we talking about here? -
Hot, hot hot passenger feet
Motorcycle Mike replied to myminpins's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Shirley has never complained about hot feet, and I've never noticed the RSV being particularly hotter than my other bikes. But I insist we both wear over the ankle boots. Do you both wear boots? -

Looks pretty cool but I prefer to put my stuff IN a trailer, not on it.

I dont know about 2 ply vs 6 ply but 55 pounds is WAAAY too much air in that tire. I have been running 25 pounds in my Aluma MCT tires for around 30000 miles and they still look new. (Wish I could get that kind of mileage out of the MC tires). I carry a plug kit and pump instead of a spare.

3 to 4 hours commuting. I guess I "average" around 30 hours just riding. That number can fluctuate greatly tho.

I have no doubt the ins co will require me to get a professional estimate. I already know where I'll take it. I seriously doubt there is more damage, it was a very low speed impact and they stopped almost as soon as they made contact. But a pro will make that determination. I dont know if the shop will charge for the estimate or not, but the guy I talked to at the ins co said they would pay that. I may be jumping the gun as well. They MAY require that a shop does the repairs. We'll see.

Hmmm. Black IS the fastest color. Part of the reason I got this bike is because Shirley LOVES the color. But this may be an option if I cant find the right color. The only damage is to the fender. I've checked it out very well.

Yep! That pretty well says it all.
