guns_usn_20 replied to Jethroish's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
07 RSTD . I have 25000 miles on it. It is put up fot the winter. When I had my truck down for head gasket I had to ride my RSTD to work and back 70 mi round trip plus trips to the Dragon in TN/NC to western ky and other parts of KY. I'll miss 6-12 months of good ridin time when I deploy to Iraq on march 1st. It's all about the $$. Gunner -

4 way flashers for 07 RSTD
guns_usn_20 replied to guns_usn_20's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Here is another question on the same topic. When wiring the flashers, Is it possiable to wire to the wires running to the rear turn signals instead of using the front turn signals? I thought of this because the power source is in the back of the bike. I am using the plug in rear of my rstd that is hot in the ACC position and hot in the on position. -
After market seats for RSTD
guns_usn_20 replied to roadwarrior's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
RoadWarrior; I can't tell you what aftermarket seat to buy, because I haven't tried any. but, I do have this soft bottom gel pad. Mine is the double thickness touring cushion. I have ridden my 07 rstd for long distances and have no problems. there is no vibrations when using this pad. here is a link. http://www.geltechnology.com/ They aren't cheap but alot less than a new seat that you may not be happy with. I have a 07 RSTD and love it even in the short time I've owned it. The electroic cruise is great, handles great. Plenty of power for interstate riding. No real complaints, I added the UTOPIA Backrest, well worth the $189.00. easy to install too. center of gravity is higher than the 1100 I had. plenty of leg room. Jim Bell -
