  1. I think it's one of things that is pretty cool but after once or twice, it wouldn't be used again.
  2. They have changed it a bit but I used the Tech Mounts XM/Sirius Antenna Bracket available here: http://www.cyclegadgets.com/Products/orderbysku.asp Mine is round but I do see it listed any longer. It sandwiches between the cradle and the Ram Mount.
  3. They have a "mostly music" plan that is $9.99 per month. I have the "XM Everything" which is $12.95 per month. You can see their various plans here. http://www.xmradio.com/whatisxm/plans-pricing.xmc I have XM on the bike because of the Zumo. I have Sirius in my wife's car and in the house primarily because my wife's car came with the Sirius built in. I really don't have a preference of one over the other.
  4. No, though they are now the same company, they are still operating separately. You will have to go through XM.
  5. Here is what you need. They are certainly NOT cheap. http://www.pcnation.com/web/details.asp?item=6G0645 Search for GXM30 at EbayMotors.com and you'll find some a bit cheaper.
  6. I replied once and then deleted it because I misread your post. You will need the XM radio antenna/receiver. It plugs into the Zumo 550.
  7. If you are buying it from your dealer then I'm pretty sure you are OK. I doubt that they would be selling you an oil that is not compatible with your bike.
  8. WOW....I forgot all about her and had no idea where she was from. Haven't heard that name in a long time.
  9. LOL...OK...I just don't see it quite that way but that's OK...I don't need to. Maybe I'm just being dense but as long as you are satisfied, that is all that really matters. They make several different models so I don't what kind of deal it was for you. They have several models and some are more expensive than others. I'm not knocking Deltran. As said, I own two of them and think they are great products. Also as yours was LONG out of warranty, I agree that they didn't have to replace it. The only point I was trying to make is that depending upon what model it is, if you can buy it online for the same price that they charged you, they really didn't do anything other than sell you another one.
  10. It's even worse....they say that is the home of Joni Mitchell...YECK...she is one of the few from that era that I really just can't stand to listen to. Sorry....she just sound whiny to me.
  11. I can't agree with that. For me, it's Mobil 1. I use it in everything that I own and have done so for probably 12 - 15 years. It is the only oil for me...PERIOD.
  12. I'm sorry...but it just doesn't sound like a great deal to me. I have two of these. $32.99 with free shipping. 13. Well, this one is not on the level as some of what you folks have shown but it is a bit unusual. This is one my customers in Cincinnati, OH. He is an architect and this is his office. The Mushroom House
  14. No argument from me. My first Venture as an '88. I really wanted and tried to like it but just never could get comfortable on it. I ended up selling it and buying a Harley. Then when the RSV came out in '99, that I knew it was the bike for me. The bullet proof engine of the first gen Venture in a stretched out cruiser frame that fit me perfectly. So, no regrets here.
  15. Yea...and you are VERY lucky because I think I have one or two left. NO more orders folks. If I have any left I'll post later but at this time, consider them sold out.
  16. Folks...they are motorcycle salvage. They but totaled bikes from insurance auctions and etc. I've bought some excellent parts from them and always at least 50% cheaper than I could have bought them elsewhere. I would guess that the majority of the plastics, chrome and etc. will have some cosmetic damage but I've gotten some excellent deals from them on items like coils and other items that wouldn't be easily damaged when a bike is totaled.
  17. LOL....calling dibs may not work. I won't be out there monitoring where people set up. It is pretty much first come and all that.
  18. Hey...I'm getting old..."G" rating is about the best I can do.
  19. Yes, so long as there aren't too many that you can't all get to the outlets. There are several circuits in the greenhouse and one out by the pier at the pond.
  20. I hope you get it figured out. I know how frustrating it can be. I also know that if Eileen tried to work while sitting in my lap...she wouldn't get much done.
  21. They may have been talking about the the choice hotels website. It is: http://www.choicehotels.com
  22. Yea, I thought about you. That's why I offered the 20% discount. Trying to entice folks to stay anyway.
  23. No, I'm offering a discount this year. 20% off last years rates. So....0 x .8 = .....hmmm...... yea....seems to be just about the same price.
  24. The Oberlin Inn emailed Nance56 with the following information. Due to the way that they did us last year, I am NOT endorsing them in any way but felt it only fair to at least let you all know. "The Oberlin Inn contacted me and told me that they would let us have rooms for the 89.95 same as always. I told them that we were not happy with the treatment that our members received. She said that they were aware of that, but that several stayed there last year. I will leave this to you to post it if you want. She said to just tell them you are with ventureriders and you will get that rate. We do not have any type of agreement with them. She just wanted to extend the offer. I do know that this was out of her hands and she was not happy either. When you are an employee you do not always get a say in the matter."
  25. Yes, I edited my original post and agreed that it is non-energy conserving. Here is a pretty decent article on upgrading the clutch. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=10518
