You should probably know the state laws that may allow for exceptions for police regarding some traffic laws before bad mouthing them. Just saying.

You are correct regarding two abreast at a stop light. The law deals with two abreast while riding/moving. I've rarely ever seen this enforced and the biggest penalty I think that was given out was $100. But still it's a reckless driving charge which of course requires an appearance. I've never enforced it and I also never ride side by side with anyone. I want the extra space to myself in the event of an emergency. Why this such a big deal escapes me although I can understand the disbelief ever the penalty. I personally would like to see it taken out of reckless driving and made to be just a traffic violation.

I talked to my Mom yesterday and she lives outside of Tampa. She said it was 75. That's cold? We were down to 12 for two of the last three nights. Although it was a balmy 33 last night.

GigaWhiskey, I don't think anyone is deriding you for it. What I see is a posting that may encourage other young people to try and emulate. I see him risking dozens if not hundreds of people with stunts like these. I sometimes wish there wasn't a medium such as the internet where things like this would never be shown.

I used to play on the beach in Jacksonville, Fla. and quite often we'd hear the sonic boom. Quite intimidating when you first hear them.

Has anyone here had their RSV repainted just for the heck of it? I've never cared much for the solid white but I couldn't pass up the deal I got on it. I was seriously considering selling the 04 and buying an 08 just for the color but the 08 looks just like the 04, with the color difference of course. Anyone ever do this, were you happy with the change and was it overly expensive?

Why yes it is. Never thought of that. And the air I used was from a very small portable air pump. I've used it before without problems but for some reason it just pumped up fast obviously damaging it. I am referring to the air bladder/shock on the bottom of the bike and not the actual rear shock. Maybe I'm confusing the right terminology here.

Just wondering if anyone has ever replaced the rear air shock on a RSV? I must have damaged mine putting air in today as it now leaks out. It's amazing how fast it will fill up from 20 to 100 lbs of air. Also, any ideas where to get one at a reasonable cost? Thanks

I hope you've read Redneck's response before going this route. You may find the other dealers have the same policy. What Redneck says make sense. We may not like it but we should at least respect it.

NH residents. The wife and I are seriously considering moving to NH in a year or two when I retire. I've been to Portsmouth two times now and really liked the place but housing seems pretty high there. I'd like to be some great riding roads and the wife wants to either be on or near water and hopefully we can buy a boat. I've been advised to stay near the coast and in southern NH to avoid most of the mountain snows. I'd like to be within a hour of a decent size airport (Boston or Manchester?) to take trips to see the kids and grandkids. I'll also need to start my 2nd career so I'd need to be close enough to towns/cities where jobs are available. Any advice would be appreciated. Good, bad or indifferent.

This happened last night in my area. This was an e-mail sent out department wide as an FYI type thing. I've had to delete out the location for obvious reasons. Just another reminder for us all to be extremely alert at ALL times. "Fatal Crash 07-******: Rt. 28 ************ Rd. A van traveling north on Rt. 28 attempted to pass two vehicles in front of it utilizing the south bound lane. A motorcycle which was traveling south on Rt. 28 was struck by the van. Officer ********** from CIU responded and handled the crash. Refer to Officer ********** rundown for further information." -
Some great cars back then although I didn't start driving until the early 70's. My first car cost me $200. A 65 Ford Falcon. That engine was so easy to work on. I could almost crawl into the engine compartment it had so much room.

Maybe not but I've been harrassed by someone who found information about me on a discussion board I once visited. After that I started limiting my info I released. Personal preference and it should not bother you.

Not exactly true. Cop for 28 years here. The truck driver, or anyone for that matter, can NOT slam on their brakes without justification. Doing so at minimum is reckless driving in VA. with more serious charges possible if you cause injuries.

Don't take what he posted so personal. Maybe the officer should have allowed more room between him and the truck but the truck should NOT have slammed on the brakes.

Okay. This is sure to draw several opinions but I'd be happy to read them. I'd like to outfit my 04 RSV with new pipes and I'm not sure which to buy. I'd like a little more of a throaty sound without it sounding obnoxious. In other words I don't want people (especially my neighbors) to look at me when I drive by and bad mouth me like I bad mouth others with loud pipes. I saw a recent discussion on here about the Khrome Werks (sp?) but was wondering about what others have installed and liked. Thanks in advance Wayne
