Vancouver Island is a great ride as is the one to Whistler. Instead of going down I 5 to rte 20 I would go through the Sumas crossing ( Abbotsford) and down rte 9 to rte 20 and through the North Cascades. A much more relaxing and scenic route.

That time of year again. Gearing up for the annual toy run. I am Santa again and leading the run. For anyone interested google Saltspring toy run for info. We have camping, games, beer garden, etc. Lamb roast and music by Auntie Kate. We raised a lot for underprivliged kids last year and this year is looking even better. Sept 3rd is the run. Got groups coming on the 2nd for camping and staying until the 4th.

Got the slipstream 13 inch with light tint. Put it on then rode to Cody and back. I really like it.

On the trip to Cody I did the same. There was no mention of all the road work we ran into. They are trying to stimulate the economy so I think that wherever you go you are going to run into roadwork. The up side is that wherever we went the flagers were sympathetic to the bikers and pulled us up to the front.

I refuse to answer the phone. It drives the wife crazy but cuts out a lot of B.S. They can talk to the machine. The message they get is...."This is the number you have dialed. If you are begging, borrowing or selling, hang up now, otherwise leave a message, we may get back to you.

I don't think it is the clutch that has been replaced but rather the clutch basket. Some Ventures had a loud whine and that was usually fixed by replacing the clutch basket.

It was a great trip with great company. Good to meet new people. The chili was good but the fish tacos were great! Loved the scenery and the rides. Many thanks to the organizers.

Fortunately I only need drug store glasses to read. I have 6 pair so why can I never find even one.

We have 10% Tuesday here. Ten % off in the stores. That is when the blue rinse babes and the bi-focal boys get out and play bumper car in the parking lot. I used to work for the airlines. A passenger told me he had lost his contact lens on the plane so I went to look for it. I slid my hand down the side of the cushion of his seat and the lens went right up under my fingernail. Took me all of ten seconds. The passenger was impressed. I told him I had torn the seat apart to find it.

Does the weeping and wailing come after eating your chili or the next morning? We all die some day....put me down for two bowls.

Glad to hear it. Exercise is really important. Went down and broke my thumb 30 years ago. Didn't do the exercises and I am still paying for it.

ATGATT. All the gear all the time. I do ride well protected but when it gets really hot I am down to a vest. I just ride cautious. Great video. My brother-in-law was riding in sneakers and jeans. Not going fast but a car cut the corner and forced him down. He lost his leg due to all the flesh being scraped off. If he had been wearing boots he would have walked away.

When cleaning my 02 I noticed a lot of small cracks in the rubber elbow from the carbs to the engine. I don't think any go through the rubber....yet. Is this common and is it likely to give me grief anytime soon?

Some time ago I got a call from the MC fraud squad about my credit card. Seems it had been scanned when I checked into a hotel in Vancouver. They sent the info to India where another card was made and bills run up in New Delhi. Now it is flagged and any use beyond 100 miles from home is denied unless I tell them where I am going first. I informed them I am going to Cody and the dates so I am good there. Can't use the cards to buy gas in the states and pay at the pump as they want zip code and ours have letters and theirs don't so will not accept. Have to deal with the clerk inside.
