93 octane required?
Kregerdoodle replied to YoungBlood's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Help me here...... seems that a fuel pump that is designed to pump fuel, should last the same regardless of the octain level of that fuel. I do not know what chemicals are changed or added to increase the octain level in fuel, but it seems to me that the ethinol in our fuels would be more likely to kill a fuel pump then the octain... I really dn`t know, just throwing this out there... -

Story of how steve and hi 83' VR known as "Tent Peg"
Kregerdoodle replied to massey130's topic in Watering Hole
I s`pose we have had the green beast about 2 years now, I had a 2005 Shadow Areo at the time, bought it new right off the show room floor, I really did like that bike, but Janet ( Wife ) was only good on the back of it for around 2 miles before she started doing the Butt shift.. so one day while at work, working very hard too, I might add, I was surfing Ebay and found a this bike that had these great looking seats on it, I`m thinking, man now these seats are what we need for the Areo, so I email her the link so that she can look at the seats on this bike. Well, when I got home, she asked me if I had bid on the bike??? well no, I said, I just sent the link so that you could see the seats. Well she says, that if you want them you better bid on it cause it ends in about an hour. Well, I knew nada about the Venture, but I liked the seats, so I tell her that if she wants to bid on it, to wait till there are only a few min. left and throw a number at it, as no body has bid on it. well she could wait and sent a bid, she asked me what the max I would pay for it was and I told her not to go over $8500.00 so with a few min. left she bids 8400.00, the guy emails her,and says if you really want it, the reserve is 8500.00 and its yours. So it is ours now, the bike is a `01 and had 2700 miles on it when I got it. It has the wicked whine, and am thinking the old guy that owned it thought it was all messed up. Any way, that is how we ended up here with the Green Beast, and I might add that we are very happy with the bike, whine and all, and Janet loves the seats.. -
Frogg Toggs, but have only wore them 2 times...I wish they packed up smaller then they do..

If you rode it like your V twin, it is a dog.... REV that puppy out, it will plant your butt in the seat...Not sure of 1/4 ml time but if you ride it like you stole it you will be happy, It will go 120+- at hiway speed,65-70 and you want to pass, drop it in 4th and hammer it. remember 5th is over drive...Ride his again and get into it. -
