  1. Hey Squid , If a Tattoo is too much and I do respect any decision that Tim comes too , my son also does piercings . We could get Tim a set of VR Guardian Bell earrings . It would definitely detour any Gremlins and cure any whines or chirps that his scoot may have ! BEER30
  2. Talked to the son , The TAT's are covered on this end . Just need to get this Fund Raiser going ! I think we need another contest by submitting Tattoo's for Tim and Squid to view and possibly pick out for there own . Maybe some good Cheesecake artwork for Squid and for Tim ......? (I'll refrain any suggestions for now) . Just remember Tim , Tattoo's are somewhat permanent , but they can be placed in areas that are not a noticeable ! If you can put up with some of us characters , a simple Tattoo is nothing , . Been a while since I donated to St. Judes . I pledge the first $100.00 . BEER30
  3. I don't know if Lowell's blood pressure is going to remain stable. He called my cell looking for my wife. BEER30
  4. Hey , that sounds like a Great Idear ! I'll go one step further and pay for the Tattoos if you allow my son to do it ! My son is a tattoo artist and also does Body Piercings too . Tim , if you are scared , I think we can talk RiderDuke to hold your hand .... BEER30
  5. Becky and I arrived home around 2-ish yesterday . The eats at the steakhouse in Cherokee did not sit well with Becky . She is still feeling the effects from the buffet . Other than that , only wished we had more time to spend at the rally . Didn't get to say all the good-byes to everyone , but look on the bright side , we'll see ya sometime here real soon ! Thank to everyone there for putting up with my sorry 'ole azz ! Hit rain on the last 10 miles from home . BEER30
  6. Just called to make my reservations at the Super 8 last night , then internet crashed before I could report . Nice lady at the desk there . She stated "Dan" with the long-azz last name had already arrived and has cluttered the parking lot with Heineken bottles and has release the "Pond Monster" out into the hotel pool creating Chaos and Mayhem ! I told her he's somewhat "OK" and not hostile and no need to call upon the National Guard yet or until I arrive ! See ya all there Friday ! BEER30
  7. My brother in law's brother is a napper in Missouri . He's GOOD ! He was invited to speak at a university in Missouri on arrowheads and napping. He pulled out an arrowhead and the Professor offered him boo-coo $$'s for it . Professor thought he had a real rare genuine artifact. He told him no he would not sale ! Professor kept pestering him to buy it all day long. It got to the point where my B-N-Law grabbed the little squirt by the neck-tie , dragged him to his pickup truck and showed him a 5 gallon buckets full of hand napped arrow heads he had made. While I was in Missouri , I had him make a primitive bow and arrow set . He napped the arrowheads right before my vary eyes , then weighed them .3 arrowheads , less than a fraction of a gram apart ! As i watched him nap the arrowheads , he told me the key was fracturing the stone .Burying the stone underground in hot coals. Then striking the stone in a particular manner , using bone and antlers . Later I found out that he make surgical blades out of obsidian for some Doctors as well . If I recall , there's plenty of good flint south of Dallas/Ft.Worth area . BEER30
  8. Well plans are leaving here at the house on Friday a.m. towards Asheville unless something happens . You for one and the Muffin's know whats going on . You know we will be there , but there might be close to a million reason that I cannot attend .
  9. Just giving everyone a heads up that I will be hit and miss on the forum . Especially for those whom have been PMing me and it taking me a while to answer . It's just been so , so , so , so DARN busy with all that I have been doing . As soon as I get back to normal .....NOT ! I'll be back to pestering you all . BEER30 P.S. Grand-baby #2 baking in the oven !
  10. As if I do not have enough things to do ! Earlier this week , the BEERCART sustained some scrapes and dings . Items I had suspending from my garage ceiling fell on top of her . Rather than repairing the damaged area , I chose to repaint it . Being I had paint left over from the birth of the BEERCART , I repainted it the same color . But this time I added the clear coat to it . Yesterday , I stripped her down , repaired the dings , masked her off . Repainted her this mourning and removed all the masking tape and paper . Though the paint isn't dry yet , I see that it is a closer match to the scoot . Tomorrow night , I will replace the spoiler back onto her , add a layer of rattle can bed liner to the front of her to help with the flying debris chipping her front side . Re-insulate the cooler and paint the bell-crank linkage I installed for the auto-opening lid . I had decals made this summer put onto the BEERCART . I had to remove them to repaint and they are not reusable . Thoughts of pin stripping or maybe even some air brushing on her . Decisions ....decisions ? I'll post pictures when I get her all back together . BEER30
  11. Well , I have come to the conclusion to 2 ideas . First Deer : Mount a giant razor blade in front of the scoot . Let say I'll just slice and dice my way though it . Secondly trailer brakes: Linear actuator with bell crank linkage mounted under the BEERCART . Size 16 boot on the bottom of the linkage to drag myself to a stop . (Flinstone style) . This will also aid in lifting the BEERCART to change any flat tire ! Now that I have been pulling a trailer for some time now , I learn not to get in a hurry , unless I am following Muffinman . Though the BEERCART looks huge , it only weights 185 lbs. empty . I don't think I have hit 500 lbs. in it yet . And if I do , I'll even slow down further and watch my surroundings a whole lot better . I have noticed that I feel a lot more comfortable and more stable riding in the rain with it . The trailer helps keep me more in line when I hit standing water . Just keep in mind , slow it down and don't get in no hurry . Yes , take extra caution . Respect it , don't fear it ! BEER30
  12. In the past , I always concentrated on getting from point A to point B in the shortest route or quickest time . No potty breaks for the wife , nor did I remember what we seen , nor what beauty laid along the roadside . This past vacation was a change . We had points B, C, D , etc , but really didn't put a time schedule to it , other than regretfully knowing we only had a week to do it in . Getting to Niagara Fall , we did allow the GPS to lead us , but I planned ahead and set "via's" along the route to put us on some back roads . Coming back , we flowed like the wind . Making destination changes along the way , forcing us to zig-zag sorta speaking to get to them other destinations . Just cutting off of the main roads to who knows where , then punch in our intended destination on the GPS . Becky and I found a covered bridge , old churches and cemeteries .Roads than never had a center line painted on them . It was a spectacular site around every curve ! Not only that , we actually had time to relax , no pressure whether if we had to keep up with other speed demons in fear of being left behind , nor being ran over . Even heard the birds chirp over my Baron 4-2-4's , imagine than ! Becky had matched the Mechanic's photography quota , close to 650 photo's ! Though we were not used to this style of riding , it will not be our last . Our next trip , our only agenda will be is the keep the front wheel rolling forward and find just as many "ooh's & Ah's" as "hills and twisties" . BEER30

  14. Can't blame the kid....he has great taste like me ! Just wait till he grows up , buys a scoot and take a ride to "Twin Mountains and a Lovely Valley " . Better than any Dragon .:guitarist 2: BEER30
  15. How would your Yamaha Mechanic compare to these guys ? UPS Airlines Remember it takes a college degree to fly a plane, but only a high school diploma to fix one; a reassurance to those of us who fly routinely in our jobs. After every flight, UPS pilots fill out a form, called a 'gripe sheet,' which tells mechanics about problems with the aircraft. The mechanics corrects the problems, document their repairs on the form, and then pilots review the gripe sheets before the next flight. Never let it be said that ground crews lack a sense of humor. Here are some actual maintenance complaints submitted by UPS pilots (marked with a P) and the solutions recorded (marked with an S) by maintenance engineers. By the way,UPS is the only major airline that has never, ever, had an accident. P: Left inside main tire almost needs replacement. S: Almost replaced left inside main tire. * P: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough. S: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft. * P: Something loose in cockpit S: Something tightened in cockpit * P: Dead bugs on windshield. S: Live bugs on back-order. * P: Autopilot in altitude-hold mode produces a 200 feet per minute descent S: Cannot reproduce problem on ground. * P: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear. S: Evidence removed. * P: DME volume unbelievably loud. S: DME volume set to more believable level. * P: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick. S: That's what friction locks are for. * P: IFF inoperative in OFF mode. S: IFF always inoperative in OFF mode. * P: Suspected crack in windshield. S: Suspect you're right. * P: Number 3 engine missing. S: Engine found on right wing after brief search * P: Aircraft handles funny. S: Aircraft warned to straighten up, fly right and be serious. * P:Target radar hums. S: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics. * P: Mouse in cockpit. S: Cat installed. * And the best one for last * P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer. S: Took hammer away from the midget. BEER30
  16. Hey Don , Sorry to hear the bad news . But as TT mentioned on the leather covers , you tell me what you want and I will make . Maybe I'll make one for the other side as well to match ! :rotf: I'll even hand tool a scenery or a design ......necked women , skull & cross bones , tribal , swamp monster ? Or just text "Do Not Touch or I will twist your arms off and scratch your A&& with them " . You can still take the time to color match , or have them airbrushed . Better yet , I know of a place to get hand engraved silver trimmings ! Or we can all pitch in and get you a big "Band-Aid" to go over it . If you choose the leather idear , you know I will have to share the honor of having the BEST Damn Looking Bike (if only yours was black cherry also). But Hey your worth it ! BEER30
  17. Thanks guys for the info. It's not a problem adjusting the IC using the Ken. Cellset as I do inform the people whom I will answer the phone that it will take a few extra seconds for me to respond as I adjust the IC volume . Those whom I do not know , I do not answer and then call back after I stop somewhere . I even get caller ID on the Zumo ! I got the Ken Cellset prior to Buddy making cables , as well as having other options to hook other electronics to the scoots system such as radar detectors and other players . I can even plug in non-bluetooth phones in , if any more of them exist ! BEER30
  18. Hey Buddy , I have the Kennedy cellset . When I use the bluetooth (cell phone) , I have to turn the scoot's IC down to 5 so anyone to hear me talk . I can hear very well . Otherwise the voice heard by the other party sounds garbled to them . With your cables , "do you have to adjust the IC volume "? Now if the wife is using the phone , I do not have to adjust the IC . We both can heat well , just I cannot talk , unless I turn down IC volume . I usually have the IC volume turned up to 15 for us both to talk to one another . I have Zumo and cell phone volumes turned all the way up . It's not really a problem for me , it's just that I have to adjust the scoot's IC volume every time I use the cell or for incoming calls . Just curious if I would have to adjust the IC volume using your cables and can both driver and rider use the cell ? Does rider have ability to talk on cell as well ? BEER30
  19. The look on the face of the guy whom I left behind while pulling the BEERCART ! For once this crotch rocket was putt-putting here in town . I calming passed him until we both came to a stoplight . He pulls beside me and starts the rev his scooter . I obliged him on the green and left him sniveling in his tracks . BEER30
  20. Zeus's new "POOPER SCOOPER" ! BEER30
  21. Still taking orders and same guidelines are still in effect . I can only make them when time allows me . I'll be ordering more materials perhaps this coming week . I'm trying to get other projects completed as well as setting up a sewing machine and cutting table at the home front . Just keep bugging me from time to time until I get them done . BEER30
  22. Yeah , none of the group brought me a BEER , so I bought Freebird and son , Becky and myself some beverages , saw the CAN side of the falls and packed up and left . I even drank a Heineken for Dan's sake ! Where's the Canadian hospitality , had to buy my own beer and no one met me with any !!!!!! What a shame .....oh what a shame :stickpoke:. No Becky and I had a lot of POI's to see on our vacation . We met a fine group at the Falls, even though Dr. Nemo and ourselves where the first to arrive , then Freebird . They were late ! We had a nice ride along the Canadian side from the Peace River bridge to the Falls .Took the tour and had a beer . Met some new members and seen some familiar faces . And Baxter did not even bring his girl friend again !!! Nor any pictures . Found a covered bridge in PA , some twisties , and some beautiful back roads . From Niagara Falls , we maybe only hit 30 miles of Interstate , all the rest was back roads . Stopped in Ridgeway , PA at a wood carving shop and was informed about the rally . Never been to Gettysburg , so we came here . Arrived where the vendors were setting up , talked a bit , got a room , met a RSV owner , asked him to join , did a 5 minute wash on the scoot and now drinking a cold one explaining what I have done today to you 86er ! Becky and I are just flowing with the wind ...sorta speaking . After tomorrow , maybe back up to NY and back to the start of Skyline Dr. with a few other stops in between . Oh by the way 86er , picked up a sticker for you . Need your address to send to you ! BEER30
  23. BEER24/7 and I met 2 RSV owners today in our travels . I directed them to our site as well . We are in now Gettysburg PA at the Bike Rally which begins tomorrow . If any member is in the Gettysburg area and wishes to get together , we will be at the rally . My phone # is listed in the VR member's list . BEER30
  24. I'm safe as safe can be . Only have to watch my back with Becky right now !:rotfl: Going to try to hook up with the VR group tomorrow if possible . BEER30
  25. Just a note to say , BEER24/7 and I made it to Niagara Falls . We left on 17 and took mostly back roads when possible . Only had one Dumb A$$ cager whom passed me in a "no passing" lane to force an oncoming cage and myself onto the shoulder . Then the idiot pulled over along the way , then got behind us again , only to do the same D-Azz thing again . Then I watched him do it on 2 more occasions on other cagers . Wished I had my pistol with me , so I could eventually save some innocent life ahead of time , be fore he kills someone . BEER30
