  1. Thank you all! Yes, I switched the jumper cables by accident. It ended up blowing just my main fuse. I have been out for a few weeks so was not able to get to it till today. I was very pleased that after replacing the main fuse it's running again!
  2. Don, thanks for this info. I certainly can start there. Would you have a hunch if the main fuse would protect the system with what I did?
  3. Yep, nothing smoked and I couldn't smell anything burning but the motorcycle battery did spark/sizzle a few seconds before I realized my mistake. After I charged the battery and had it load checked before I put it back in and have no power at all. Just wondering if there might be a main fuse that may have saved me a bigger issue. thanks!
  4. Been a long time since being on the forum as I have had many great trouble free years with my 2000 venture. Well my battery was too low and would not fully turn over the engine yesterday so decided to jump it and did the unthinkable and fried my electrical. I have nothing. The battery is load tested and fully charged now. I know nothing about electrical but do have a friend who can help but not even sure where to begin. The only electrical work I have done was put the speedo-healer on it after I bought the bike. Would there be a main fuse to protect the system from my bone headed mistake??? Thanks so much!
  5. i was thinking about leveling links but don't know if i need them since the new shock sits higher. is that why you took off yours and replaced with stock?
  6. i just put mine on this past weekend and i didn't touch it. it seems to be fine the way it was preset. I did not get the heavy duty spring.
  7. got the hagon shock several weeks ago now it is time to replace. i did not see a how-to in the 2nd gen tech library. I must be missing it?? thanks, Larry
  8. I would give it ride to see if you detect any gear whine. i have the same bike and love it. the whine i have is at a specific rpm that i can avoid. i used the whine to get the price down on my bike.
  9. I just got my hagon shipped. Any thoughts (or tricks) on install that I should be considering? I did find the write-up regarding the works install. I am not quite sure how to adjust the thing so I guess i will put it on and see how it goes. Larry
  10. Well, maybe i should wait and see. I would not mind raising the rear a bit to see if it improves slow speed handle. I ended up staying with the normal spring setup. Thanks for the info! Larry
  11. Well, I finally pulled the trigger on a new hagon shock. Very nice customer service person! I think I need to try some leveling links too. Anyone have some out there they want to get rid of? Larry
  12. We use them if the trunk is full.
  13. nope...what looked like a three wheel is a car in the left lane...i had to look again!
