You did good, Gene. If he would have seen his son, things could have escalated in a bad way. You did exactly the right thing, in keeping him occupied. Dealing with a child in that situation really sucks. I know it all too well, and way too many times. It will get easier, but as was already said, you have to talk about it. Talking about it helps. If not, you can always see a grief counselor. I feel for ya Bud, just hang in there.

Isn't this like the third time you've had some type of vibration? You need to get that bike checked out good.

When I lived up north, and I had to let my bike sit over the winter, I would put a good coat of wax all over the paint and chrome, then take the wax off in the spring. Seems to help keep the moisture off, and protect the surfaces.

Ted, I'm glad to hear that at least one burden has been lifted off of you, although I know you'll miss it. Hopefully, you'll be back on your feet soon, and can get another bike. Your sick family members are in our thoughts here. I know you've been having a rough ride lately. Take care Bud, Monty

Well, the Boss Hoss National Rally is here again this coming weekend. There will be LOTS of bikes here, not just Boss Hoss. It is also the Mid-South Motorcycle Festival. http://www.bosshosscountry.com/ A few of us were discussing these the other day, and I found a few photos of the one I was talking about. This guy is from Vermont, and owns his own machine shop. He and his wife both ride Boss Hoss trikes, but he stretched his out, and it now has two, yes two 502 engines in it. He said it makes 1050 HP. My '83 only had 56k on it, so not unlikely. My brother owns it now, and it still runs. At 50k, the 2nd gear problem probably just showed up, so he wants to dump it.

I remember when Radio Shack sued Auto Shack, so they changed it to Auto Zone. That was in the late 80's I think.

Sorry, I have no idea. I used to have an old Massey-Ferguson SST500 sled. It was a Rotax twin cylinder. That thing would fly! I didn't have much use for it after I moved down here, so I sold it to a kid who was gonna put it in a go-cart. I told him he'd better build a good roll cage...lol.
