The least expensive one on eBay is over $40 shipped... -
It's been that way since 2008. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23884566/ http://firstaid.about.com/od/cpr/a/07_Y_no_breaths.htm

Well shoot. I thought the 83 was the same engine as a max. Im looking to Vmax cams this winter but Im not wanting to spend $250 for a set of cams.
-
Will camshafts out of an 83 fit in a 99? Are 83 camshafts the same as Vmax? Now that Ive rolled 100,000 miles on my 99, I'd like to add a little pick me up to it.

My last 3 Yamahas have left me sitting on the side of the road.

Very nice. I like the tank and I think a nice big pocket on it would be great. -
99 model, It may be the antenna finally giving up. But you did mention a NEW helmet setup and that if you talk louder that they can hear you better. You might just need to adjust where the microphone is.

My apologies, I stand corrected. Another feature I was not aware of.

They were sued because they couldn't back up their claims of "preventing ID theft", false advertising. No one can prevent it but they do take some steps to try and prevent it. I had LifeLock up until earlier this year. They do nothing that a person cannot do on their own. It seemed silly to pay a company $100/yr to do something that I could do for free.

Speedometer calibration
flb_78 replied to ajradrdad's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Yes, changing the rear tire would fix the speedometer but there's not many options that will fit the RSV/RSTD so you're stuck with using a SpeedoHealer to fix it. Mine was around 8% off if I remember correctly.- 5 replies

2cd gen rear wheel assy

Serious? Dang, if I knew you were just going to toss em, I would have taken them. -
Facebook can only give out the information one puts in it. Ive seen people's full names, addresses, phone numbers, kid's names, where the kids go to school, where they're going on vacation, and when they'll be gone. But facebook is no more dangerous than myspace or any other social networking site or even a forum such as this. How many people have their addresses in their profile with their telephone numbers just on this board and the information here isn't restricted to only your "friends". Any member has access to that. One has to be careful what information they divulge on the interwebs, sometimes it can come back to haunt you. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc4/hs385.snc4/44791_150255928331601_100000415844787_357240_2337520_n.jpg

Does it have bearings, brake rotor, and the drive pin hub in it? Is there a tire on it? I have bought a couple complete assemblies with a tire on it for around $175 shipped off ebay. -
I don't like circuit breakers. I've seen too many melted wires to trust them on an important circuit. They don't pop at their specified amperage. They have to get hot first and sometimes that can take a while. I've also seen Harbor Freight and Chinese fuses melt a wiring harness because they do not pop. Instead the "fuse" melts slowly. Nothing but Bussman Fuses for me. Maybe the aircraft ones pop at the specified amperage. I don't know, I've never seen or used them.

1996 Tour Classic Final drive
flb_78 replied to Budgetguy's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
FJR1300 final drive will work as well without having to deal with the rear shock stud. The speed sensor hole will still need machined into though. Plus, FJR finals are cheaper on eBay than the Vmax finals. -
I think you're going to hard pressed to find someone who is looking for a Suzuki X90 and you'd probably be better off selling it outright and combining that with your cash to buy one.

Not quite... Texas law ( The Motorists Protection Act ) allows people to carry a CONCEALED handgun in their vehicle. There are no laws in Texas on the carrying of long guns. http://www.texaschlforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=7834

Refusing to take a breathalyzer in Texas is an automatic 180 day suspension of a driver's license.

The Stryker isn't a new engine, it's the 1300 out of the Vstar.

Yessir, that Super Tenere looks like a mean machine. In 3 or 4 years, the used ones should be very reasonable priced.

My XJ1100 had linked brakes. I liked them for everyday riding. It was nice only having to use the foot pedal to slow the bike down, but for low speed maneuvers and slick conditions, it sucked. I dumped it a couple times in slick conditions because the front tire would slide.
