No only did he admit that it makes no sense, he went so far as to say that it NEVER made sense. He said that he only pushed it because he needed the farmers votes. Now I'll probably end up having to delete my own post and others when this turns political.... dang....I hate it when I have to censor me.....

You have an unusual dealer. Most reports are between 125.00 and 150.00

Just send Rick a PM or an email. I'm sure that he still has them but probably didn't remember to renew the ad.

Folks, I just sent out an urgent email to all our members. It is a request that I seldom make any longer because I felt that we were asking too often. This is a real need though for a wonderful person who has also been one to help others. Now she needs us and I hope that we can be there for her. If you do not get the email and want to know more, please let me know. The posts of this thread have now been deleted and the thread closed. This was done for privacy reasons. You folks stepped up to the plate and I don't even have the words to express my gratitude for all that you do. If anybody was planning to help and just hadn't done so yet and need info as to how, please send me a private message.

That's not ALWAYS true Condor. Some websites have direct linking disabled because it does use their bandwidth. It will sometimes work but not always and really isn't a good practice because when that other website eventually removes the picture, it goes away here also. I had that problem with a couple of tech articles. The folks who submitted them had saved the photos in their photobucket accounts. They eventually deleted them from photobucket and suddenly the tech articles became useless here.

Yes, that was my first concern and I am keeping an eye on her. I would never give any dog turkey or chicken bones.

I also agree with the hub bearings. I recently placed both sides on my son's Taurus and they were making the same noise that you describe. The ones on his car came as complete hub assemblies. Kind of a pain to do but no special tools were needed. hmmm.....well....come to think of it, I did have to buy a large socket for the nut. I think that was about $17.00 and the hub assemblies at Autozone were around $50.00 each.

You can't just copy and paste the entire article and expect the pictures to show up. You have to either save the picture to your computer and then upload it as an attachment or use the "Insert Image" icon in the menu bar (yellow square with what looks like a mountain in it) if you are posting an image "inline" that is linked from somewhere else. In my opinion, the best way is to save it to your computer and upload it as an attachment. Inserting the link to the image works find and allows you to insert the image directly into your post but you have no control over that image. If it is removed from that site at a later time, the image will turn into the red "x" again. In addition to that, some sites really HATE it when you link to their images. It means that anytime somebody views the thread hear, we are using bandwidth from their site that they are paying for.

I didn't remember but did a search and found this posted by Ruffy. If you go to a larger auto parts store, there is an aisle that contains carded auto parts called HELP! Its usually packed in a carded red sealed package. The HELP! section carries small and hard to find OEM parts. Look for 5/8" water pump and/or heater hose caps. Those caps are used to block off those particular orfices. The outside diameter is 3/4 and fits perfectly inside the AIS hose. I had to "lube" the cap with liquid soap to get it to fit inside the hose.

Does ANYBODY here REALLY think that Ms. Janet would be using Gmail for her email service?

Jason Mod question - help please
Freebird replied to shikano53's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
You can just let them hang...it won't hurt anything. Most here agree though that the Jason Mod is pretty much a waste of time. -
Yea, I'm sure that if she could talk...it would be a story very similar to that. The thing is, she refused to even look guilty. She seemed quite content and pleased with herself.

Sorry, I don't know anything about those specific mufflers. At one time I had Samson's on my '99 with the turnout tips. They were VERY loud. They used a permanent baffle that was really nothing more than a steel screen. No packing of any kind and the baffle was not removable to be packed. The ones you are looking at may be different though. Just looked them up online and they appear to be similar to what I had just with different ends. The Fishtails may have a different sound but I'm thinking they are still going to be loud. One-piece, 3 in. diameter mufflers feature free flowing, low restriction, non-removable baffles, high quality chrome plating and heavy-duty slotted channel brackets. The non-removable baffles tells me that they are indeed going to the the permanent steel baffles and will be loud.

For Thanksgiving day, we usually cook a Amish raised turkey of about 20 pounds. When Eileen went to get the turkey this year, they were sold out of the larger birds so she bought two 12 pounders. We decided to cook one in the oven and that I would deep fry the other. They both looked very good but we didn't have that many people for Thanksgiving dinner so put the one that I fried on the table and that ended up being enough. It was completely gone but we never cut the second one. Yesterday was going to be a day of relaxation and then leftovers which I actually enjoy more than the actual Thanksgiving day dinner. Eileen got the second turkey out and set it on the counter. About thirty minutes later, I came down from the bedroom where I had been watching a movie with the intentions of carving the turkey and preparing a big plate of turkey, dressing, all the trimmings. NOTHING BUT FOIL on the counter. The turkey was GONE. The only thing left was a piece of foil on the counter, a piece of foil on the floor and a very content looking 80 lb. dog laying in on the rug and wagging her tail. She is usually very well behave and had NEVER gotten anything off the counter before but I guess a large roasted turkey was just more than she could resist. We have a doggy door and I'm sure that she took it outside to eat because there was no mess at all on the floor. No grease, no juice, nothing. She cleaned up after herself very well. So if one of you could send me just a single turkey sandwich...I would gladly pay you Tuesday for a turkey burger today.

I agree. There are some people who really feel that they work but these things have been tested many times and the results have always been the same, they do NOTHING to protect you.

I carry my 15" in the trunk and it seems about perfect for me. I really don't care the the smaller netbooks nor the Ipad type devices.

We cooked two 12 pounders this year. One the conventional way in the oven and the other I deep fried. I made my own marinade to inject it with. Everybody thought it was great but I wasn't crazy about it. I know what I didn't like and will modify it next time. As for pre-cooked turkeys...or any turkey for that matter. My all time favorite is still the Greenberg Turkey. They are injected and smoked in Tyler, TX and they are still the best turkey I have ever eaten. Haven't had one in a few years, may order one for Christmas. http://www.gobblegobble.com/

I'm thankful for many things. I could write a book here about all that I have to be thankful for but I'll spare you all because to be honest, much of it would be the same things that you are all thankful for. So, to keep it relevant to VentureRider.org, I'll just say that I'm thankful to each and every single one of you. Even you troublemakers who may not see things 100% the same way that I do, you are still an important and loved part of the family here and if we all agreed on everything, it would get pretty mundane around here. So here's wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving. I hope you all get to eat so much that you have to be rolled to bed. Let's also remember those in the world who have little to eat and say a special prayer for them and for our men and women in uniform who are serving and away from their families to make this day possible for all of us.

I sent him an email last night and told him to check his messages. Being a holiday week, he may be out of town, away from the computer, etc. Hopefully he will get my email and check in soon. I did this after seeing a few responses in the classifieds. I bought a couple of things from him and got them two days later. He is normally very responsive and that's why I think that he must be away.

Now there you go....wrong again.
