  1. Larry is there a special price for your lift adapter for the RS Venture/Hannigan Trike? Owen
  2. Hi Jeff! I've hated that Hannigan key lock, so from your suggestion, I just ordered one of the T-locks for myself, so hope it fits as you describe. Thanks, Owen.
  3. Your enjoyment and admiration of a fine Venture will satisfy you for a long time, while price will be soon forgotten. Just make a deal and go for it! Good Luck!
  4. I have a pair for sale if anyone is interested.
  5. It isn't so much the height, but the muscles in their arms and legs must feel like they're about to explode! Those guys have to be in great shape, or be very sore tomorrow.
  6. What's Old? It's 10 years from the present day!
  7. Possibly you just hit the wrong key in error. Sometimes when this happens, the message gets miminized. Next time, run your curser across the symbles at the lower left of your screen and just maybe you'll see what you've just lost, and you can recover it. Owen
  8. With the amount of money, time and effort to build that rig, I can't imagine anyone subjecting it to that kind of abuse! Fun is fun, but don't get carried away!
  9. Last week, someone hi-jacked my e-mail address also. And, they installed a password, thereby making it impossible for me to access the site again. I had to go to a security company, which cost a fortune, and have them clean it up and start me a new ID name. I lost everything including the address book. Slowly, I'm getting it all back together again, but it definitely is the worse thing that's ever happened to me. And it'll really never be the same again. Good luck with yours. I never kept a physically written address book. Please keep all your addresses written down somewhere in case this happens to you, because it's impossible to remember all of them later. Owen.
  10. You're lucky to own one. Take very good care of it! They're hard to find around here, because in the 40's they were real popular dirt track race cars and also candidates for demolition derbys, so many were destroyed on purpose.
  11. I named my RSV "Serenity" because of the way I felt about her after completing the very first ride and still do so.
  12. Hello Meach! Not a related subject, but when I noticed that you are from Marietta, GA, I had to respond. I was in the Air Force, stationed in Marietta, at Dobbins AF Base. I'm wondering if that Base still exists. Dated several good looking girls from Marietta. Those were the fun days! Owen.
  13. I believe I'd think twice about abandening Paypal all together if I were you. Some day they may be of a benefit to you. I bought an item for $153.00 on e-bay, paid through paypal, and never received the item. I contacted Paypal and I don't know what they did to the seller, but they gave me all the money back into my account. I trust them! Owen.

    new ride

Beautiful Bike, Larry. And you are definitely going to enjoy the Hannigan Trike addition. I just got mine converted this past July and I'm in love with it, for sure. I got all the options offered except for the floor boards, because you still need your feet to back up. Another option that wasn't listed is the special tail lights, instead of using the existing Yamaha tail light and matching it. They have a system that blinks 3 times before a constant light when applying a brake. Very nice! Now, watch for those crazy cagers! Good Luck to you! Owen.
  15. So, you've removed the running lights to make repairs under the fairing and the 2 spacers between the bike's bracket and the lights mounting bar fell out. And then, you're fustrated trying to get them back in place when re-installing the lights. Not easy, huh? But, here's the million dollar's worth solution to simplify the process: First coat one side of the spacers with excessive amounts of "Silicon Ruber Sealant". Next, run the bolts through the spacers and just slightly attach the bolts to the bike's bracket. Then press lightly on the spacers to make total contact. Leave it alone now until the next day. Now, as the bolts are removed, the spacers stay in place and the lights can easily be put back in place. That's it! All ready to ride again! Owen.
  16. That's exactly the way I feel. Mine will be covered before next weekend. Just be sure to hug it for the last time. Sad days ahead for the winter, but we'll appreciate Spring even more, when it does arrive.
  17. Now, that's Funny!
  18. The advice and information that you obtain from this site will repay you for the amount of the dues many, many times. And, you will probably keep a file of various items for future reference, I know that I do. Welcome aboard! And there are no smart alex or question bashers on board here! Owen.
  19. I have to agree with the comments of the Venture as having the most comfortable, well positioned sitting and the smoothness of operation. But, to enhance all these fine qualifications, I added the Hannigan Trike Kit. Man, I don't believe there is a finer ride anywhere. Just sit in comfort, listen to the purr of that fine motor, enjoy the ride and never worry about slow speeds, sharp corners, sand on the the highway or anything else in particular, except maybe dumb cagers. This is truly a dream machine now, to me. I truly love it and wouldn't change a thing. You will never be sorry that you chose that Yamaha Venture. Owen.
  20. Thanks everyone! What would I do without you? Man, I can see that I'm in for a lot of work, but I guess it'll be worth it because, since I'm used to seeing the visor in place, it looks naked now without it. Sounds like a cold weather project for me.
  21. Kirby, I have one listed for sale right now on e-bay, priced at $25.25. Look at the ad @: "Yamaha '99 - '11, RS Venture Cover with Custom Grommets for the Antennas." It's an excellant cover, in like new condition, and I've only used it for 3 winters. Take 10% off and I'll ship it for free. Thank.You. Owen.
  22. How do I remove the chrome ring around the headlight? The bike (RS Venture) has the chrome visors on all the lights and I bumped the visor on the headlight and it came off. I need to get the chrome ring off to put the visor back on. I removed the bolt at the bottom, but something is still holding on. I need your help. Thank you! Owen.
  23. Thanks! You guys are the Greatest! Shifts like new again. That was scarry when it would try to creep forward at a stop, and even stalled the motor twice. I'm happy again, now.
  24. Air in the line, yes that's what I think may be the problem. Now, I'll bleed it in the morning and hope that fixes it. And I also removed the old fluid from the reservoir and refilled it.
  25. The clutch doesn't release completely and the trike tends to creep ahead. Probably a simple procedure to most of you, but I just need a little help here. I changed the fluid. I now need to bleed the system. Thanks. Owen.
