Rotella T6 is available in 5w40 Rotella T is available in 15w40 and is not a synthetic oil.
  3. I just put them together today and slapped them in the trees. Tomorrow I'll bolt all the tupperware back on and figure out where the wires aren't supposed to go.
  4. Loctite 38657 High Flex Gasket Maker. This is some good stuff. Install your o-rings and then put a thin bead of this around the o-ring.l http://www.jbtoolsales.com/media/ecom/prodlg/LCT-38657.jpg
  5. Mr. Myers came to my rescue by fabbing up a seal driver for 43mm forks. This driver will be passed around to other members who want to work on 2nd gen forks. 1 side drives in the bushing and seal, the other side drives in the dust seal. Ruffy is first on the list. *edited for mor guder picshures.
  6. I wasn't aware that this particular fastener was threaded into rubber.
  7. You need an impact driver set. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00999001000P?sid=IDx20070921x00003a&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=00999001000P http://s.shld.net/is/image/Sears/00999001000?hei=248&wid=248&op_sharpen=1&resMode=sharp&op_usm=0.9,0.5,0,0
  8. I bet their rates are going to go up, 75% of their business is in Japan.
  9. My last one came from ebay.
  10. If your near a Harley dealer, you could probably pick up a set of take off's from a touring model. They're not any louder than stock, just a different tone. You'll have to fab up some mounting brackets for them.
  11. The leg measures 43.02mm diameter. The tool measures 42.09mm, 90 degrees from the cuts.
  12. It's a picture of the tool not quite fitting on the fork.
  13. Sorry about that. I forgot to provide the reference. http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photos/2007models/2007models-Yamaha-RoadlinerS.htm And right on Star's site. http://search.starmotorcycles.com/?all=u1&i=1&pa=star&q=ceramic&u1=q
  14. I don't know about Kawasaki, but Yamaha puts a nikasil or ceramic coating on the cylinders. I have a set of jugs off a Roadstar with 40,000+ miles on it and there is no ring ridge and the cross hatching is still visible.
  15. I might be in Nicholasville tomorrow applying for a job. Depends on if I go to Campbellsville to check on one.
  16. The CB750 Nighthawk is a fine machine. The last of the UJMs.
  17. The seal is 54mm O.D., 42mm I.D., and 11mm thick. The fork leg is 43mm.
  18. I believe they are. I'll have to check.
  19. Ok, a little searching answered the question. If you're willing to drop down a size to a 130/90-16, I think this would work. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/2/29/393/14941/ITEM/Duro-HF-904-Median-Dual-Sport-Rear-Tire.aspx
  20. What size tire does a 1st gen run? 140/90-16?
  21. What did you use to drive in the bushing and seal? I can't find a PVC pipe the proper size and I'd hate to sink $40+ into a tool that I'm only going to use once.
  22. I ended up securing my chrome piece with velcro.
  23. Holy Threadnecromongering!! 3 years old!! anywho... It doesn't matter as long as the cables are going to proper radios. The CB antenna cable should go to the box mounted under the trunk.
