Have 2009 RSV with paint problems on the gas tank and fender. It is two toned red & black. It looks like you have rock chips in the paint, but paint was popping off from underneath on red only. Called Yahama to see if they were having a paint problem on the 09s of course they said no. They said to take it to the dealer that you bought it from. So I did. They said they would order me a new gas tank to replace the old one. Last Monday I got the new tank. Took them a day to get the new gas tank on. Now they have ordered the front fender. Don't know when it will get here. They didn't put the badges on the tank. I kind of like it without them. If you have any paint looking problems don't be surprised because it is popping off from underneath the paint. Especially on the newer bikes. Looked like it had the measels. LOL It looks good now. hello people got a code of E4 on the computer, book says something about solenoid output? did the whole wire check and jumping to insure the compressor is working and the valves and yes all clicking and working,but there is a relay underneath headlight how do you check that or would that even be my problem sure could use help thanks

New-to-me '07 RSV. I can see one horn down on the right side behind the RH floorboard. I can hear the other one but have not been able to see it. It's down somewhere in front of the engine? Maybe I'll have to lie down on the floor to see it from underneath? Now I know why so many posts about replacing the stock horns. A decent bell might be louder!

I found a set of the Harley RK mufflers in a box in my garage yesterday. They're a set I bought in 2007 for my Venture (which I no longer have). They have the rear baffle removed and sound good on a Venture - they're medium-loud (probably about a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being loudest). The pipes are in good shape, but do have a few minor scratches that are not really noticable unless you get down and look at them. There are a couple of scruff marks on the underneath side, but these don't show when mounted on the bike. Anyways, I'll let them go for $45 including shipping. Hello........... I have had my new ride for about 3 days now, posted a question about bogging down and with the help a few of you was able to determine the diaphrams have some holes in them. I have them out. How does a person take the diaphram portion off of the slide? Where the diaphram hooks onto the slide there is what looks like a plastic washer on top and underneath. Does it unscrew? I can get it to twist a little but do not see it coming off very easily. Anybody have an idea how this is done? Thanks Bnkrbill -
While working on the bike I noticed a bolt missing. It is the lower of the two bolts that hold on the bracket for the rear brake light switch. It can be seen by either looking between the floor board and the frame, or by looking up from underneath. I have a picture of each, if that helps. Can someone tell me what size bolt goes in there? I tried looking in the shop manual, without much luck. Perhaps it is the same size bolt as the upper one.(?)

When I had the fairing off fixing broken areas I found that the CB/Air ride panel mount system was broken. What I am trying to describe is on the underneath side of the panel there are 6 supports that the mounting screws go thru. These supports were broken or cracked and would not support the panel properly. I went to a local lumber chain store and got a 3/4" dowel rod. I then drilled a hole about 2" deep centered on the end. Then I cut 6 pieces 5/16" long. Now I had 6 individual pieces 5/16" long with a hole thru the center. The 2 that are at the rear of the panel will have to have one side trimmed off because the panel narrows at that end and 3/4" is to wide to fit. Then I used a product called Automotive Amazing Goop which can be bought at Walmart for $3 and change to glue the wood pieces to the underneath side of the panel. Don H.
