  1. Thank you, that was the best information in the thread. Answered alott of questions for me. ~Art
  2. Well, the docs have no clue what happened. Not a stroke, not a heart attack... His doc said she has never seen anything like it. He had all of the classic symptoms of a hart attack but show no damage to the heart. He is just getting pissy now because they want to keep him till they get some kind of clue.
  3. I will be going to Chattanooga the last week in Sept. I would be willing to help get it to you.
  4. Just to fill the gaps. The wife and I moved the Chattanooga last spring after our house sold. We were there for ten months and Momma got homesick and wanted to be here for the new grand baby. So we packed up and moved back to Michigan. We bought a mobile home to live in while we looked for a house that we liked. Now fast forward to the present... My Father-in-law has had two hip replacements in the last there years, the first went off without a hitch, the second one...Not so well. He has had to go in four more times for surgery on number two, and they still don't have it right and most likely never will. So, he is having a hard time with falling down, because he still thinks he is 30 years old and like to climb on roofs and ladders. Yes, he fell off the roof... He has a huge house with three empty bedrooms now that the brother-in-law moved out (finally) So my wife tells me a few weeks ago, we are just going to move in with Dad and take over the bills and keep him safe. Yesterday, He and I along with my two youngest boys, were moving out all of the crap that Brother left behind and my wife was cleaning the house. After one trip to the storage unit with his truck, my Tahoe and trailer it was time for dinner. Momma made my favorite summer time dinner, Brats!! We sit down at the table, Dad is complaining of a headache and looks very tired, after all he is 70, he should be tired. Well, he takes one bite of food, and GRABS HIS CHEST!!! Now he is huffing and puffing like a pedophile at recess and saying "I can't breath"! And starts to retch like he is gonna get sick. I've worked on the road for ten years, I have seen a chit ton of cardiac patients, but never actually saw the start of a heart attack.... till now. I didn't have anything with me, no oxygen, no AED, No ET tubes, no PB cuff... Nothing that I needed right then. Momma calls 911 and I sit there talking to him, like words could actually help him at that point. About 6 minutes after the on-set we have four police cars, two fire trucks, an Echo unit and an ambulance in the yard. ( it helps to be known I guess) Two minutes later he is running code down the highway to the hospital. The wife spent the night at the Hospital with him and as of this AM nobody knows what happened to him. They have ruled out a Stroke and a Heart attack They are keeping him for a few more days to run tests to make sure everything Cardiac is ruled out... Meanwhile, here I sit with my thumb firmly planted.
  5. I'm thinkin that there was probably a restroom just down the hall... And that joke is only funny if the boot belongs to someone else. Don't get quite the same laughs when you do it to yourself.
  6. I am reminded of an old TV show that had a spoof commercial for "AssSpackle". I tried to find it on YouTube... But now I'll never get that two and a half hours back. Not to mention that my eyes need to be bleached now.
  7. Well, thats a start....... Hard to make a trip without doing it.
  8. It's disappointing to read that. I realty liked to looks of the new Kawi. I was excited over the prospect of a big bore metric touring machine with a fixed fairing and tack. I am glad he posted his thoughts and experiences, I for one read what others think about a new product and I take it to heart. I am also a big proponent of good customer service. It is a corner stone of a good product. Thank you for providing this information.
  9. I have a set of gear that I got for Ice Fishing. I have not worn them on a motorcycle, but I have on snowmobiles. I fish in VERY cold weather, I'm talkin well below zero. With wind chills down to the neg. 20-30s. And I stay toasty warm. It is very light weight and it not bulky by and means. Here is what the bibs look like... I thought I had a picture of the whole outfit, but can't find it. http://i645.photobucket.com/albums/uu178/Wheellock/DSC00134.jpg I plan on wearing this gear on the scooter when the weather turns cold. The outer shell is Poly-Tricot with a closed cell insulation that is light and thin. Whole suit weighs less that my leather coat. Here is a link to the gear just in case anyone is interested. http://www.profishingsupply.com/arcticarmor/aa_redblack_suits.htm
  10. Says they plan 450 units annually. Sounds like another over priced item to me. Will wait and see:confused24:
  11. I'm tryin to figure out if the charging system on my scoot can handle a small "foot warmer". I have a Tornado 100 that I would like to use on it. It dead keys at 30 watts and swings to 150 when driven with my GE radio set at 1/4 watt dead key with a 10 watt swing. I know it won't handle my Texas Star 667... But I can dream:scratchchin: I guess I should get my head set first, then worry about an amp.
  12. I still love and shoot my .40cal Flintlock on a regular basis. Front stuffing coal burners will always be king!
  13. Winchester is dirty ammo. I personally only keep it for fodder. For my .22s I use CCIs and everything else I shoot, I roll at home. Hand rolled always put a smile on your face. Winchester is cheap ammo and cheap ammo it, well....Cheap! http://i645.photobucket.com/albums/uu178/Wheellock/DSC00262.jpg
  14. What kind of mileage and condition is that MM in? I have always been in love with the MM. IMHO, don't paint it. For the same reason I won't paint my Midnight, it's a special model. Think of all of the classic cars out there are worth half of their possible value because someone changed the paint.
  15. :thumbsup:Need to know when and where... Have bike will travel.
  16. Brother, I made it down town alright. I parked the bike across the street from Church-hill's, in front of the entrance to the Pavilion. All of the real nice Mopars we right next to me. We walked around a bit, checked out some nice cars, and saw some old friends. Then we headed south on Sag-nasty street. Took me a half hour to get to Tec-Center at Atherton st. Bike was so dang hot I had to stop and cool off the legs. Ended up hangin out there with some others on bikes and watchin the smoke shows. It was a great night. I was lookin for other VR members, but didn't see any... I'll be headed down there tonight about 9-10- o-clock. Let me know if your going and we will figure out where to hook up. Got to work till 5.
  17. Sir, I thank you for your service to our country and to our Flag. Very soon, my son will be "skids down" in Afghanistan, I'm not so sure he would have been able to show the restraint to showed in that video. I think I would be visiting him in Prison... And I would PROUDLY visit him as often as I could.
  18. Just got back from the cruise... Wow! We had a great time and mannn...there were some nice rides out there tonight.
  19. I will be in Chattanooga TN that weekend. I'm not so sure I am ready to take the new bike down THAT road, but I will gladly ride over to spend the day and meet you guys.
  20. LOL... When I was riding home from the Port Huron M&E, the wife and I had a fellow on a BMW (still had a paper tag) pulled up beside us ( he actually stuck his nose up...Physically!) and he twisted his throttle:stickpoke:... So, I did like wise. He kept trying to get away from me, but I wasn't having any of that. We ended up pegging the speedO and he gave up after he figured out he couldn't out run a 20+ year old bike. I later found out Tracy was sleeping the whole time
  21. :thumbsup2:I'm gonna go cruise it tonight and again on Friday night.
  22. I want a picture of the Robbinsville town sign.... Maybe next year. Just happens to be my last name.
  23. Wow, impressive rig! I have always loved the look of the MM. Congrats:thumbsup:
