  1. Ya even a first gen can out run those harleystars.
  2. Its just taking its revenge for all those off color comments you have made in the last couple of years.:rotf::rotf:
  3. It's really not that uncommon to run across a dumb a$$ like you described.:stirthepot:
  4. I hope you are not serious there dude cause if you are you have got major mental problems.
  5. Now that you have a second gen you will be able to ride more miles.
  6. The way you get in front of a first gen is you ride around to the other side of the shade tree that they are broke down under.
  7. I will have to agree with you frog man first gens do rule. They rule there owners the first rule is you can't ride today because I don't want to start.the second rule if they happen to start they tell you you can't go that far because there tired and there parts will start falling off. Third, rule you are not taking me out in public where people keep calling me an antique goldwing wana be. forth rule you are not going riding with those second gens it hurts too much to try to keep up that constant spuring hurts. and on and on.:rotf:
  8. I saw that a year or two ago but haven't seen anymore about it. This is not new technology the space shuttle has been using fuel cells for electricity for 20 years. I believe this is the most promising alternative fuel sources I have seen. Only time will tell.
  9. If I give out too much information a whole herd of first gens might show up and ruin my reputation.:rotf:
  10. Well in that case I guess I can let you slide this time.
  11. I've seen a couple of small hover craft on ebay pretty cheap you may try there.
  12. How many have you made on that hot rod honda?
  13. I think you are going to fit in here very well. Welcome aboard.:rotf::rotf:
  14. Not only that but I seriously doubt anybody has complete maintenance records. Do you know how many stone tablets that would take? Then he wants all systems to work 100% there hasn't been one of those sense fred flinston was a kid. He doesn't want a first gen he's just broke and dreaming.:rotf::rotf:
  15. Well its not surprising that even canadians have figured out this is the best site on the web. Even a cave man can figure that out so its not too far a stretch that canadians can figure it out as well.:rotf:
  16. Yes you do need to call General squidly sir.
  17. 1300 miles in 21 hours from blairsville Ga to odessa tx. A first gen chased me 800 miles then craped out.
  18. Thank you those are my thoughts exactly.
  19. There is no doubt in my mind that you old first gen guys could have a hard time keeping up with the speed of an old top. Where the heck have you been hiding anyway?
  20. Its just a first gen heck there have been pictures of them around sense tin types were high tech.
  21. :rotf::rotf::rotf:That was hilarious I really got a big kick when he said his wife was going to kick the cops a$$.:rotf::rotf:
  22. I'm not hiding from anyone if they want to find me they can just call the number I will give them directions.
  23. I have seen quit a few bikes with them and they do get your attention and thats what they are intended to do. I can see where they could be mistaken for an emergency vehicle or even a turn signal if you were not paying much attention in the first place. I don't have one and don't intend to get one. I have people pull out in front of me all the time weather I'm on the bike in a pickup or a big truck. They will make eye contact with me then pull out it is mostly from lack of respect for other people. A lot of people don't think of anybody but themselves and don't care if you have to slam on your brake as long as they get in front of you so they can get where they are going asap. Accidents happen every day from bad judgment lack of experience and senseless detractions. I have no doubt that Gary and Leslie's accident was caused by an inexperienced driver who did not devote all her attention to what she was doing.
  24. I see this situation as an opportunity not just an unfortunate inconvenience. your son has the opportunity to learn several very valuable lessons that will carry him farther than a college degree. He should do what ever research is necessary to follow this through and make them give him his due credit. I would give him all the suggestions I could and stay out of it myself as much as possible. having the ability to follow through with this and demand the credit and get it will give him confidence in his ability to stand up for his rights and not let people or institutions walk on him. I would also do all I could to let him know he should not in any way try to get revenge on his roommate because it will hurt him more than he can ever hurt the roommate. good luck
