  1. I was looking around and found that there are several of the vendors which are offering motorcycle rain suits. Although they are cheap in price but can't figure out which one is the best brand i should have to prefer. Alpinestars, Dainese, Joe rocket and REV'IT! are most known brands in the list.Nelson-Rigg is also offering good collection in this category. Any suggestion and experience. I don't want to find my self wet just because of some bad selection.
  2. We are in the process of rebuilding our VR Assistance List. If you can and are willing to offer assistance to a member who is riding through your area, please edit your profile to include that information. Simply click on "Settings" at the upper right of the page and then scroll down to "Edit Profile". Near the bottom you will find a place to select "yes or no" in regards to offering local assistance and then a place to select services that you may be able to offer. Cowpuc just mentioned in another thread another, and maybe easier, way to get to it. Click "forum actions" in the small menu at the top. Select edit profile. Scroll down and you'll see where to select your information.
  3. Hi there folks. I have placed an ad in the classified section offering to sell RSV lift frame adapters. These can only be used on bikes without the centerstand on them. You mount them to the bikes lower frame first using a steel rod that is provided with the adapter, then slide a mc jack under it and lift the bike up. I built these with some new improvements over the one I had done before. This model has much better access to the oil filter. This is a much better set up & safer from using hockey pucks or lumber in my opinion. Being out of work for almost a year now I've decided to put my ideas and skills to use to provide some income from selling these as well as at the same time giving our members here a product that will see a lot of use. I'm asking $65 + shipping costs. I'll get a better idea as to the shippng costs next week. I'm guessing offhand at the moment something between $10 & $15. Pay Pal payments is available as well. Any questions please do contact me either here in PM or vie E-Mail Thanks in advance, Larry Skeels Update: Due to several requests for a self standing model I am now offering one that will allow the jack to be removed entirely. Current model will allow the wheels to be off the ground 5 - 5 1/2". Other heights available per request. Costs for this model will be $105 for local pick up or $125 shipped Update 1-07: I've added another option for those of you have my Freestanding lift adapter. I'm offering them now with foot pads welded on per request if wanted, for an additional $5. For those of you who already have my freestanding adapter I'm also offering a slip on foot for $15 which includes shipping. Both have a 3" square pad and will keep your legs from sinking into the ground, gravel, or blacktop drives for those who have no concrete. UPdate 2-8-07: It has come to my attention that the Larin jack is about 1/2" shorter than the width of the adapters. Which will make it much harder to get the jack centered properly. I have come up with a solution thou that will center the lift pads of the jack everytime and at no extra cost for the Larin jack owners. So if you have a Larin jack let me know before ordering and I will incorporate the modification before shipping an adapter out.
  4. Just looked in the classifieds at the 2nd gen page and seen that 10 of the listings have been sold recently. Was there some stimulus offering that I have missed? Or did someone here hit it big in Lotto? :mo money::mo money:
  5. Someone local (Iforgot if it's in BC or Alberta) is selling a 2006 RSV and says they have an extended warranty that was purchased over and above the mfg 5 yr that is good thru 2013. I don't believe it's a Yamaha offering but I've asked the seller to let me know more. Anyone heard of such an extended warranty on these bikes?
  6. I regret to say that I have removed myself from offering VR assistance. In order to provide assistance I have to post my phone numbers(s) for contact purpose. It's too bad that someone chooses to use the phone number information for something other than to request assistance. One rotten apple CAN spoil the whole bushel.
  7. I'm going to be needing a center stand for my bike when I get my 2nd Gen. Is anyone here still offering one, or have one for sale?
  8. Just a huge shout of thanks to Coveralls. They were already a gold member for their past donations to rallies but now they are not only offering two of their covers as prizes at our International Rally at the Hub but they are also offering a discount to any VentureRider member who wishes to order direct from them. See the topic area "Vendors who offer us Discounts" for details. You can see their products at their site but you must call in your order to obtain the discount. Their online system is not setup to calculate the discount. http://www.coveralls.biz/
  9. In my continuing venture for gear to make MC camping easier, came across this site. The Blackwater short sleeve tight fit is currently on sale and they are offering an additional 10% discount. Five of these shirts can be packed in the space it takes to pack two regular T's. http://www.botachtactical.com/bltifitshshs.html
  10. I once saw some inserts for the hinges in chrome or SS. One guy even was offering to monogram them. Now I can't find them, anyone know where they are offered? Don't have to be monogramed.
