  1. or...no underwear at all...but in that case...make SURE it's just a fart.
  2. Folks, I don't want to start a debate here over synthetic vs. dino based blinker fluid but I strongly recommend that if your bike is over about 5 years old or 40,000 miles that you NOT switch to synthetic blinker fluid. It can cause leaks in such cases. I had a very good friend that swapped to synthetic fluid at 45,000 miles and it caused the light from his blinkers to drip out onto the ground.
  3. I already have that feature on my bike. Through the Zumo 665 and the Buddy Rich cable.
  4. I am being 100% honest when I say that I've had absolutely no problems with my RSV crossed the highest mountains in Colorado. Maybe I was just so into the beauty of the mountains that I just didn't notice but whatever power was lost certainly wasn't an issue. Much of it was riding two up and pulling a fairly heavily loaded Bushtec trailer.
  5. Just curious, have you tried it with the cable plugged in but the CB powered off. You power it completely off by holding the CB button until it turns off.
  6. I agree. The seller is 100% wrong. It clearing states that the auction is for two light bars.
  7. Thank you for the comments. I've deleted the 4th one. The first one is working fine for me though.
  8. A HUGE thank you to BigBear for taking the time to shoot videos of the proper way to use the valve shim tool. I would like to encourage any of you who has the time to produce such videos. They will make a GREAT addition to our tech library. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?p=711236#post711236
  9. A HUGE thanks to BigBear for taking the time to create these videos. There are 4 versions here. They are similar but he did some editing in an attempt to create smaller files. I decided to upload them to YouTube so am just going to link all 4. Putting them on YouTube will save us a TON of bandwidth. 10. I'm thinking that nobody would know that better than YOU.
  11. We don't have a lot of rules here but I'm thinking that we should maybe consider adding a new one. Rockin' Robin and Aussie Annie cannot be at the same rally at the same time.
  12. I think it looks fantastic. Great job.
  13. WOW Dingy...that last one is listed as a '95 model. I'm thinking he may not know much.
  14. Yea, don't take it wrong. We tease a lot here but you are not being bashed for bringing up an old thread. You got the best suggestion when V7Goose told you to bring it by. He is VERY GOOD on these bikes and I'm sure can help you get it resolved. With the low miles, I would be surprised if it is the tire. If it was run at low pressure for those miles though, I supposed it could be. If you have any cupping though, you can usually feel it by running your palm gently around the outer edge of the tread. If there is no cupping and both front and rear tires are at the proper air pressure, I would still suspect that the head bearings are loose.
  15. Yes, get in touch with Hummingbird, he looked at it earlier this week. Looks like a heck of a deal if it's in OK shape.
  16. I don't know what you saw on Ebay but probably. I looked at the specs on the one posted and it has a 1/8" output jack. That means you can use a 1/8" patch cord from the output of your Sirius unit, Ipod, whatever and feed it right into that amp and then to your speakers. So if you see one on Ebay and it has the stereo jack, it should work just fine.
  17. There you go. Something like that is exactly what I had been trying to find. I knew somebody must make something to do what you wanted.
  18. geeezzzzz......get a room already. Seriously, congrats to you two. You are an amazing couple.
  19. I agree with Brad that you will need some type of amp. You would think that somebody would make something for just that purpose and they probably do but I did a Google search after seeing your post and didn't find anything.
  20. Yes, Carbon_one. Check the classifieds under Member Vendors. Larry does GREAT work.
  21. I agree with Brian....I think they don't know what they are talking about. I don't know of any kind of steering dampers that were added to ANY year model of the RSV. I can also say that my '99 is rock solid at any speed. If the front tire is cupped, that could certainly be the only issue.
  22. You folks are missing the part where he doesn't have a truck. He is going to pull it with a Tahoe.
  23. I promised it wasn't directed at anybody in particular. I just know how this discussion typically goes.
  24. Here is the POI file for Yamaha dealers. The first are the USA dealers and the second is Canada. Unfortunately, both are from 2007 so are very outdated. http://www.poi-factory.com/node/2941 http://www.poi-factory.com/node/2942
  25. I found a POI list of Yamaha dealers for my GPS. If you have a GPS, I will find and post the URL for it.
