    For the microphone cover I just use a small piece of an old sheet and after it's reassembled drop some 90W oil on it to make it waterproof. As far as the mike mute switch, they are the same buttons as on the tuner controller and cassette deck...

    Just got in from snowblowing myself. Changed the oil and put some seafoam in the tank and my 20 year old machine runs like new!! Tom, is that any way to talk to your precious daughter?????

    Yah! I would have loved to go just to have SEEN some of those fantastic bikes!! There was one or two makes I never heard of before too! Fond memories of bikes I have seen in the past. Saw one Triumph Bonneville that was going for a good price! Saw other bikes that are selling for many times what they originally cost fer sure...

    OK so the first evening is planned!! We will meet up with Skid and Yammer Dan somewhere in WV early evening and are spending the night in WV. If anyone else in the area wants to stop by the hotel to say hi you are welcome to do so! Day 2 should take us probably in SC. May consider meeting up with etcwjioe that evening if not on the way home seeing as we are staying overnight a little south of him on the way home at Becky's older sister's place. We might stop in Charlotte to visit our "adopted" biker chick daughter (friend of the family) for a late lunch. I'll figure out what schedule is going to work for you Florida Folks!!

    I went thru this myself. What your dealer does is estimate high and then the insurance company comes in and whittles it down a tad with things like "That part does not need to be replaced, just bend it back into shape" etc. Check with your service manager at the dealer to see if this is the case. You did the right thing taking it to a dealer as long as the dealer has a good reputation. Unfortunately there are good dealers and bad dealers out there... BTW welcome aboard! Glad you are OK! Yes, protective gear does just that!

    OK sounds like we have aq few people to visit along the way! Hoping to meet up with Skid Tuesday evening and we are staying at a Best Western in Summersville,WV. Hope to be near Florida Wednesday night. Joe, on the way back we will be stopping to visit the wife's older sister in Bluffton to the south of you. Maybe we can get together either Wednesday afternoon or on the way back. We want to make Boca Ratton by Thursday night to the wife's younger sister where we are staying until Saturday morning. I'll try to meet up with you Florida people either Thursday or on the way back!
