1. Has anyone found a good tank bag/large bib with a map pocket (clear plastic cover) on top. For an RSTD. I'm avoiding getting a GPS, which probably says I'm old fashioned.
2. I had the Butler seat mod done on my seat and cannot seem to get used to it. I'm sure it's just me ,since ALOT of other people LOVE the mod!! So ...I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in trading seats??Mine's a pillow top off an '08 in perfect condition. I would preffer to trade w/someone close enogh to meet somewhere, swap seats, grab lunch and head home...
3. hi I would like someone with 86-93 royale to measure the top whip on factory antenna (mine a 86, broke) need length from top of ball to top of load, point of where whip slides in,above set screw. I have new stock, right dia. but way to long. have to get close to set swr's. THANKS, BILL
4. Hi everyone For some reason unknown to me, I seem to have lost my antenna tip, that is the part that is up from the black device on the antenna. It seems to have affected my cb because I can no longer hear anything on it. The allen screw was stripped while I was losing it. Could I just replace the top part with a small whip antenna that are sold at auto parts or does it need to be OEM? Don
5. I had some work that needed done around the house Saturday. So I went for a ride. I was out for around nine hours and put on maybe 400 miles. Here are a few pictures I took along the way. The first place is called Hanging Rock. It is located on the Wabash River near Salamonie Reservoir in northern IN. This lone chunk of rock juts up out of the ground almost 100' where the rest of the landscape around it is pretty flat. This unusual (for northern IN) geological feature is known all over the world. It's only a few feet from the road, but when the leaves are out on the trees, it's completely hidden from view. Amazingly, it's not hard to climb to the top of it. The next two pictures are from the top looking out at the river, one to the east and the other to the west. The next two pictures are the covered bridge in Roann, IN. It's a dirty little town, not much to look at. But this bridge is in excellent shape. It's open to traffic, but the main road has been routed around it with a modern bridge, which is where I took these. As for the house project work, well, we'll see what happens next Saturday.
6. thought that yall would like to see how my trailer came out .. did not want it to look normal so i decided to make it into a space ship.. kinda cool huh... took a old car top carrier and make it work perfect for me .. here are some pics
7. I lost the rear caliper cover, the plastic one that snaps into the top of the caliper. Does anyone have a spare they dont need anymore? Second gen......Thanks
8. I bought the entire front end off of an 86 this past winter to install on my 83 so as to get the better brakes and damping system. Here is my problem. This set up came without the top triple tree. I was trying to decide what would be the easiest way to install these, just the tubes and use my present trees or use the lower tree that is now on the forks and use my top tree. I checked part numbers and the lower tree numbers are the same but the top is different. The tubes are also of different numbers. Would those of you who have switched these front ends like to share your experience in this modification. Did you use your old trees or the later or just how did you come up with a solution? Thanks mucho in advance. Dick

10. Hello everyone, Well the weather is finally breaking and we are getting our bikes ready for some summer riding fun. This year i was looking to install a pair of top saddle bag rails on the Venture, but I don't know where to purchase them! Would someone please direct me to a sight I could purchase from. My wife bought a pair from e-bay, but they must be for a Tour Delux cause they don't line up, or maybe i just don't know how to install them. Any information would be a big help! Thanks and have a safe summer!

13. Rode my bike and noticed a pretty good oil leak on the left side. Appears to be coming from up around top on the motor, under gas tank, right around or above the rubber housing by the carbs. I haven't pulled the tank to see if I can see anything else. Has anyone had this problem that could give me some clues on what and how to look for this leak? Thanks in advance. Update: Finally had a chance to run the leak down. It appears to be gasoline rather than oil. Right under the air filter box there appears to be a rubber joint with a clamp on it that connects from the bottom of the air box to the top of the carb. ( I think) The clamp is set at the top of the boot, right below the air box, and will not tighten up. If I move it to the bottom of the boot, at what appears to be the top of the carb, I can tighten it up better but there is still a leak at the very bottom of the air box. The bike runs o.k. at 70 MPH. If I push it up to 85 MPH it will blow blue smoke until I take it back to 70 MPH.
14. Well we did our February ride dedicated to our great northern friends. This will now be an annual event to help out those who are snowbound and need to know that YES,we are riding on your behalf! It is the LEAST I can do for our friends. We had a FANTASTIC ride and to my surprise the first night I was on the street corner in Marathon,Texas looked up and here comes Ponch and Lil Bit riding in from Tomball,Texas 601 miles...He will update on his wild experience so I will not get into that any farther but it was a shocker to see that White RSV coming into town!Anyway our weather was great except one day we had a little West Texas sand storm but in tradition we put cloths over our faces and braved the elements. Here are a few pictures, enjoy and trust me,we raised a few margaritas for all of our VentureRider friends and shed quite a few tears for you guys....Tom Pics as follows Kerrville Texas and theier Texas Swimming pool On Top of a Sister Pecos River (4 Pics) Roy Beans cafe Texas Toilet Paper Lil Bit,Ponch and Me Santa Elena Canyon,Big Bend (2 pics) Top of river rd,Hwy 170 out of Bib Bend (5 Pics OH Yes, And for our Stratoliner/Roadliner friends and Owners a picture of my friends Roadliner with a Dragonfly fairing Installed on it..I think it looks great!

17. Hello........... I have had my new ride for about 3 days now, posted a question about bogging down and with the help a few of you was able to determine the diaphrams have some holes in them. I have them out. How does a person take the diaphram portion off of the slide? Where the diaphram hooks onto the slide there is what looks like a plastic washer on top and underneath. Does it unscrew? I can get it to twist a little but do not see it coming off very easily. Anybody have an idea how this is done? Thanks Bnkrbill
18. The last couple days I've noticed that I can't go "back" to a forum... neither the mouse or the "alt back arrow" work under Netscape...??? I have to scroll to the top of the page and click on the directory tree. Strange that the "back button" works fine if I click on one of the "selected" member pictures at the top of the main forum... It works fine with IE but I tend to stay away from that...
19. I don't care to read every thread so I personally would like to see a full tool bar on the bottom of the pages, allowing me to go "home" or the "forum list" without having to scroll back to the top. If there's enough interest and it is possible, could this be possible?
20. I purchased one of the little bells to go on a bike and it has come apart up at the top. Nothing left but the wire and the little ringer part. Has anyone had this to happen. These little things were expensive if I remember. I haven't hit anything with it it just came apart. Are they warrantied?
21. Was at the big motorcycle show yesterday and came across this... http://www.tent-trailer.com/ Made right here in British Columbia! Also got to check out the new Kaw Voyager. I gotta admit, I do like it although, as many of you have noticed, the plastics, especially the side bags, seemed quite flimsy. When the top lid was open, the entire bag would flex very easily and it seemed as though it wouldn't take much to break the bag. Sticker price was $20,989.00
22. 06 ..1300venture midnight can you get seat that is lowerd to help with being to top heavy any ideas.. any buddy.. Ken..
23. Does anyone have the top rail gaurds for the side bags? Are they worth the money? Where is the best place to get them?
24. Apples and Wine Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. Most men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they sometimes take the apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy. The apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they'reamazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who is brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree. Now Men.... Men are like a fine wine. They begin as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the living daylights out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.
25. Well, I was in Woodland Park, CO a couple of weeks back getting my youngest nephew married off (I got to be the holder of the shotgun). While there, On top of seeing the sights, I shot ColoNavy a couple of PM's and did a little sight seeing. This of course involved seing a few of our favorite sights, primarily the summitt of Pike's Peak. We drove the Dodge up to the top. It was arond 9:00 AM up there when we pulled in. The air temp was 34 degrees according to my truck's computer. The chill index was 19. Nice, brisk wind blowing out of the south. We did our usual lookin' around the top, snappin' pictures as we went. Then we came back around to the sign by the summitt house, the one with the name of the mountain and the elevation. Now everyone has their picture taken in front of the sign, it's expected. I remembered that I just happened to have one of my tubas in the back of the truck, momma had the camera. I also happened to have a Kelly mouthpiece in the horn, it's made of Lexan, that means it won't stick to moist lips in freezing temps. So I grabbed the horn and hollered at the wife and this is the result. http://i38.tinypic.com/2072455.jpg
