Well we are on a roll now. Last Saturday the lazy half of my heart restarted so I am on 6 days and counting now.:dancefool: This is the longest stretch of running on all 4 chambers since September when this all started. Since Sept there was a one day run, and a 4 day run and now this run. Hoping it will just stay running this time.

A great beginning to a great story. Keep it coming for us snow bound invalids. -
Looking forward to it, AGAIN.....

Another purdy picture. I can take no responsibility for that bullet hole in the screen either. All we know about the cold is that it is someone up in Canada that keeps leaving the back door open and letting all of the cold air fall out to the south. We are not sure who it is yet. But we are narrowing it down. If we can get those Canadians to keep the everlovin door shut it would stay a lot warmer around here.

The cold ain't my fault, its those silly Canadians that were born in a barn and keep leaving the back door open. If they would leave that door closed it would be much nicer around here. When I went up to the U.P. for deer hunting it was sub zero temps already, I shut the door and blocked it up best I could and it stayed warm all thru December. BUT they must have finally dug out the door and left it open AGAIN. Its all the fault of those Canadians I tell ya EH!

Start at the very beginning, it is a very good place to start....... Get your volt meter ready. connect the black lead to battery negative. Prepare the red lead with a very sharp point or attach a pin or needle. All readings should be very close to your 12.6V that you have at the battery. Use the pin or needle to poke thru the wire insulation to check voltages. At the dimmer switch there are 3 wires, the green is the low beam. Check power. Follow that wire to a 3 pin connector, the green on both sides of that connector should be 12 V. follow to the CPU, check voltage at the CPU green wire. Coming out of the CPU it is now the green/red wire, 12v. at CPU. Check the green/red wire at the headlight bulb for 12v Check the green/red wire at both sides of the RLU connector for 12v. This should keep you occupied for a while and very likely narrow down the issue.

Forward Left Engine Guard or Crash Bar.
Flyinfool replied to samklr650's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Why from Carbon One of course.......... Go to the Classifieds tab at the top of the screen. Then to Member Vendors > Carbon One > Carbon One Crash Bar Braces http://www.venturerider.org/forum/photopost/showproduct.php?product=12&title=carbon-one-crash-bar-braces&cat=15 -
With all of the oil cleanup methods described above it must be stressed to also replace the oil filter with each of the changes. These cleaning methods will not only get the water contaminated oil out of the engine, but will also clean out any sludge that may be inside of the engine. these chunks of STUFF will fill the filter pretty quick, you sure do not want to be driving with a plugged oil filter. If it were me, any time I have the heads off of anything, it gets a valve job too. Have the shop check the heads for flatness to see if they are warped. Check the deck on the block to see if it is warped. If the block and heads are warped, you might be cheaper off with a low miles used engine.

It can be done with some pirating software, But YouTube intentionally made it difficult to do so that it is hard to steal there content and replay it without them getting paid by the advertisers.

Geeez Bob Maybe it is a good thing that you did not make it into my basement while you were here....... Could have been dangerous.........
-
I sure hope to make it on the bike. Worst case I may have to cage it.

The cowboys are going to get Packed up and sent back home for the winter. I wanted the Lions to win so that the lions could go and beat Seattle and then come to Green Bay for the NFC Championship game. As it is Carolina will get to come to Green Bay and soak in the near zero temps.

What bulbs did you get? Where they cheepos? I have not heard of this issue before. I would start by testing the bulb socket with a volt meter to see if the polarity is actually reversed, I'm betting its not. I would the n make up some jumper wires and test the bulb direct to the battery to verify the bulb function and polarity. If the bulb is reversed polarity I would contact the place you got them from to see if the can be exchanged for good bulbs. Trying to rewire the bike to make reversed bulbs work will open a whole new can of worms, it is not going to be as simple as switching a couple of wires.

This aint really the place for an aircraft debate, I would love to discuss airplanes with you in person some time, maybe at Dons MD. I bet we end up almost agreeing. I totally do not understand your correlation of yoke position, CG, and death trap. Most (not all) aircraft, certified or non certified, have the yoke/stick well in front of the CG.

Dingys getting a new milling machine............. It was close but the TES nearly got to my ICC wen I saw such a deal on a new TIG welder last month. A Miller Dynasty 180 for only $800, with extra consumables. I fear that there may be signs of Mature Stage creeping in since I was able to be reasoned out of it by a stack of medical bills. Once one hits the Mature Stage all that is left is the end.

I got my info from the FAA regs (FAR) Part 103.1, look it up in your FAR/AIM book. The CGS Hawk Ultra does meet the specs for ultralight that I mentioned, the rest of the CGS Hawk line does not meet the legal definition of an ultralight and are not legal ultralights. The Quad City Challenger also has one specific version that is FAR 103 legal and meets the requirements that I mentioned. There are many aircraft advertized and sold as ultralights that do not meet the FAA definition of an ultralight. Both of these are single seat and under 254 lbs, Neither of these are even close to the Aeromobile.
-
Not by USA standards. AN ultralight must be; single occupant. Stall speed under 25 MPH. top speed under 60 mph. weight under 254 lbs. max fuel capacity 5 gallons. They do not give a weight in the specs, this might qualify under the lite sport aircraft rules, which are a lot different than an ultralight. Either way I have my pilots license. Even though there is no way I can afford one, I want one.
