Just got home and saw that my new tires had arrived. I went with the Avons again. There was a recent comment the the problem with the sidewalls cracking has been resolved. That may be true but the dates on these tires are 0610 for the front and 4310 for the rear so any changes were likely made after these were produced. I was a little disappointed in that these were made last year. I'm replacing two Avons that still have a lot of tread the the sidewalls are all cracked. I'm going to mount these but if I have the cracking issue again, Avon and I are going to have a little chat.

Go to your ad. At the upper right will be a drop down menu that says "Ad Options". Click on that and then "edit".

I'll have to check this on my bike when I get home. I've never actually listened through the rear headsets but my wife has never complained about low volume. I also don't remember for sure but isn't there a "fade" in the audio controls? I wonder if you have too much of the sound going to the front and not to the rear.

It is always our honor to host this group. We really do enjoy it. Your diamond cut fins were a GREAT prize and anybody who wins them should be very happy. I know that I love the ones you did for me.

I am surprised that it took this long for somebody to mention that. Sorry friends, I just didn't have my camera with me.

It's amazing that the seem so hard to find. I know NOTHING about these companies but they do show to have them. http://www.repairmanual.com/online/official-1999-2010-yamaha-xvz13-royal-star-venture-factory-service-manual-lit-11616-12-60/ http://www.allmotormanuals.com/motorcycle-manuals/yamaha-motorcycle-repair-manuals/yamaha-xvz13-royal-star-v-star-motorcycle-repair-manual-lit-11616-12-60.html

Mom Passed
Freebird replied to etcswjoe's topic in Inspirational, Motivational, Prayer Requests, Etc.
So sorry to hear it. I know that even when you expect it, you are never ready. Please know that you will continue to be in our prayers. -
Yea right....then I just spend MORE time moving posts to different threads. Cute idea but would be a lot of extra work.

I agree that if you want full control like you had on your old Canon film camera, you will simply have to move to a full SLR. My son and my wife both have Nikon SLR cameras and both have just about any settings that you can imagine. Now when I use either of their cameras, I just put them on Auto and shoot. That's all I need to know.

Looks like you got it. Now you have to tell us, is that a self portrait?

Moving Mom to Hospice
Freebird replied to etcswjoe's topic in Inspirational, Motivational, Prayer Requests, Etc.
We have dealt with Hospice on a couple of occasions and they were wonderful. Very caring and went above and beyond to ensure the comfort of the patient. My wife cared for her sister for many months but towards the end, I don't think she could have handled it without the help of Hospice. Your mom as well as you and the rest of the family will be in our prayers. I know it is a very difficult time for all. -
I can't offer much help. The bikes are so different that they really can't be compared to each other. The Roadstar is a nice bike but I've only ridden one briefly a couple of times. Great low end torque. I think it would be fun bike to own but I wouldn't want to give up my RSV for one. I don't think it would be nearly as good a bike for cross country rides.

No, I have not tried every setting. Several years ago, there was an owner who took his bike to the Dyna factory and they did a lot of Dyno test on it at all the different settings and there was no significant difference in performance at any setting. The only real advantage that I see is the ability to raise the rev limiter. I've noticed no change in gas mileage under normal riding.

I've had a lot of cars over the years that I would like to have back. A couple of '69 Camaros, a '73 Chevelle SS 454, a 72 Buick Gran Sport 455 and several others but my all time favorite was my '74 Challenger. It was only a 318 but I loved that car. I guess if I had to choose only one to have back that would be it.

GEEEZZZZ..........who's making WHO feel old?

I have the Dyna 3000 on mine and I don't think there is any benefit at all unless you just like to occasionally stomp on it. Every once in a while, I get the urge to hammer it and having the higher rev limiter is really nice. That along with the VMAX rear which I also have installed is really fun when you just want to play a bit.

It's a size issue. Your Speedy is clipped also. The max height of the signature is 150 pixels.

YES...my TEEN years...HEY...I'm not as old as I look. I graduated from high school in 1973 so those were the cars that I grew up with.

OK....what is the pic you are trying to insert? I see a Goldwing now. Is that what you are seeing? Is that the one that you are trying to replace?

I stopped by to see a customer today in Knox, PA. While talking, I noticed a picture of a '68 Plymouth Roadrunner convertible on the wall beside his desk. I asked him if that was one that he wished he had kept and he said...Heck...I still have it. Turns out that he is a big Mopar fan. He asked if I wanted to see some old cars and of course I did. We ended up walking through 3 buildings full of early to late 60 Mopars and a couple of early 70 models. This was a very nice guy dressed in Dickie's work clothes and you would think that he was just any regular guy but he had probably close to a million dollars worth of cars in those buildings. Not junk...NICE cars. Most were in very nice original condition or very lightly restored. He had 2 Roadrunner convertibles, 2 beautiful Superbirds, a number of early sixty Satellites, 300's, etc. A couple of early 70 Challengers and several other great cars. All had original engines and most were 383, 440, etc. It was a real treat to walk through and see the cars, sit in them and remember the muscle cars from my teen years. You just never know what you are going to run into.

After you upload the pic, you have to scroll down again and click on "insert pic".

Most of the Harleys that I have seen simply have larger speakers. I think that they are at least 5 x 7. Much better than the little 4" speakers that we have.
