Hope for info. My 05 is yet to have the trunck top rack or the rear factory available spoiler with tail light. Can both these go on ? or if one is installed, you can't put the other on? My concern is safety and being seen at night. Comments?

Trip to Squidly is all set up. Will catch a flight at 6AM in the morning to Detroit, spend the night at the Squids and leave early Thur. morning on my way home with a 1st gen. The plan is to go down I-75 to Knoxville Tn and on to Asheville, hope to be there early Thur. evening to visit with the rally crew, for a night and then home frid. morning. Don't know were I am staying Thur. night yet. If anyone is going that day in this direction call and maybe we can meet up. My # is 985-516-1308. Roadkill I sent you a PM and it is still unread.

just wanted to throw this out there for a member opinion. while at the hub yesterday i checked out the meeting hall and they have a big stage. the committee has talked about having entertainment one night. what does everyone think of this and what kind would you want, a band, karaoki, d.j., or what? need a little output on this to put before the committee. bill

I have always thought the Venture Royales were fugly bikes. But as time changes so do likes and dislikes.... I purchased one off ebay. I've leaving tomorrow night heading for PA to pick it up. We'll stop in VA to spend the night with family and then finish the trip Friday morning. Hopefully all transactions will be finished by 1 pm and then head back to VA. Caging it up and mama will follow me back in the truck. Hopefully everything will go well. I want to see if this 1st Gen is everything those who ride them say it is. I shall find out!!!! I'm purty excited and just wanted to share it with my family here.... JUST RIDE! Semper Fi, Jerry

This true story woke me up in a hurry the other night. (not that I was sleepy but geesus!!) I was riding down the back road late one night behind our air base, and after a quick scan to the front I glanced over to the left side to see if anything was flying etc.. whew I looked out to the front again, I noticed a golden glow to my right side.. eh?? What's that then? A freaking deer was running alongside the bike on the shoulder, holding speed with me and not looking overly stressed out or anything.. I'm not sure how long we were running alongside each other like that but I suddenly woke up realizing that this animal could veer to the left, cut across and we'd both be arse over tea kettle.. So I don't know why I did it, but I reach out with my right foot and gently pushed the deer into the ditch where it then ran off into the woods lol.. Give me a break.. I slowed the bike down so I could pull over for a stop and a car pulled up beside me.. three people rolled out of the car, laughing so hard they could barely walk, clutching their sides and doing the "I can't hold it in" walk.. Apparently from behind, the whole scene was ridiculously funny.. they said they saw the deer jump out of the ditch as I went by and saw the car so tried to run up the road instead of across it.. (where the fences are) but because I was slowing down to look to the left the deer caught up to me and most likely found itself between a rock and a hard place.. But it was the gentle nudge into the woods that they found the funniest... And how was YOUR ride last night?!?!

Well wifey had her hip replacement yesterday. Doc said everthing looks real good. So far she isnt in too much pain....so far. Today they are gonna get her up and walking. Guess we will see how that goes. The staff where she is at has been great. The only thing she was worried about was that she had to have a spinal. She said it wasnt too bad. But shes an animal..."Not too bad" for her would drop most folks. LOL. I stayed the night with her and just ran home to shower and feed the dogs. Now I gotta strap the walker ( which she doesnt like HAHHA) to the back of the bike and motor back to the Orthapedic center where she is. I will keep ya posted.

A man who has become a friend purchased my RSTD. His name is Martin and he lives by Charlotte, NC. He is flying in this coming Saturday night to pick up the bike and ride it back to his home. He is a professional firefighter in Charlotte and all around good guy. I met him a few weeks ago when he was checking out a new fire engine for his department. He will be staying at my house Sat. night and we will be leaving with him on Sunday morning. Linda and I will ride about 200 miles with him and would like to arrange some riding company for him the rest of the way. We have not planned a route for him yet, but would like to get it done in 2 days, so I would imagine there will be a fair amount of interstate. The route will be from Merrimac, WI to Charlotte, NC Martin has also joined our group, but I don't know his user name, yet. Thanks

Any members in route to Ouray,Colorado I will be heading up to Ouray leaving Blanco,Texas on 8/22/08. First night staying in Clovis,New Mexico Second night Farmington,New Mexico. Both nights we will be at the LaQuinta motels in each city.Hope to meet a few on the way.I sent Cliffno350 an email as I know he lives around Clovis,NM. I will be pulling my Black trailer below,if anyone sees us flag us down! Tom

Got caught in the rain last week. Wiped the seat down and threw the wet rag in the bag that holds the wife's helmet. It's been hot and humid in the northeast. We were going to go for a ride last night and it was disgusting what was growing in that saddlebag and in her helmet. Needless to say I rode solo and I might have to buy her a new helmet if the smell doesn't go away.

I need some information. At the upcoming rally, we are having a very nice buffet of good German food for our Wednesday night wrap-up dinner. The information that I need is a head count of those people who have NOT registered but may be just tagging along for the ride from day to day but plan on joining us for the wrap-up dinner and paying for that on their own. The restaurant needs a head count no later then 7 days before the event so they know how much food to prepare. Anyone NOT registered that plans on joining us for the Wednesday night wrap-up dinner ($25.00) needs to let me know ASAP. August 25th I'm leaving for a 2 week trip, up to "the Hub" in Marble Falls, for one of Two Rallys. 1st Freemasons Riding Club Rally, August 28th 2nd to the Widows Sons National Rally, In South City Mo. August 30th 1st Nights stop Jacksonville Florida 2nd Night, Montgomery Alabama 3rd night, Corinth Ms. 4th night Marble Falls Sept. I'm heading to Olk, Ks, Tx (richlandhills area) south to I-10, LA, MS, AL, FL anyone live in those area's. meet you for dinner somewhere.

Anyone from around chicago going to Maintenance day? I am planning to leave the west suburbs Friday morning the 6th, and return sunday. So far my buddie Mel (Suzuki Boulevard)and I will be rideing together. He has to come home Sat night, so he will be looking for anyone comeing this way to ride with. We have a room at Days Inn Amherst Fri and Sat. Thought it might be nice to get a group together.

It always happens before I leave on vacation something always something. Bad storms one after another all day and night. Internet went down last night now the phone is out but internet is back up.If we get more rain might loose the foot bridge again.The stream is up no way to get in or OUT!! Were leaving Friday night I hope. Trees down, back yard full of water. I stopped by the camp this evening and my brand new locust rail fence is busted by a fallen locust tree. I never told MamaMo yet but that tree hit a ROSE!!

Last night we stayed at the camp for the first time. I got the new electric service wired up wednesday. Last evening we temp installed the bare necessities. Satellite TV,Cell phone booster, #@!%# No wifi signal anywhere. MamaMo, venture, and I spent the night while the kids stayed home and had a movie watching party. Alarm clock went off at 6:30am with a Canadian geese fly over. Still no scooter riding for me it's rain,rain, and more high water.:rain2:

My local dealer is hosting a Bike Night on Saturday May31, 2008 from 6-8pm..I wanted to invite anyone here that lives in the Houston Area to come out and join in the fun. OK folks, the good news is that I have just completed the initial installation of the newest software here for the site. It seems to have gone pretty well. Now obviously you will notice some things that are missing. I will be working on the site for most of the night but the downtime should be over. Please be patient as I work at restoring missing features and ironing out any bugs that may show up.

Well, I finally did it. With some regrets I've sold my 2000 RSV MM edition to a very nice guy (Erich Richey) from Illinois. He arrived last night via airplane, picked him up at the airport, he spent the night with us and he is leaving this morning for a 1048 mile trek to it's new home. I think he is going to get wet because the forecast does not look good for this evening and tomorrow especially in the midwest. He got a very good deal considering the bike is in like showroom condition except for a little dust on it, it has a lot of bells and whistles that a new one doesn't. Let's all wish him a safe journey home and good luck with his new ride.

what a night.........storms...tornados.......went thru about 3 rounds of it last night..... started here around 8 pm.......the entire ford plant while Dale was at work got sent downstairs for tornados......baseball size hail about 40 miles north of here...glad we didnt get that.... the worse round came thru about 2 am........huricane strength winds....they call em staright line winds here...lol./.... ..they some reached 120 mph......they say about 200 homes and businesses were flattened a lil south of here...... it woke me from a dead sleep when that one came thru......looked out my window and it was unreal.... luckily no damage here.......yard is full of tree branches.........and one tree behind our shed lost a huge branch...didn't fall on anything other than the neighbors fence.....couple nieghbors have some trees down also.. we have a brand new trampoline in the back yard......still there!!! we have sand bags on the legs cause we know what happens around here...don't think it would be in one piece this morning if we hadn't secured it.

Man.....that was a long winter. Put a new battery into the bike the other night. Spent part of last night changing the oil, change the rear end oil and have the old girl a much needed wash...that had to put her away as I had other commitments. Rode her to work today- first ride of the season - had a wide smile on my face all day...still smiling! Man those first gens are a sweet ride!!
