    Spent the day out in the sun as was suggested by someone here. Last night was formal night so I got to wear my new tux I bought last month. never owned one and now I do. Had lobster tails for dinner. Came home and found a new pet in the room waiting for us. Today is kind of a rocky day on the high seas...

    ...and make money! We made it on board with everything we intended on bringing except my camera. Hopefully it is still in my car and not laying in the parking lot. I took a picture of the boat from the parking lot then put my GPS away in the console. Took the elevator to boarding, got rid of the luggage except the carry on. Went to get the camera out of carry on bag and couldn't find it! They have this really nice 14M Olympus with 18x optical zoom and 3D capability for $229 I'm eyeing up...

    Hey Buddy! I hope you get that thing back together by the time I get back! That hitch is a lot like the one on my '84. So what was the issue with the tail light, bad bulb or bad connector?

    Your story is similar to my '84 blonde! The original owner died and the wife couldn't bring herself to sell it for years. Finally did, the guy I bought it from got it running but his wife didn't like it so I ended up with it with only 8K on it!!! I recognised that old Merc in the pictures! Those were some of my favorites! Dad had a '64 Park Lane maroon with white interior. loved that car, especially the rear window that went down...

    Yes, I too was fortunate to have actually seen one of those on the road while a young teen. I remember riding with the family coming home from shopping and one of those was along side us then turned right off of McKinley Parkway in Blasdell NY. It was like a climpse into the future...

    All tucked in for the nite in Vero beach. After having a wonderful lunch conversation with Ruffy we stopped in a mall in St Augustine to get some exercise. Finally got to Vero Beach around 7:00 but had a little bit of a hard time finding the place. Thinking we were finally turning into their parking lot I found myself on the entrance ramp to I95 again so we had to drive to the next exit 17 miles away and turning around to come back. Stuffed ourselves at the Cracker Barrell next door. Settling in with some nice West Virginia vodka, and hoping to get ahold of Tuff Tom to meet up on the way to Boca Raton tomorrow...

    OK snuggled in at a Hampton Inn in Waltersboro SC and etcswjoe just left after a wonderful visit. One more Venturerider I can now put a face to the name! He rode over. Must be nice to be able to ride in January! Todasy's pictures are from a bridge on Rt 19 in WV that thanks to Yammer Dan I knew enough to stop and check out...

    Hmmm, first thing comes to mind id electrical issue. Start with cleaning and appling bdielectric grease to the YCI connections, or could be those pesky plug wires...

    OK Skid and Yammer already know this, but it looks like we are now going to Asheville to the Biltmore on Feb 9th. Just got off the phone with Randy a or Venturous as he is now known, and looks like we are gonna have a little mini M&E in Johnson City Tenn! More to follow on that...

    OK We're all snuggled in at the Best western after an absolutely fantastic dinner with Mr. & Mrs. Yammerdan and the Skid clan! It was sooo terriffic enjoying face time withb you guys! Skid, your daughters are absolutely precious! Captain Joe I will check the map to see if we are going in that direction. We are heading south on US 19 to beckley then heading to NC and SC. Looking forward to hooking up with etcswjoe tomorrow for dinner. I have to go back out to the car and get the camera and resize some pictures to post a little later. Our room is nice and cozy with a kingsize bed, nuker and fridge!

    That's cool, but depending on just how it works Saddlebum's idea may be a cheaper alternative but you have to make sure your accessory plug (cigarette lighter for you older people) is always live. Some automobiles have it configured so that, depending on where you put the fuse, the accessory plug may or may not work unless the key is on...

    Oh boy oh boy!! We are finally starting our 3 week vacation today! Driving down to Florida then taking an 8 day cruise followed by a day at Disney then heading back. The thing that is going to give this vacation that extra special touch is meeting up with members of the VR family along the way! As many of you know this site is special and very dear to my heart so I am really looking forward to the commute. Tonight is West Virginia meeting up with Skid and Yammer Dan. Haven't seen Skid since Asheville in '07 I think. Dan I always see at MD. We're leaving around 10:00 and having lunch in Erie Pa.
